The artists are kind and skilled in their trade, understanding of all, and work with you to make sure you have the best possible experience. The shop is very clean, and has a good non threatening atmosphere. The artists make sure you understand how to take care of your new tattoo, and are always available for questions. This is a great place to get some quality work done ! Many talented artists - whether you are black white purple Gay Straight man woman trans whatever they pride themselves on being an open place for all to get tattooed -no the work will likely not be cheap and the end result will show it! It may take you a while to get in but it is worth it ! I got in with Chris Burke he designed me an original piece and did a second piece where we sat for almost 10 hours - he is amazing and I'm sure there is a artist for everyone at the shop !!! Michael Perry from Riverwest tattoo is absolutely phenomenal! I will never let anyone else tattoo me ever. He truly is a master at artistic realism. He is very helpful and understanding. I love my tattoo!! It was done in honor of my mother/best friend who passed away a couple years ago...my sister and I adopted a wolf from a friend of ours (because mom LOVED wolves) so it was important to me to get the exact image of "Jeannie" Michael accomplished that beautifully!!! I am super picky when it comes to a tattoo artists style, and creativity. That's why i chose to go to Riverwest Tattoo Company, for Garret B. His style and creativity was a perfect match for the vision I had in mind for my half sleeve. Super professional, friendly as can be, and draws up some badass designs. The shop itself is very laid back, and an all around fun atmosphere. The shop is also very clean, and they play awesome music! I shopped around for months and months to find a tattoo artist that i liked to do my half sleeve. I came across Garrett B's Instagram and immediately loved his unique style and creativity. Every step of the way Garrett was awesome, from the consultation, to the last minute of two 5 hour sessions. I loved my time at Riverwest Tattoo! I got a large side tattoo that took many sittings (4 total). Every time I went in everyone was very friendly. My artist, John Tierney, did an amazing job drawing up my tattoo and giving me exactly what I wanted, a very unique and personal tattoo. I had an unpleasant first tattoo experience so I was skeptical of ever getting one done again, but Chris really took the time to make my experience personal at the same time as professional. He really listened to my wants, was patient, took his time, and created artwork on me that I am so very proud of. The environment of the shop is very very clean and relaxed. There was music, essential oils diffusing, and art displayed that made the feel of the shop so cool and unique. Chris is amazing! Not only is this group of people incredibly talented, they've also got hearts of gold! They offered a tattoo special and worked on over 150 people from 1pm-6am to help raise money for my mother who's been struggling to pay her medical bills for her breast cancer treatments. I love this tattoo shop, the people are very friendly and make you feel right and home. i had my tattoo done by john Tierney, he redid a tattoo that i had done a couple of years ago that was not great. I loved that he took his time and the end result was awesome and just what i wanted. i was able to sit there and joke with the whole staff and talk and see what others where having done. So what do you do when your tattoo artist moves to another shop? If he is good you follow him and John Tierney is effin amazing!! I couldn't be happier about the shop he moved to as well. The shop is clean, well laid out and has a real eclectic atmosphere. Got there a little early and one of the other artist's Chris aka Honesty was extremely pleasant and friendly. Since I got there early Honesty showed me this cool café that was only a block away with some pretty good food. I paged through some of the other artist's portfolio's and they all had amazing work, especially Chris Burke's realism. If you go here you won't be disappointed by their friendliness, shop atmosphere and art work. Only downfall for me is that I'll be spending more gas but it is totally worth it!!!! Read Less

My best friend moved away today and we decided last minute we needed tattoos. Gina was able to get us in yesterday. Firstly, Gina is just awesome in general. Really easy to get along with and had good tips about where to put our design. She was also very patient with us while we debated for a good 35 minutes about where we were going to put the tattoos. We brought her a really simple design but she executed it perfectly. Aside from Gina being awesome, she was very professional. I also really enjoyed this tattoo shop for its ambiance.
