I’ve gotten both piercings and tattoos here in the past 4 years. In the past Talon, the previous piercing artist, redid my septum piercing, he did a great job and was able to educate me a little more regarding the piercing which was amazing. I got both nostrils pierced by Gage and he did a magnificent job. He also fixed my daith piercing that was irritated and done at a different shop He’s extremely experienced and doesn’t make you feel silly for asking questions. The jewlery quality is also top notch and beautiful. Zach Thompson did my first large tattoo as well as finishing another tattoo for me. Zach took the time to talk to me and design my first large tattoo. His design for my tattoo has made me feel really confident and love myself more. Dani Liberal is an amazimg artist. I was introduced to Hopeless a few years ago after getting tattooed by Zak Anderson after i had been getting tattooed at other shops in vancouver and searching for a tattoo shop that fit all my needs from my Dad, Mike who gets his tattoos from Ken (who is also phenomenal!) here. I got a tattoo here by Zak. It was a walk in and all I had was that I wanted a banner with a quote I brought in. He drew me up something really quick and we decided color would be cool as I got up on the table. Turned out to be one of the coolest tattoos I have. Went in for a piercing. Septum, specifically. Gage (the person who did mine) was awesome. He had a fun personality and was very professional about the service. Helped me out through texting when my ball fell out. My sister also went and got hers done the next day. He also had crystals and tarot cards in his piercing area. I've had 2 pieces done with Kyle and 2 done with Kenny and each visit was great. Both guys are very friendly and great to talk to. My wife was supposed to get a piece done a while back but ended up being sick the day of and Kyle drew up a tattoo for me that day instead. Such a awesome thing to so on such short notice. I recently had a piercing done by Talon. It was such a wonderful experience. I was very nervous going in considering where I was having the piercing done. Talon totally put my mind at ease. He was kind and professional. I was surprised at how easy the whole process was. He talked me through every step so that I knew what to expect. The price of the piercing was also reasonable for Vancouver area shops and cheap compared so some Portland shops I called. All in all I can't imagine going anywhere else for my piercing needs. Went in to get my first tattoo in 10 years. A little skeptic and feeling brand new. However the shop had great reviews and all of their portfolios were amazing. Took in an idea for my watercolor tattoo and they hooked me up with Zach T as the go to guy. He scheduled me for that week and when I got in he had an amazing sketch ready to go. The shop was super clean and comfortable, all of the guys were super nice and welcoming, and Zach did just as great and even better than I expected because he is just that good :) I have no doubt when I figure out my next piece, I will be going back to Hopeless! Walked in a little after 6pm not expecting to get tattooed since they closed soon. Talked to Kyle Oxford about my idea and he suggested that we do this now since it's a really simple tattoo. Immediate excitement. Tells me to give him a half an hour to draw it up. He came up with an amazing drawing and I loved it. Tattoo itself took about 45 minutes to complete. Came out better than I had hoped. Clean and more color than I thought you could put into this particular piece. Kyle was professional, informative, and couldn't be any more pleasant. Zak is a great artist and very detailed. Seriously had very little pain and no bleeding. My tattoo looks sharp, crisp and is shaded very well. This is my second tattoo by Zak and I will br bad in a few months to get another piece. Very happy with the experience, the staff was patient as my freind and I looked up our design idea and customized them on the fly. I will even bring my daughter here to get her first tattoo. I have had nothing but an excellent experience at this shop. The tattoo shop was clean and actually had art and paintings on the walls. I have now gotten several tattoos here from multiple artists. Each one took time to draw me a design that wasn't just printed off google and then gave me a fair price. They have takin me in as a walk in and I have also made appointments. I First visited Hopeless when I was 19 years old. I was nervous and excited all in one. Zak Anderson helped me decide what i wanted and what would look good not only now but in a few years down the road. I appreciated how patient and kind the guys at the shop were and it was very clean and comfortable. After my tattoo they explained cleaning and gave me a great after care card! This shop is not only the most clean and family friendly shop but it has such amazing artists. These guys paint and draw when they aren't tattooing and are so good at what they do. I've gone to multiple artists and each one has been well priced, professional and easy to work with. I appreciate how comfortable they make me feel and how easy it was. I can't believe this place has bad reviews. I've been going there for years with nothing but great service and the best tattoos I've ever got. I get all my work from Drew. Drew is a little expensive but well worth it. I'd like to see the tattoo you are going to get done elsewhere for better and cheaper. Good luck with that. Great shop, great artists, and great tattoos. If you are kind of cheap or a pansy, of course you are going to be treated bad. If you have any intelligence at all, and can articulate a cool tattoo idea, well then this is the place to go.
