My piercing done here was very quick and minimal on pain (only hurt because I had scarring already and expected that), piercing wise I like this place. Tattoo wise, not so much. That was one of the most excruciating tattoos I've ever had and I have my ribs, forearms and chest tattooed. They also claimed there was a "tattoo tax" in Washington. Which was shady since my friend and I thought everything was going well and I even mentioned working in a shop before. My husband had also been tattooed at tsunami the day before and there was no "tattoo tax". If you want to include gratuity, just say so. My friend and I were happy to tip, but that was kind of a slap in the face and super random that NO ONE mentioned it before & when I look it up, it doesn't exist. Not pumped about that. Definitely not getting anymore work done at this place if you're going to try and prey on people who are new to the area. But I'm sure I won't be the last y'all do this too!

Today I went here to get my doubles & 2 cartilage pierced and Yita did so amazing! She took the time to make sure the placement was just where I wanted it and made the piercing go by quick and it was over before I knew it and she helped make sure I was okay through the entire process. Would definitely go back and recommend them, ask for Yita when you get there! She's awesome.

The two girls in there were super nice, I learned that I have a deviated septum which I had no idea lol so she warned me in advance it may not come out straight so she wanted to make sure I still wanted to do it which was very nice of her, let's you know they actually care about their clients. Anyways I decided to go with it anyways and she actually did such a good job it doesn't look crooked at all. It was super fast and not as bad as I thought it was going to be lol just a quick pinch. So happy with it

I didn't get a piercing done here but I did buy some jewelry for a piercing I already had. I wanted gold the metal, not gold the color, and I said so clearly. Turns out it was just gold-plated. After a month or so the color had rubbed off and my piercing was infected. Had to pay even more at another place to get the crap metal removed--blood and agony--and now I'm going through the healing process all over again. So the service was good, they were prompt and friendly, but the jewelry was cheap.

I was told, upon telling the lady that I was there for a piercing, that she already had one body in the chair and that she wasn't going to do anymore because 'she had so much other stuff to do'.
What did I expect from a piercing shop in the mall? I dunno... I was hoping that the stereo type wasn't going to come into play, but alas... the person who sent me away? That was the store manager. The Manager told me to take my money elsewhere because she had other things she wanted to do. How does one run a business like this? I dunno, but if they aren't there in a year, you might be able to conclude as to why.

About ten-twenty minutes later a girl came up and asked about what tattoo idea and told us absolutely not to the size she was thinking and then "absolutely not" for doing it for the shop minimum. she then quoted us at "at least $180" thats completely ridiculous and i think they were trying to take advantage of my girlfriend because she doesn't have any other tattoos. we then went to a different tattoo parlor and got it for a shop minimum in the size she wanted and the new shop laughed about the 180 dollar price we were told.Long story short definitely avoid this place unless you want a completely over priced tattoo by some egotistical people.

I called in Thursday to ask about prices and the staff was very helpful on the phone. I went in around 2 o'clock ands I filled out the paperwork to get my nose pierced. While filling out paperwork Brie was working on piercing a little girl's ears, and was very patient and reassuring. When it came to my turn, she was straight up about the pain level I would experience and very quick with piercing my nose. I am overall please with how my nose piercing came out and will continue to go to Brie for other piercings.

Maybe because I've had pros stretch it, but this was definitely the least comfortable and most "drawn out" gauging I've experienced. I probably won't be returning or recommending. WOW! I haven't been pierced in years and had my holes close up. I decided for my birthday to get repierced, my nose and a double helix. Kelly was my piercer, who as other reviewers have said, was very kind and pretty easy on the eyes :) Pain was extremely minimal and it was done so fast and Kelly has a wonderful bedside manner if you are nervous. I wanted to get more as it was so fast and easy, I was even able to sleep pretty comfortably on the ear piercings and though my pain tolerance is pretty good needles are a whole separate pain for me, I think that is owed to Kelly's expertise that I feel fine a whole 24 hours later and immediately after. I didn't get the other guy's name but he was great as well in helping me, they felt like old friends and I really appreciated the great service. Thanks guys!

This was the best price my friends and I have found for piercings. Hands down the best customer service. There were four of in total coming in to get various parts of our ears pierced, all done with the needle quickly and we should've gotten out of their hair quickly but one of friend's ear was excessively bleeding so the ladies who pierced us graciously helped her calm down the bleeding. It so happened that I then started feeling really light headed and FAINTED in the middle of the store but thankfully my friends and one of the piercer caught me. They say me down, fanned me to cool off, and gave me apple juice until I recovered. I'm very thankful for their hospitality and how well they treat their customers. 10/10 recommend to everyone

Kelly was wonderful, it was a fast process, but he talked me through the whole thing, and even though he was somewhat busy, I didn't feel like an assembly line. He was very sweet and I felt really well taken care of. The place was clean, organized and sanitary. My nose piercing cost $46, and they used a medical grade steal piercing. I wanted a ring, but they told me they don't pierce with rings initially to prevent infection, because they are more difficult to care for, I appreciated that, because I wouldn't have known otherwise. I would recommend this place!!

Apparently this company doesn't do piercings after 8 pm anymore, which if I've ALWAYS done in the past months. We all know this company, 90% of the time between 8-9 pm, there are NO customers. How dare I come after work, at 8:15 pm, to get another piercing. Never again, and I'll be telling people to avoid this shop, will I step in here again. Have a good night just standing there for the rest of the night

Was pierced by Kelly and the experience and customer service was phenomenal, especially for the price. I already have a few but had been putting off another after moving to WA from CA because new place + anxiety. Never have I had the pleasure of such an absolutely sweet and calming body artist--because yes, his work is art. The piercing (nostril) was just so well done that, despite sensitive skin and that I usually mark and bleed easily, my latest was presentation perfect and I was up for going to lunch immediately after. He was knowledgeable and helpful, and a different guy (didn't catch his name) swapped my old lip ring with a seamless for me. I will be going back next month, I will be bringing a first timer at some point, and I HIGHLY recommend Self Expressions for first timers or anyone that loves their body art but is struggles with social anxiety.

Got my daith piercing today. Brie was very gentle, and she explained every step of the process. The shop is very clean, and professionally run.I have to be honest, I was a little nervous before going in, because when I think of going to the mall for a piercing, I think of the teeny bopper stores that use the guns to pierce- not the case here! I plan on getting a daith piercing in my other ear in about a week, and I will make sure that Brie is there when I go back, because she is highly skilled, and I was very impressed with her professionalism, as well as the end result.

I am very pleased!Update: got another piercing by Brie and I am even more impressed! She remembered me from the first time I came in. Which is a pretty good memory for all the ppl she sees in a day! I was iffy if I wanted a certain piercing so she did a little sparkle sticker to see if I liked it. I did, so I came back the next day to get it! She pierced it absolutely perfectly. I got a medusa (upper lip) which can easily be messed up, be crooked or catch on my teeth while I eat. I have to say it is PERFECT! No catching at all and being mouth piercing it healed in just a few days with no issues. I it! Thanks Brie! I CANNOT RECOMMEND HER HIGHLY ENOUGH!!! She is an amazing piercer!

Also when my wife started to lose color they noticed right away. They were right on it to help her get into the right posture to help her and also get her some apple juice. Good job on them. Kelly was extremely professional, told us why we shouldn't use certain cleaning chemicals over others and what to use. Bottom line, i would recommend these guys to anyone in the area. Price, knowledge, and professionalism are the things i would say these guys are. Side note: ATM charge fee - $1.00

Go with the male piercer, not the female she likes to pierce things crooked and not place them properly. And don't expect your jewelry you get from there to last you very long. Better off spending a bit more money for quality jewelry that won't strip out in a week.Update.. turns out my nipple was pierced incorrectly and I had to take it out. So probably just don't go there.

I got my nose pierced here and that went fine! My issue is with the jewelry I've bought from here. This was the first place I've seen that have carried septum clickers - and they're relatively cheap. My first piece was lovely but lasted only about a month before it started to tarnish - which is strange because I cleaned it very often and I thought I'd bought surgical steel? In any case, I went and bought a similar piece and for the life of me, I can't get it to open correctly. There are no returns on body jewelry, which is reasonable, but that's $15 wasted... Quality control would be a nice idea for this store, I think.

This place rocked! I cam in looking for new nose jewelry and came away with 3 new pieces. The staff is knowledgeable and on hand for all your piercing needs. They have a large selection of body jewelry and will help you to choose what is best for you! I was referred here by another shop who didn't have what I needed. They were spot on in the recommendation! I will be getting more of my jewelry here in the future! No pressure, no up selling and the only thing I had hoped for was to get a hoop.,,but they were all out! Maybe next time? I will be back!

She took the time to make sure the placement was just where I wanted it and made the piercing go by quick and it was over before I knew it and she helped make sure I was okay through the entire process. Would definitely go back and recommend them, ask for Yita when you get there! She's awesome.

The two girls in there were super nice, I learned that I have a deviated septum which I had no idea lol so she warned me in advance it may not come out straight so she wanted to make sure I still wanted to do it which was very nice of her, let's you know they actually care about their clients. Anyways I decided to go with it anyways and she actually did such a good job it doesn't look crooked at all. It was super fast and not as bad as I thought it was going to be lol just a quick pinch. I didn't get a piercing done here but I did buy some jewelry for a piercing I already had. I wanted gold the metal, not gold the color, and I said so clearly. Turns out it was just gold-plated. After a month or so the color had rubbed off and my piercing was infected. Had to pay even more at another place to get the crap metal removed--blood and agony--and now I'm going through the healing process all over again. So the service was good, they were prompt and friendly, but the jewelry was cheap.

What did I expect from a piercing shop in the mall? I dunno... I was hoping that the stereo type wasn't going to come into play, but alas... the person who sent me away? That was the store manager. The Manager told me to take my money elsewhere because she had other things she wanted to do. How does one run a business like this? I dunno, but if they aren't there in a year, you might be able to conclude as to why.

About ten-twenty minutes later a girl came up and asked about what tattoo idea and told us absolutely not to the size she was thinking and then "absolutely not" for doing it for the shop minimum. she then quoted us at "at least $180" thats completely ridiculous and i think they were trying to take advantage of my girlfriend because she doesn't have any other tattoos. we then went to a different tattoo parlor and got it for a shop minimum in the size she wanted and the new shop laughed about the 180 dollar price we were told.Long story short definitely avoid this place unless you want a completely over priced tattoo by some egotistical people.

While filling out paperwork Brie was working on piercing a little girl's ears, and was very patient and reassuring. When it came to my turn, she was straight up about the pain level I would experience and very quick with piercing my nose. I am overall please with how my nose piercing came out and will continue to go to Brie for other piercings.

WOW! I haven't been pierced in years and had my holes close up. I decided for my birthday to get repierced, my nose and a double helix. Kelly was my piercer, who as other reviewers have said, was very kind and pretty easy on the eyes :) Pain was extremely minimal and it was done so fast and Kelly has a wonderful bedside manner if you are nervous. I wanted to get more as it was so fast and easy, I was even able to sleep pretty comfortably on the ear piercings and though my pain tolerance is pretty good needles are a whole separate pain for me, I think that is owed to Kelly's expertise that I feel fine a whole 24 hours later and immediately after. I didn't get the other guy's name but he was great as well in helping me, they felt like old friends and I really appreciated the great service. Thanks guys!

This was the best price my friends and I have found for piercings. Hands down the best customer service. There were four of in total coming in to get various parts of our ears pierced, all done with the needle quickly and we should've gotten out of their hair quickly but one of friend's ear was excessively bleeding so the ladies who pierced us graciously helped her calm down the bleeding. It so happened that I then started feeling really light headed and FAINTED in the middle of the store but thankfully my friends and one of the piercer caught me. They say me down, fanned me to cool off, and gave me apple juice until I recovered. I'm very thankful for their hospitality and how well they treat their customers. 10/10 recommend to everyone

He was very sweet and I felt really well taken care of. The place was clean, organized and sanitary. My nose piercing cost $46, and they used a medical grade steal piercing. I wanted a ring, but they told me they don't pierce with rings initially to prevent infection, because they are more difficult to care for, I appreciated that, because I wouldn't have known otherwise. I would recommend this place!!

Apparently this company doesn't do piercings after 8 pm anymore, which if I've ALWAYS done in the past months. We all know this company, 90% of the time between 8-9 pm, there are NO customers. How dare I come after work, at 8:15 pm, to get another piercing. Never again, and I'll be telling people to avoid this shop, will I step in here again. Was pierced by Kelly and the experience and customer service was phenomenal, especially for the price. I already have a few but had been putting off another after moving to WA from CA because new place + anxiety. Never have I had the pleasure of such an absolutely sweet and calming body artist--because yes, his work is art. The piercing (nostril) was just so well done that, despite sensitive skin and that I usually mark and bleed easily, my latest was presentation perfect and I was up for going to lunch immediately after. He was knowledgeable and helpful, and a different guy (didn't catch his name) swapped my old lip ring with a seamless for me. I will be going back next month, I will be bringing a first timer at some point, and I HIGHLY recommend Self Expressions for first timers or anyone that loves their body art but is struggles with social anxiety.

Got my daith piercing today. Brie was very gentle, and she explained every step of the process. The shop is very clean, and professionally run.I have to be honest, I was a little nervous before going in, because when I think of going to the mall for a piercing, I think of the teeny bopper stores that use the guns to pierce- not the case here! I plan on getting a daith piercing in my other ear in about a week, and I will make sure that Brie is there when I go back, because she is highly skilled, and I was very impressed with her professionalism, as well as the end result.

I am very pleased!Update: got another piercing by Brie and I am even more impressed! She remembered me from the first time I came in. Which is a pretty good memory for all the ppl she sees in a day! I was iffy if I wanted a certain piercing so she did a little sparkle sticker to see if I liked it. I did, so I came back the next day to get it! She pierced it absolutely perfectly. I got a medusa (upper lip) which can easily be messed up, be crooked or catch on my teeth while I eat. I have to say it is PERFECT! No catching at all and being mouth piercing it healed in just a few days with no issues. I it! Thanks Brie! I CANNOT RECOMMEND HER HIGHLY ENOUGH!!! She is an amazing piercer!

Also when my wife started to lose color they noticed right away. They were right on it to help her get into the right posture to help her and also get her some apple juice. Good job on them. Kelly was extremely professional, told us why we shouldn't use certain cleaning chemicals over others and what to use. Bottom line, i would recommend these guys to anyone in the area. Price, knowledge, and professionalism are the things i would say these guys are. Side note: ATM charge fee - $1.00

I got my nose pierced here and that went fine! My issue is with the jewelry I've bought from here. This was the first place I've seen that have carried septum clickers - and they're relatively cheap. My first piece was lovely but lasted only about a month before it started to tarnish - which is strange because I cleaned it very often and I thought I'd bought surgical steel? In any case, I went and bought a similar piece and for the life of me, I can't get it to open correctly. There are no returns on body jewelry, which is reasonable, but that's $15 wasted... Quality control would be a nice idea for this store, I think.

They have a large selection of body jewelry and will help you to choose what is best for you! I was referred here by another shop who didn't have what I needed. They were spot on in the recommendation! I will be getting more of my jewelry here in the future! No pressure, no up selling and the only thing I had hoped for was to get a hoop.,,but they were all out! Maybe next time? I will be back!
