I highly recommend Velma at lady bonds! I was concerned about my particular tattoo being I was getting it on my head, so I did a ton of research and found Velma as a referral from another tattoo artist from another shop. I needed this tattoo to be perfect as I was getting it due to the fact that i have alopecia areata and I was tired of covering up my hair loss and wanted to take control of my own body. I was looking to get a very simple tattoo... One of my family members suggested and talk great about this troll name.... well let's just leave it at that she's a troll! So as one does I called to set up an appointment and a consultation. We put a $40 deposit down which seem normal. Now we weren't able to choose a date to come in she actually suggested certain dates that we picked out of. Sure that seem fine... But then out of nowhere a couple weeks before someone from the shop ( not her) had called to cancel my appointment and set a new date. Fine. I was a little irritated but I understood. So the day had come to get my tattoo very excited and happily we walked into the shop. I walked in and said I'm here for my appointment!!! To which they told me that I had missed my appointment. Which is straight up bullshit! So I said OK mistakes happen, the person who called me must have made a mistake and informed me incorrectly about the date. So still being very patient I just asked for my deposit back since it wasn't my fault that I had missed the date. Apparently these people don't care about the kind of service they give, they denied my deposit and they couldn't do anything about my situation. This kind of ruined my afternoon, I am very disappointed and saddened about the way I was treated. I will be telling my friends and relatives about that kind of  service this shop has to offer. If this troll needed the $40 she could've just asked for them, i'm sure someone would've just given them to her. Read Less

After almost a year of research, I ended up choosing this shop based on its reviews and the artist's splendid portfolios. However, I was disappointed when the day came to get my tattoo. I had had a consultation with the artist I thought would do the best work for the style I wanted (Ly HoriSoda), and discussed my ideas, and I had stressed my worry about getting the colors right. He had reassured me that he would do a sketch and it would be a great tattoo. I paid $20 for the sketch, and $40 for the deposit. But when the day came, I was only shown a very plain black and white rough draft of what my tattoo would look like, and when I had asked to see if he could do a more complete sketch (with color), he snapped at me saying that it wouldn't be necessary, and I should just trust him. He eventually agreed to do a more complete sketch, but seemed very put out and told me it would take a long time so I would have to wait in the office. After a couple minutes, I realized I was too uneasy to get worked on by someone who seemed so seemed irritated with me, so I went and apologetically told him I changed my mind and wanted to cancel. He blew up on me saying that I wasn't allowed to back out now, and I ended up having to run from the shop. Sorry this was so long, but it was an extremely uncomfortable situation, and I would advise others to beware. Read Less

This is hands down my favorite tattoo shop I've ever walked unto. I actually had no idea a shop could feel like a healing space until I walked into Lady Bond's Temple of Tattoo. What a sensation. The space is pristine, calming and visually delightful. The art is well chosen- Goddesses, Buddahs, Elephants and Masks. One immediatly feels more grounded upon entering the space. Only to Lady Bond's Temple of Tattoo and the second location, The Bond Tattoo Society. Comforting vibes walking in the door. Quality people with good attitudes doing the work, High end artistry. I have been going to her shops for since they have opened and have always been greeted with a smile and open mind to any ideas I have. We had a terrible experience with a male artist here, my wedding ring was so botched it looked like I drew sharpie on my finger.  I called and emailed for the owner over 4 times with ZERO response. I missed my apppintment (that took 3 months to get) only to find out the same guy was going to FIX my botched tattoo.  I got another appointment with someone else and the OWNER treated me horribly.   No body was concerned with a tattoo that was very important to me (now botched) and they refuse to fix it.  I've never been treated so poorly, especially by the owner.  Im VERY disappointed and will redirect anyone I know from this place of business, not only because of the lack of integrity but the quality of the work. I've been going to see Millz at temple for a couple of years now. I moved into town and was gun shy on finding a new artist and shop I could trust. She is a fantastic artist who can do many different styles. I have gotten high quality tattoos at temple in a super clean and sterile environment. I met Lady Bond when she was still in Portland, OR. So happy she is on the Vancouver side in her own serene location. The team of artist all do different things well and no matter who you form your relationship with, they will not disappoint. They also have beautiful jewerly for sale.  It is somewhere you want to be. Lady Bond is a true gem and absolute talent. I had admired the tattoo work on a friend/coworker, and she referred me to Lady Bond. What a perfect, spot-on referral for my first tattoo ever.
