I just finished up a Doctor Who sleeve with Jes (4 sessions over 4 months). Words cannot express how amazing it was to work with Jes. I gave him a few general ideas/wants and what he was able to do with those ideas absolutely blows my mind. I am in love with my tattoo!!! The shop is very comfortable, clean and is truly full of amazing artists. You won't find a better shop in this city. Just visited Iron Quill again at their new location on the West Side and got some work done by Janelle. I could not be more impressed -- Janelle's work is amazing and she is very gentle on the skin. She was able to capture everything that I wanted in my memorial piece and while I was getting tattooed, she kept conversation going and in general, is such a fun person to be around. I had a wonderful experience at Iron Quill. I saw Jake for the first time for an animal portrait. From the consult to paying when we were finished I couldn't have felt more comfortable. Jake and all of his co workers are great (and entertaining!) , you can tell they really love what they do. Everyone is welcoming and very friendly. I will be highly recommending IQ. I googled the best tattoo in WI and I found this. My friend and I followed their IG, we were so super exciting. My friend made the appointment over a week ahead and told exactly what she wants. We drove two hours and even up... the appointment was just short "welcome" meeting then they ask when will my friend want her tattoo? She had to went in my car and crying. They are nice to give money back but please don't ever do that short meeting with people who live far away that yo...u could have do on phone or email. I was looking forward to get tattoo here in the future from Audra or so but after what happen, I will never be back since I don't want make 2-3 trips to "finally" get tattoo? Shop is beautiful and artist are amazing but this "meeting" is downhills, never experience this "hello, nice to meet you" appointment in other shops, I have been to over 10 tattoo places. Just got a new tattoo....I went to iron quill on a reference from someone who had been there and said they do amazing work. Called and set up a consultation with Audra and give her an idea of what I wanted. With her amazing drawing hand she was able to draw something up and email to me. Can't say enough good things about this place. My sleeve is a little more than half done, and every time I leave I'm more in love with it. Super awesome staff & atmosphere. They do what they can to make sure the right artist works on your piece. Travis is creating the fabulous art on my arm right now, but having spent a lot of hours in the shop, I'd be happy to have any of the artists do future work. This is an extremely clean and professional tattoo shop. Jes and Travis are phenomenal at setting a positive tone. I've been tattooed by Jes, Audra, and Travis. You'll pay a little more than some shops in town, but the quality of the work at IQ is worth the price. I got a tattoo done by an apprentice who is no longer there. After my first handful of tattoos being poorly done, I was excited to work with this person because they seemed very talented and like they had good workmanship. I got two done, one being a large killer whale on my side and a small moon. The tattoo was awesome when it was done then it went downhill. I was at the shop for a friends appointment and got to talking to Jes, and he looked at it and offered to fix the whale for free. I know he's got a busy schedule so I haven't been able to get in or chat with him about fixing it, but I hope I can get it done by him!
