I originally posted my bad experience on Facebook but they deleted it. So I’ll share it here! I booked an appointment with them on 4/17/18 for an appt on 5/10/18 with an artist named Aaron. I drove an hour to get there, took off work, husband took off work to watch our son just to be told “oh we “forgot” to book your appointment. We will reschedule you another time!” I lost a payday, my husband lost a payday. I wasted gas and my day to be told they’ll reschedule me?? They didn’t even apologize or try to mend the unorganized and unprofessionalism I encountered today. I highly do not recommend wasting your time with this place. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. As soon as I walked through the door Brooke ( btw amazing piercer, I was in and out within 10 mins) asked me what I was looking for and immediately hooked me up with Tj Link.  Tj Link is the man, he is brilliantly amazing at what he does and I couldn't be more satisfied! Working here at 100 Proof Tattoo has been an experience I'll never forget and I'm so thankful DJ and Jamie chose me to be the shop girl for the last 10 months. The atmosphere here is great. Pool table and large waiting area. The artists are all very talented and friendly. The front desk people are cool. It's what a tattoo shop should be like. Everyone is laid back. Pricing is also very good. Work speaks for itself. Highly recommended. Read Less

Doug the Tattoo guy quit on me with no call no show. He was almost finished my tattoo. Tj stated he would pick up where he left off which was great. Made appointment for 3 months later and the day before my appointment, tj messages me (never called me) and states he has shoulder doctor appointment and reschedules for later that day. This was fine but when later came around , he texted me and stated he was "sick". Stated we could do Sunday. Claimed he was still sick Sunday. Was in Monday and when I attempted to call, desk lady stated he was with client. Attempted to text him, and turns out he has blocked my number. This guy is flakey and if he decides he doesn't want to, he blows you off. Avoid this place and staff. It's a shame because I really liked the place and had good work done but having two tattoos artist bail on me displays unreliability. Read Less

Brought my son in today for his 1st tattoo. TJ did a phenomenal job! The shop is a work of art in itself and the people make you feel right at home! Thank you TJ for giving my son an amazing piece of art to be proud of and we can't wait to come back and get the rest of the arm done! 100 Proof Tattoo is off the charts amazing! Visiting Shepherdstown for a teaching institute, decided to shake things up a bit. What an amazing experience. In our group we had a piercing, first time tattoo, and a medium sized piece. 100 Proof really made it an actual experience for everyone in our group. Travis did my tattoo and it is beautiful. Everyone there made us feel right at home and welcome. If I didn't live so far away I would make this my go to tattoo place. I highly recommend 100 Proof and Travis! Thanks again guys!!!! Read Less

Great place to get a tattoo had some work done but needed to add more got ahold of DJ and he looked out for me. I would definitely recommend going to 100 proof if you want good work and if you are not a 100 percent happy they will make it right. Read Less

I am so satisfied with my work by the artist Doug at this shop! I came in yesterday on my 22nd birthday to get a tattoo for my children, I showed him a few pics and he elegantly combinded them and made the perfect tat! Absolutely love this place! I came here almost a year ago with my brother and some friends and got amazing work done by Doug! He's done some great detailed tattoos for us. I've had two done and my brother, sister-in-law, and roommate got some pieces done that blew me away! Very professional and accommodating. I had a 20 year old tattoo that I picked off a wall when I was too young and dumb to know better. As my husband says, it was so faded it could be covered up with crayon, and I hated seeing it every day. I took a drawing in and showed it to Doug and he said it would work. It took two sessions, but my cover up is finally done and I couldn't be happier with it! Doug tweaked the original drawing a bit to really cover the first tattoo and the only way you'll ever know it's a cover up is if you knew what was there before you saw the new tattoo. I absolutely love this place. I got my first tattoo done here by Bob who was very nice and did exactly what I wanted. He did a beautiful job and made me feel comfortable. I highly highly recommend going here even if you have to travel. I live in Centreville VA which is about 1 hour and a half away. But I will never go anywhere else! I highly recommend 100 proof tattoo, they take pride in their art, and don't treat you like your just a customer. Such a great environment, you will never leave there and regret getting a tattoo, piercing or anything. It's a fun, friendly, caring, and always positive shop. I have never met a owner of a shop who gives back to the community, the "inklings", and just loves everyone. D.J. is a good guy, he knows what he is doing and has a awesome shop!
