Went to go get a simple script tattoo on my bicep, Costed $250. I'm all about quality over price and for that you expect perfection for such a simple piece. Some letters on tattoo not fully shaded and when i ask him to fix it he seemed burdened by my request. I would not recommend going here for any sort of tattoo. I have more detailed pieces that cost the same if not less. Over priced sub par tattoo shop. Other than the many problems the piece it turned ok, 5/10. You can definitely find a cheaper artist with a better style than these scrubs. Very simple script tattoo and they cant even tattoo in side the stenciling. One more problem is the guy kept going outside for a smoke break, Mind you they charge by the hour. DO NOT GO HERE.!!! Read Less

Maxwell is such an excellent piercer! He pierced my nipples and they came out great! I went in during a sale, but in total i paid $79 for both piercings and after care+tax. He is precise, sterile and very helpful. He knows how to calm you down when you're nervous, and is easy to get along with. I HIGHLY recommend going here for piercings! 10/10 Read Less

As an artist it is always disappointing when profit becomes more important than art. My request was simple. A paintbrush concept celebrating my main talent. In retrospect I should have created my own sketch. I was presented a flat, two dimensional sketch of a generic brush and a quote of 200$. My boyfriend was quoted 300$+ for additional work to an existing work. Both my boyfriend and I sat and began collaborating my piece. Our first google search told it all- "paintbrush drawing" resulted in 100 of the very same brushes (not similar to my brushes at all) and even the paint splatter was the same. What was more disgusting was while we, two true artists, brainstormed details and attempted actual creativity, we were forced to endure a hovering bully of a salesman. My energy radiates love and sensitivity. I avoid confusion and confrontation at all cost. He purposely pressured me in every direction, interrupting our creative process even after my love explained we were not satisfied with the sketch. I understand wanting to set up his station but my body language alone was uncomfortable and uneasy. In the end we contacted a real artist who appreciates a unique experience and piece at half the cost with twice the talent. Be prepared to have an over priced Google print out on your body forever. It is clear that this gentleman is far more concerned with funding his honky biker gang than the art of tattooing or customer service. Read Less

Maxwell was the piercer that I set up my appointment with and not only was he really nice and straight forward on the phone, but he was very kind in person as well. Good personality and he talks with you while getting the piercing ready so that you aren't nervous. Or are at least less nervous. Everything was clean and sterile and reasonably priced. Got my first piece done by cam right when I got back from deployment in 2013, I got out of the army in 2014 and moved back home to Iowa. Brought my fieancee out to WA to look at a school in Seattle and while visiting Tacoma she mentioned on maybe getting a new piece of art added to her so! Warning Do not see Ben Euse! If you ever go their make sure you see Sailor Cam! Im giving it 2 stars because and only because of Cam.I came to you because I figured I would give you another chance. The work on my back you did is amateur at best. I have spoken to well over 40 people of all walks of life and other tat artists. Each and everyone has said YOU RIPPED ME OFF on this leg piece. $550 was an absolute rip off. I told you not to put color in it because its tribal but you said OH lets do blue and red. I decided to trust your opinion one last time. That was a mistake. I dont take kindly to being ripped off. That piece at best was $250. You only worked for 1 hr 25 minutes and thats with 2 breaks. No need to get back to me because all you will do is give me some &^^%%% excuse. Just know this, word of mouth goes a very long way around here. Especially when I am always around Military personal. I travel in big circles and I will never give your work a good review or that shop. Honestly, asking around people say you are not very good. Sailor Cam does quality work for the money, you do not. I've gotten three tattoos here and a number of piercings. Everybody is professional and friendly, so it's a comfortable environment. I get complements on my tattoos frequently done by Ben. They gave me  a crooked septum TWICE. He pierced it after immediately seeing it was awful the first time and it was still crooked. Then he told me there's no such thing as a perfect septum and I'm probably not symmetrical. I went home and it's diagonal horizontally and vertically. It was my first time piercing my nose and the guy who did it explained what he was going to do. He did a scale of how bad it will hurt. Made conversation with us. Plus side he said he will help put back Piercing if it came out, if anything happened with it. Downside is, there is a fee if you are going to pay with card which is $4. So I walked in to south Tacoma tattoo & body and was instantly greeted nicely by Leah. I told her my idea and she got very creative and made it so much better. So I had checked out the tattoo shops in the area and I found south tacoma tattoo and body piercing. I walked in and the place was beautiful and clean the staff was so kind and helpful too! I wanted a custom tattoo not just something off the wall and they were able to draw it up on the spot! Now I have a beautiful new tattoo from my new favorite tattoo shop! I've only worked with Sailor Cam personally but the other guys down there all seem professional and seem to do very good work.  Cam is great!  He will work with you before he ever starts inking to make sure you are getting what you want.  He also advises on shape, location, and makes color suggestions, all of this based on years of experience inking very fine pieces of work.  He will also help you extensively in you quest to design that "one of a kind" piece and put together a sketch for approval (at one point I had lost track of him and let me assure you, not all artists will do this).  I highly recommend both Sailor Cam and his business if you are looking for a new tattoo artist.  Thank you Cam! They have the best body piercing prices in town and carry only high quality jewelry. The tattoo artists do amazing work and can draw anything you want. It is totally worth the drive to Lakewood.
