Went here in March for a nostril piercing. I called ahead in the morning to make sure the piercer was in. I was told I could come in then and only after getting there told he wouldn't be in for an hour. So an hour later I went back and was now told he wouldn't be in till 4. My third time visiting in one day the piercer was finally in and I could start the paperwork. Then had to use the ATM because they are cash only. Did not open the jewelry fresh but rather took it from a jar on the wall. I almost walked out then but had already spent the entire day trying to get the piercing so I took the chance. Out of all the piercings I've gotten from different places (I have 3 other body ones and multiple ear ones) this was the worst in both his process and incorrect aftercare advice. Pay the extra $30 and go somewhere that knows what they're doing. Read Less

I got an amazing tattoo today from Brett, all the staff here are so down to earth and the shop is super clean and they have great prices! I've gotten three tattoos from Heart & Dagger and have not been disappointed! Everyone is super professional and kind. They run a monthly tattoo special which you can check out on their facebook! They fairly price their tattoos and do amazing work. Definitely recommend going to Brett, he is fantastic ! Everyone at the shop is talented, so no matter who you go to you will be pleased. It is cash only, so make sure you have cash on you or are willing to use the ATM in the shop. I absolutely loved place! Such a good energy and fun group of people to be around! I was completely nervous to get my first tattoo, but my friend recommended me to shoot Brett a message and with no problem he consulted me and we planned to make this tattoo happen! I showed him an idea and he brought in different ideas to give me a pretty sweet ( and meaningful design!). He talked to me the whole time and kept me calm ( and it wasn’t bad at all!). Got tattooed by Brett, a mandala moon on my right shoulder blade that I love! It has an abstract butterfly in the middle of the crescent moon. He did a lighter shading of the veins of its wings so it would look more realistic and told me as he did so, so I would be aware for the healing process that said portion would be lighter. Loved that communication. Great attitude and personality, clean shop, only thing I didn't love was that pricing has to be done in person and they are roughly an hour away from me. BUT there's a shop opening up in Spotswood! Super excited for that! He's also going to do a mandala sun on my left shoulder blade after this one heals, can't wait! Read Less

Have tagged along with friends to a lot of tattoo shops over the years never actually feeling comfortable with something as permanent as a tattoo for myself, until I was a tag along for the last time at Heart & Dagger. Brett did an awesome job with my tattoo after a lot of fuss from my mother to approve the design. He didn’t once complain of changing the design and was very gracious and respectful to accommodate what I wanted and what worked best. He used his expertise to draw up a beautiful design not once, but twice, and nailed what I wanted and went above and beyond. If you’re looking for a great shop, look no further! First of all it's kind of annoying the only way you can make an appointment here is with a cash deposit (they are cash only btw). I was planning to get something from the FB special, nothing custom. Super disappointed, I live over an hour away and was excited to make it down here to take advantage of the Facebook special, only to end up waiting forever and having to leave with no tattoo. By far the best tattoo shop I've been to. Brian did 2 of my tattoos and they both came out beautiful & are my favorites out of all the tattoos I have. This is my second tattoo now by Brett. He is an outstanding artist and has completely blown me away with his professionalism, cleanliness, and thoroughness. It's no shock that Heart and Dagger disabled the option to write reviews on FB..I called the shop twice to find out the size and pricing for the March flash special and was told to see Facebook for pricing and to "come in and see" the size of the flash art. (Frustrating since I'm trying to fit this piece in between existing ink) So, I visited the shop and it was after I filled out the paperwork and handed over my license that I was told that there would be an extra TWENTY DOLLAR charge since I wanted the piece done on my back, because that makes sense . I was told that this mark up was posted on FB, so I should have been aware (this post is nowhere to be seen on FB). So, two phone calls and a 45 minute drive later, I found out a simple, 2 inch tattoo went from $40 to $60. I will be absolutely shocked if you guys remain in business after you're done swindling eager teens with your monthly "deals"Stick to producing quality art and helping people to express themselves instead of dampening what little trust is left in the world.
