If I could give them zero stars I would. I have never dealt with such unprofessional tattoo artists in my 25 years of getting tattoo's. I had the unfortunate luck of getting Jeff as my supposed tattooist. I asked for a simple cover up and he made it a thousand times worse, I am now paying to have laser removal of his supposed cover up. I went back and asked him to fix it and he was a total asshole. He was nothing but rude and tried to insult me for asking to have his fuck up fixed. I will never step foot back into this shitty shop. Jeff is totally unprofessional, I never saw him sterilize any of his equipment and there was one of his friends in there waiting to share pills with him. Jeff is a horrible artist, he also is incredibly rude and totally disrespectful to his clients. Came in today for a first time ear piercing and they were super cool about doing a walk in. I called ahead like 30min before just about questions but Larry walked me through and answered everything I was thinking about. The experience was super laid back and cool. Larry is a really cool guy and he clearly knows what he's doing. Piercings done with a needle and not a gun. It's $40 for a piercing on both ears before tip. We drove a good couple hours so the wife get some ink done by Ryan Chapman. I highly recommend Ryan, his work is top notch, a true artist with the keen eye for shadows and highlights. Went back to see Jeff with my best friend for some custom ink and he absolutely nailed it! Sent ideas to him Thursday night and he made himself available on his day off to get it down and done. Fun to have conversations with and he makes experience as a whole a lot less stressful (Because tattoos hurt and anticipation kills). My friend got her first tattoo ever and I got my fifth, both of same thing on right shoulders. Once needle hits the skin he is moves swiftly, efficiently, and seemingly effortlessly. Got each done within an hour (seperately) and the artwork looks above and beyond what we even originally came up with. I've been going to see Jeff at Garland since he first came to Spokane. His work is impeccable, he always delivers. I have gotten to the point where I no longer come in with anything other than a vague idea of what I want and I let him take complete control. His artistic abilities and creative mind are what keep me coming back for more. I now have a near full sleeve of just his work and I continue to get compliments on each and every piece he has completed on me. Don't let any bad review steer you away from his work, as he is a trusted tattoo artist and is well established not only in the pacific northwest but in Venice Beach, CA. People usually only take time to sit down and write a review if they have a negative experience but 99% of the time it is because they are not properly caring for their tattoo as instructed by their artist. Jeff is always clear and concise on explaining how you should care for your tattoo after leaving the shop. Be Smart. Follow his direction. And your tattoo will be just as beautiful as the day you got it. So long as I live in Spokane, I will never recommend anyone besides the supremely awesome "Lazer Larry" at Garland Tattoo and Piercing for body modification work. Larry has done several piercings on me, and yesterday, he added a sweet little dermal anchor on my orbital bone that I simply adore. He also pierced the third place in my earlobes, and a day later, I am 100% pain free in that spot.Larry has a cheerful demeanor and easy personality, which can be soothing for those who are nervous about getting work done. He also only uses the finest quality jewelry available, and gives amazing aftercare instructions. He is extremely knowledgable in his craft.Next month, I'll be going in to get a brand from him.
