The owner, tattooed a Pegan goat with two snakes around it on my calf. Out of the 25 other tattoos I have, it is by far my favorite! The detail in this piece is astounding! Don't go here!!!!! Don't give this man your time or business! Tattoos are meaningful things and he lacks the ability to pay attention to detail and make good judgement. I'm an American Soldier who went in to have a spiked chain around my arm done with a broken chain link. I had been planning the tattoo for over a year and even used createmytattoo.com to help make it perfect. This man failed to add a broken link and a number of spikes on the chain. He swore he could still fix it but on my next visit so upon my next visit he attempted to tattoo me knowing that he was ill, and fell asleep with his eyes open and messed up my tattoo even worse. Adding scribbles and lines out of place. He again swore he could have his buddy fix it. He then tried to have me come back later before his mistakes could heal on my arm to do more work to try to correct it. He failed to acknowledge that doing so would only create scar tissue and make things worse. I was denied a refund of any kind, and denied to see my contract in any way. I was threatened that I had no rights and that he would involve his lawyers. He also called my Sergeant every name in the book other than the one his mother gave him. This man doesn’t respect soldiers that fight for his country. This guy is not a reliable source to get a tattoo from. I feel ashamed that I even trusted this man. Now I'm out $770 and feel ashamed to wear short sleeves. His idea of fixing your problem will be to keep trying to do your tattoo but he will keep messing up and his idea of a refund will be store credit to his shop only after that being where he just messed up your art. He might say he’ll pay for laser removal but that’s a lie since it cost more than giving back the refund to begin with. He won’t admit it but he recently cut his hand and can’t perform art as well as before since he didn’t go see a doctor. There are better shops in the area don't take this risk. Please believe the other negative reviews. He doesn't take good care of his customers he only cares about himself, and not how badly he might mess up your life!!!! me and a friend wanted to get some song lyrics and went to vernos on a last minute basis. everything was good until we saw the tattoos. the lines were not straight and it looked like a preschooler wrote the words which he was following a stencil so how could u eff that up.. idk. anyways my friends was worse and she was super upset and mine looks terrible as well. now we are frantically trying to find someone to fix it before our moms find out hahaha Read Less

Verno was a really good guy who worked with me to create the tattoo I wanted, and since it was my first he did a lot to make sure I was comfortable and talked me through most of it. I came back later and got a few piercings too and she was amazing too, talked me through what she was doing and checked in multiple times to make sure I was doing okay. Got my first tattoo here. Done by Verno. First and foremost, he seemed irritated that I had come there with a design I just wanted done, rather than something he created. He also was very unprofessional, frequent smoke breaks, hitting on my girlfriend, randomly leaving. My tattoo was a very simple concept. He was very heavy handed with it. Left a lot of scarring, colored outside of the some of the lines, made it too small, and left some parts of the tattoo unfilled. Overall, was not worth the money. Trying a new place now. Read Less

Went there for the first time a week ago. Toast did some song lyrics on my forearm. Had a great consultation to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. Did a fantastic job and it came out amazing. I went in to get a tattoo done of my grandmas name. I was greeted by awesome and friendly people, the atmosphere in the place had such good and welcoming warm vibes. I loved the fountains and all of the marvel stuff too. The pin head doll from Hellraiser was so awesome. I was helped right away, in fact, called the night before, and had left a msg on how Steves refused to see me that night & how much the guy over there had a very bad attitude. I was told early the next day via... phone to come on in. Best thing to ever happen. My tattoo took a few min and looks so outstanding and classy, elegant, and so professional. Everyone who has seen it has said its the best tattoo they've ever seen. The guy who did my tattoo was amazing, friendly, made it very welcoming to be there, and did exactly what I was looking for and more! I love the screen that you can look at too, before you even get it done. Very cool, never seen one in any other tattoo place, and again, very fun to see it done that way instead of waiting for a drawing to get done, which takes time. I absolutely love Vernos and the people there, and recommended all my fam & friends & co workers there bc of how good the place is. Five stars for customer service. 5 for great atmosphere and the welcoming and warm attitudes of the people working there, 5 for decoration and location, 5 for bring helped immediately after leaving a msg the night before, and 10 stars for the quality of my tattoo and how well it was done. Artist did not complete the work he was paid for, and put me off months to finish. I confronted the owner of the shop, and he said it was between the artist and I, and claimed there was nothing he could do, and became verbally abusive. After the artist finally finished the piece, he intentionally scarred my tattoo, and I will have to pay someone else to fix it. Very unprofessional. I went here to get my belly button pierced on my 18th birthday. I didn't do a ton of research, but I had heard that some people cannot get theirs pierced. I asked the woman if I was able to since I was very small, and she said it was a myth. She pierced through my actual belly button, the scar tissue and everything. I didn't think much of it until it started to get infected and pulling the top ball into my navel. I went to Vernos with my dad and Verno told us that he would give me a refund if I wanted and that I could come back again to let him know, and possibly get a new one. I went back a couple of months later after it healed, alone, and he told me he never said I could get a refund and was very rude about it. I now have a scar on my navel and am $45 short. Not only that, but he was constantly hitting on my sister and making her feel very uncomfortable.Needless to say, I will not be going back there again. Read Less

verno's custom tattoo is by far the most unique tattoo shop I have ever been in. It is very cozy, down to earth, and laid back. Besides the crazy artwork, the artists are super friendly. All of the artists are amazingly talented and super hot!! My personal favorite...Adam Ryan... is not only gorgeous...but he is a phenominal artist. He has done a few of my tattoos and they are very bright and clean. I thought I knew what to expect from a good artist...and then I saw his work and now my standards are way higher! I got my first big tattoo from Adrian there, and both he and the owner (the two main artists) are extremely talented. Everyone is really friendly, they have a great intimate shop set-up and treat people very well. They're not snotty and elitist like some artists can be. They're ready and willing to work with you on the design and pricing to make sure that you get your money's worth.
