I had a hard time deciding on artists as I had to click with their portfolio and style; I had been looking at artists when I turned 18 but didn't find much that was close enough or what I was looking for until after I was 20. I came across Beata on Instagram through mutuals. She does amazing stuff! The contact process was quick and she was not only willing to consult via email because I lived 4+ hours North of MKE, but she also willingly answered all my questions regarding ta...ttoo placement and style. When I arrived, she was kind and invited me to look over the stencil placement before we did anything else. She went nice and slow for the tattooing process as I wasn't sure what to expect and she regularly checked in to make sure I was doing alright throughout the whole process. I'm not exactly the best at small talk but I enjoyed chatting with her about college, cats, etc. The shop was beautiful and clean; there were large mirrors to check out tattoos, friendly staff, and the most importantly an atmosphere of mutual respect between Beata, myself, and the other artist working with his own client. Ever since that day, I've recieved nothing but compliments about my tattoo! Beata does some amazing linework and if you're looking for amazing grayscale shading, she's great at that too! I made that trip to MKE exclusively to be tattooed by Beata and I don't regret it one bit. Beata and Akara Arts made my first tattoo experience incredible and gave me the love of getting new tattoos! I was a newbie and got my first tattoo by Scott. I started with a half sleeve which over time turned into a full sleeve. I plan on using Scott again when I am finished with my idea for my other sleeve. I have had multiple compliments from complete strangers on how clean his lines are and shading.
