True Grit Tattoo is a safe, visually pleasing, comfortable tattoo shop with a couple of really great artists available. Chris does a lovely job. I had spent some time seeking an artist to begin on an American traditional Star Wars sleeve, and was very happy to discover that Chris was just who I was looking for. He is a focused artist who knows his craft. His line work is solid, and he is a wizard with color. I am so very excited to see what pieces he can whip up next! I have not yet received a tattoo from his counterpart, Jacob, though the artwork he displays on the walls and his friendly personality assure me that the two artists are a diligent and talented team. If you seek artists who understand basic principles and beyond, artists who maintain sanitary conditions, artists who are personable and welcoming, and one epic tattoo piece (or maybe a few), True Grit Tattoo is where you'll want to go.

Chris is amazing. He was so patient with me through my rib tattoo (I took a lot of breaks and needed to end it early etc). He also drew it up exactly how I envisioned it and was absolutely reasonable ...
Chris is amazing. He was so patient with me through my rib tattoo (I took a lot of breaks and needed to end it early etc). He also drew it up exactly how I envisioned it and was absolutely reasonable on price. It's my favorite tattoo. I'll be a return customer.

For anyone looking for a well executed tattoo, clean shop, and cool artists, True Grit is the place to go. C. Rhodes tattooed my wife and I with an original design, and I'm 100% satisfied with it. I drove up from Milwaukie, OR and it's well worth the drive. I'll definitely be returning!

Everyone was super friendly and very helpful. Right away I noticed how clean the shop was too cause I went to a couple other shops and it wasn't as clean as true grit. I had an idea for a tattoo but didn't have a drawing and This guy named Rhodes drew up exactly what I wanted. He is super talented and was very professional as well. My tattoo came out great and it healed very well. the whole experience was awesome. I am definitely going back. I am so happy! Please go and get tattooed here!
