I don’t usually knock places but had Damon do my tattoo 5 weeks ago today...Punisher skull. Tattoo itself turned out decent but needed some touch up work. He also didn’t discuss any aftercare accept to try and sell me his own homemade lube. First I had to email him several times before he responded to my touch up request. His response included an up-charge for some additional shading work (that we had already talked about at first visit and I was made to feel that it was included). Then we set a date and when I showed up TODAY he didn’t even have me in the books. After that he was hardly apologetic for it...just “sorry dude...and offered some times later in the day that wouldn’t work for me. He’s an ok artist but a dick of a dude. My girl was diagnosed with breast cancer in February and was on her second round of chemo which is when the hair starts to fall out. We are from out of town and couldn’t find anyone open besides Alpha. We walked in no appointment and asked them to shave her head. They looked at her kinda crazy at first. But after explaining what was going on they said yes. They not only buzzed her hair but made her fell special and made this an enjoyable experience. They got creative put a breast cancer ribbon on the back of her head and colored it in with a pink hair crayon. Thank you so much to all the staff at Alpha. I have 3 tattoos, 2 of which are from Alpha Red, 1 I got at Baraboo Electric. Let’s just say I want to Baraboo Electric for my third because it was a little cheaper. Long story short, I regret it and am going in tomorrow to get it fixed by Alpha Red. Thus paying more, rather than paying the extra 20 to begin with. I went in for a simple haircut. After I seen ads for a “hot” shave I asked if she could give me a shave also. It definitely wasn’t hot. She nicked me, and left some hair on my neck. I wouldn't go as far as saying they are rude, more like disingenuous and not that interested in working. My sister was able to get the tat she wanted but it was like they were meh and almost discouraging for the first few minutes. I wasn't able to get my tat because the other artists had appointments but there was 0 interst in booking me an appointment. Damien did a very nice tat on my sister but after I paid the $400 (350 for tat 50 tip) I was trying to talk to him about the tat I wanted but he showed his true colors of disinterest, instead of setting up an appointment for me so we could design and do my tat he was like here's my card email me. I've been reading the reviews and a majority of them have been good, until I came across a review about a service dog not being allowed in the tattoo station for "sanitary" reasons which is very understandable. But it also says the place is a "Barber studio" aka "Barber shop". So how exactly is that sanitary? I mean unless the barber area is air sealed to prevent contaminates from hair that may or may not be visable to the human eye from entering other areas of the shop! Andrea is amazing! I have been going to her throughout all stages of my hair regrowth. She was able to make me like the little hair that I had as I was transitioning from being ill. Having curly, natural hair, find a stylist that is comfortable with cutting and styling my kind of hair has been a challenge, but she has done it! She the first stylist to cut my hair curly. And since it has grown out, the texture has changed, but she took the time to tutor me, and walk me through... each step of the process yesterday. So not only did I leave feeling like my hair looked and felt great, but I also left feeling confident that I could maintain the style myself. My husband and I decided at the last minute we wanted tattoos. We are not from the Dells area, this place was recommended to us by a friend. We went to the shop, told them what we wanted and Damen went right to work on them. The tattoos turned out amazing!! They were exactly what we wanted and look awesome. Damen did a great job talking with me through my whole tattoo, you almost forget what's actually happening. We are very, very pleased with our experience here. The staff has a unique way of making you feel at home. I had my tattoo done first and as my husband was getting his, I sat with Andrea and talked family. I got my first tattoo from Pedro and was not happy with it. He was in a hurry and didnt do a good job. He charged me 200.00 and I had to come back to have it fixed. He over charged me. Went to Joey a couple years back to do a cover up of a previous tattoo and was highly impressed with the detail and color! I went in with a couple of concepts in mind and he blew me out of the water with what he came up with! I just recently went back to add more detail to the existing piece and, again, he did an amazing job! I received a ton of compliments on both of his pieces, therefore I have recommended a lot of friends/family to his shop.
