My guy Jesse puts the work in!!! Old school style with new school rules. Everything he does feels genuine and handcrafted. I remember my first time here I was a little tepid because he made his own rendition of what I sent in to him. When I saw what he’d made from it, I never looked back. I've gotten three tattoos from Jesse, and my husband has a gorgeous half-sleeve and a shoulder piece done by him as well. Jesse is an incredible artist - he can dream up beautiful images based on what you're thinking of (my husband's ink), or in my case - trace and perfectly replicate someone's handwriting. I left a review before but not seeing it now. I got a tattoo from my man Jesse last August. It was a very important piece to me as my cousin just passed away and it was a half sleeve. (Hope you remember it, it was a Ohio State Red O with the words, you should be here). I went in with a image I thought was good but Jesse added his own touches and made it something I couldn't even imagine, it was truly incredible. He did the tattoo for me after hours and was so flexible with my work schedule. It was great getting to know him and more about Milwaukee because I just had moved here recently last year. I had to give Mania Ink my 5 star review approval because as a new customer and bringing in my adult daughter for her first ever tattoo we were treated well. Jesse runs a clean studio and was very informative of what he was doing and left both my daughter an I at ease.  I have had work done before at two other studios and have to say that out of the past several artists I have dealt with Jesse has been the nicest and thorough.  He took the extra time to size up the idea I had and made it work. I had wanted a difficult letterboxing stamp inked onto my arm so it looked as though someone stamped it onto my arm.  It looks amazing and I couldn't be happier. My daughter had a knife put onto her arm and the detail and shading look amazing.  His prices are fair and he clearly wants to not only do a good job but wants the art he makes to last.  We will back! Got a great deal with groupon type coupon. As soon as he found out I had a coupon, the price of the tattoo went up so it made the price like there was no groupon break at all. The work was just ok. He forgot to do a part of the tattoo and I had to come back to have it fixed. I had one groupon left to use. I wasn't able to get an appointment until one day after it expired. I asked him if he would extend it one day. He said no I can't, that's a coupon policy. Bologna. He wasnt even willing to work with me to come in when we both had availability. He could have and should have honored it. I mean really? I couldn't come in one day after the expiration? He couldn't schedule me in any sooner. And how is that my fault. I called well in advance to schedule that visit, not after expiration date. No apology or anything. Poor customer service. Would not recommend. Read Less

Jesse is an awesome artist. I went to him because I had purchased some coupons from a website and this was my first tattoo. Originally was just going to have the Arch Angel St. Michael put on my upper arm. I went in with an idea and picture, explained my self what I was thinking and before I knew it a week later he had the most unique and mind blowing design that covered my back. Jesse has done the majority of my tattoos and is one of the best artists in the city. Like a previous review said, he listens to ideas you have, come sup with different drawings and is very flexible on changes people want and provides a very interactive, fun, clean experience.
