The staff were very talented artists. They make you feel comfortable as they are piecing all body parts. I had my eyebrow and top of my left ear pierced. Sadly, I had a situation similar to others.   Owner is RUDE and place stinks of stale cigarettes!   29 yrs ago, I had my tattoo done there.  I've wanted it recolored for some time now.   Stopped in on a Tuesday and discussed it with a worker, (big guy with gauges in his ear).   He was helpful, knowledgeable and polite.  He looked at it, gave me an estimate and suggested I come in at about noon the following day to have it done.  I showed up the next day and had a completely different experience.  Guy (bald) working that day was obnoxious!  I'm assuming it was the owner, based on other posts.  He immediately started bitching about how his 'computer wasn't working', 'he was too busy' and previous employee 'never should have told me to come back'.  I was actually taken aback by how abrupt he was with me.   Entire conversation was less than 60 seconds.  As I left, I paused in the stairwell to text my friend, that's when I overheard him call the other employee and proceed to thoroughly chew him out.   He told the guy I was 'screaming at him' and 'making a scene'.  TOTAL LIES!!!!  I popped my head back in, said, 'How dare you!', then left.  Now after checking Yelp, I see this is his usual way of doing business. How sad that this small, bitter, miserable man tarnishes what should be a great place.  I suggest taking your business to Lake City Tattoo instead. Read Less

Came in for my first tattoo ever with my girlfriend.  We both actually got out first tattoos that day.  We were able to get right in and felt very welcome.  The artwork done was amazing.  I couldn't be happier with the art my girl friend and I received.  I wish I could remember the woman's name but she's been tattooing for almost 30 years and I felt comfortable with everything.  They gave us excellent advice on after care and we had some fun conversations while I was getting my work done.  I felt like I wanted to tip her so much because the entire experience was awesome! My brother and I came in as walk-ins and we were welcomed as though we had an appointment. Both employees were awesome! We got 2 tattoos done, nothing major, and it took less than an hour but both look perfect! Awesome experience! DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP! To start they are SUPER unfriendly the woman there looks like she hasn't smiled in centuries. I said hello they all looked at me and ignored me. I asked to pierce my nipples with bar bells and he told me no.... for cleaning purposes so I went along with it. Called three other shops and read pages and pages of blogs online on how any TRUE professional would never start off with a hoops for nipple piercings. Every shop I called was genuinely upset he did that. So I called back and asked for him to change them and he said NO!!! So now I have to pay someone else to fix the problem!!!!! By far the filthiest and dirtiest tattoo and piercing place I have ever been to in my life. On top of that, the most unprofessional personal I have ever met in my life. The owner has a "no smoking" sign and has a cigarette hanging out of his mouth wanting to do a tattoo or piercing. I recommend that if you need a piercing or tattoo, go to any place but this place. In addition, it took him over a minute to greet my friend and I when we walked in even though we were standing right in front of him, he found it more important to continue gossiping rather than greet us. I don't understand this place.First of all, I have waiting a month to write this and my tattoo is still peeling.I made it VERY clear that this was my first tattoo in 10 years and they gave me ZERO after care instructions... had to look online and ask friends.  The guy was irritated with me the whole time because I was really nervous and unsure if I was going to do it that day.Finally, my tiny arrow ($45) is incomplete.  there is one line on the arrow head that isn't straight and is so thin it looks unfinished.  There was someone after me with a big tattoo that they wanted and I understand my little arrow isn't such a big deal... but still.  I felt like a nuisance instead of a customer.Really unhappy considering a lot of people I know have come here for tattoos.  We drove about an hour to get there too so it's not like I can just pop on by and get it fixed.  Ugh. I've been here previously years ago for a piercing.  I love this place for piercings! (Haven't gotten a tattoo here so cannot vouch for that personally.)I appreciate the prices for their piercings.  Seriously, $60 for a simple little lip piercing? (After calling around some).  $20 sounds way more better and I guarantee you there's not much difference in product.They were busy today, so I was lucky to get in.  I felt kinda bad that they were swamped but hey I was only in town until tomorrow!  Haha.Vince totally helped me out and was efficient in the piercing, not only that but was great with sanitation.  Seemed like a nice dude too.  He marked down two spots for me and asked which side looked better for my lip piercing.. And I decided!  I loved it.. But then hours later the perfectionist in me was kinda wishing I chose the other spot.  No big deal!  I'm very indecisive. I would give 5 stars however I was bothered by another employee who was smoking in the shop.  Who does that?  Smoke can irritate broken skin from piercings or tattoos.  Just not a good idea in my opinion.  Oh well!  Love my piercing and Vince did a good job.  So that's what matters to me. My husband and I were in  Lake Geneva for our honeymoon and my husband had the awesome idea of getting matching tattoos. We found this place while walking around town.  We went there when it opened at noon and talked to the owner (damn, I forgot his name) about what we wanted. We wanted the infinity symbol with an anchor incorporated into it. I showed him a picture of it and he said lets jazz it up a little bit.  He ended up sketching it right then and it came out so much better than the original picture! I cannot even begin to explain my anger and disappointment in this parlor. Me and my friends entered this shop to get some small and simple friendship tattoos. As I entered I smelled cigarette, which obviously to me was a tad concerning, but assumed it was just smells coming from the pizza joint below the shop. As we waited for our artist to sanitize the area the owner of the shop questioned me and my friends tattoos "who did it?, how much was it?, how long did it take?, yadayadayada" and his responses truly offended my friend and I as well as our beautiful tattoos. After we told him that Good Family did them he bagged on the parlor, which I find extremely immature of a so-called "professional artist" to say, he then went on to say that he could do the tattoo quicker, cheaper, and indirectly stated that he could do them better. It truly baffles me that any real artist would bag on another artists work in that way. And once that was over and done with he could not stop cracking jokes about Good Family, which to be honest weren't the least bit funny, just straight up annoying. I am a cool tempered girl, but boy oh boy I almost FREAKED! Not to mention, when we told him that we didn't want our tattoos filled he totally laughed at our tattoos, like really? Do you even want our service at all? But I stayed calm and brushed it off. After our tattoos were done our artist asked the owner if he wanted to see, and he straight up said no which was so unbelievably inconsiderate. when we went to pay I almost didn't want to tip, but I remembered that it wasn't our artist that treated us with such disrespect it was the COCKY, RUDE and INTOLERABLE owner. Overall my experience at Lake Geneva Tattoo was TERRIBLE. But it made me realize that for any future tattoos or piercings I will continue going to Good Family Tattoo, because it is a clean, smoke free environment, where the sanitation is up to date and the artists are kind and considerate of all customers and fellow artists.P.s Mr. Owner Sir, for future references; when you bag on other artists work it just makes you look immature and jealous. My husband and I went on a small honeymoon to lake Geneva and wanted to get anchor tattoos while we were there. We heard of this place and decided "why not?". We called and Vince asked what we wanted and told us to come right in. We get there and start the process and were taking, I tell him my husband and I had just gotten married and yada yada. He then begins to tape my ring and I say "do you need me to take my ring off?" Thinking no big deal I'll just have my husband hold it. His response: "no, that's not a good look. You just got married" HOW SWEET IS THAT?! He totally made my experience because he was so unbelievably thoughtful and our tattoos look amazing. I had my first tattoo done here a few years ago by Greg and loved it, so when I decided to get another one it was a no brainer, but to go back. Bad move.I now have a service animal to help with a medical issue and he nearly went nuts about her being there. I am fully aware of how ADA works, and when I pulled up the ADA site which explained everything he got huffy and started making all these calls, leaving the poor guy who was going to do my work kind of in the dark. He would also got upset when I said that if need be I would call the Department of Justice, and mocked my saying so when on a call to disprove me. I did call the ADA hotline and they told me that he was wrong and that I was remembering the laws properly. Meanwhile he was told the same thing by one of his employees and by someone on the phone and he was not happy, at all.I did get my tat done, but I swear he jacked the price in spite. The one on my back is a heck of a lot bigger and more detailed than the simple script I had done on my arm and it was nearly the price of the elaborate one.He then when to ask what service dogs do, which he can legally ask as he was not asking about my situation, and was very clear on his thoughts on the subject..which is not very good.There are two more pieces that I wanted to have done, but I will not be going back; which is a shame because the guy that did it was really nice and did good work. Soccer moms. Girls weekend in Lake Geneva. Nose piercings. Good stuff. This place has very friendly staff, and it is a clean environment. Super convenient location with good hours of operation. (There were several people in there getting tattoos and they reported that they come here for all their work and they were pleased). This was my second visit to Lake Geneva Tattoo, which also sometimes goes by Lil' Greg's Tattoo.  My first tattoo there was done ten years ago by Chicago Ed.  Yesterday I received my second, by Lil' Greg, and am IN LOVE.  The first tat still looks just as good as it did on day one and I have total confidence that the second one will look as good ten years from now as it does today.  Why? Because Lil' Greg makes 'em that way. He's one of the last remaining "old school" artists, trained by the guys that made the swallow tattoos you see on all the girls nowadays popular the first time around.  He knows his shit and he's been doing it for well over twenty years.  What's more is that he could charge custom outrageous prices, but he keeps it reasonable.  The man is a genius.  Mom and Auntie got tats too.  Both of theirs were done by Alan, who's a wiz with the small details.  My mom's bracelet tattoo looks damn near real.  Fantastic.  I'm tempted to return to Lake Geneva for all my future tattoos, despite the fact I'll be living across the country. I went to Lake Geneva Tattooing Co. get my first tattoo. Needless to say it didn't happen. Since the parlor is in the touristy part of town, it was pretty busy when we arrived. We were basically ignored when we got there, but were fine just looking through the flash. Eventually we approached the counter and were told the wait was two hours. Fine. We told them we'd come back then. It wasn't an issue and we just cruised around town for a bit and came back when we were told to. When we got back to the parlor, they told us it would be another hour and a half or so. Right as the tattooed guy at the counter said this, one of the other employees brought in the whole crew lunch. Keep in mind the shop opens at noon and it was already 3PM. I was furious, and I could tell the people who were being tattooed were furious when their artists took a break to chow down right there in the shop. As soon as that happened, I and my friend stormed out of there, even though our name was on the waiting list. I'm sure the folks at Lake Geneva Tattooing Co. do a good job, but their unprofessionalism was apparent. Read Less
