I followed my artist Bryan here, of course because he's amazing I would have followed him anywhere! But this shop is sooo amazing! Everyone there is so nice, each artist has a bit different style that they are partial to so I'm always intrigued by what they are tattooing on someone else. It's very very clean, I took my grandma with me one time and she said it smelled like a doctors office! So that's a pretty great sign when your tattoo parlor is as sterile as drs office! I am absolutely thrilled I found Bryan Kachel at Rabid Hands. I was very impressed when I first stepped into the shop it was well organized and very clean compared to other tattoo shops I've been to. Bryan is beyond amazing in all categories from his personality, attention to detail, understanding of how I envisioned the desirable piece to look on my skin, his creative thought process and suggestions, his timing and pricing, and the beautiful outcome of the tattoo. I was originally going to get a tattoo at another shop but that one ended up being closed so I called another one and they referred me here and they were able to fit me in that same day which I really appreciated! The staff there is really nice and funny which makes a first timer or anybody more comfortable. I had Josh and he is a really nice guy, made small talk so I was more comfortable and he did my tattoo better than I thought it would look! I'm so glad I found Rabid Hands Tattoo! I have been looking on yelp for a new artist that does great overall work, and especially in Japanese style. After going through several portfolios on different websites, I discovered Bryan's and emailed him to make an appointment. I was able to get two appointments in, but 6 months far ahead. It was worth the wait though! He helped to finish my sleeve that wasn't done very well, and I am definitely going to make another appointment in the future for my next tattoo. He is very friendly, accommodating, professional, and skilled at his craft. I have been in when there were two other artists (the two women) and they friendly as well. When I have a good experience with a business, I always intend to sign up for Yelp and write a review, but I've never actually done it. Not the case here - I actually HAD to sign up so I could give a glowing review of my experience with Sara. I hunted far and wide for a (legit) artist who would tattoo me, but had major trouble because it was my first tattoo and I wanted it on my finger. Eventually a friend (who's tattoos I love) recommended Sara and I gave her a call. Right off the bat, she was very friendly and extremely real about what I could expect with a tattoo on my hand. I went ahead and scheduled an appointment, despite being well informed on the possibility that the tattoo might fall out due to the nature of the placement. I've been to tattoo shops with friends or when I've gotten piercings and in the past, those places have been somewhat intimidating. Rabid Hands wasn't like that at all. I didn't encounter many other staff members, but the few I did were very kind (and the shop is immaculate). Anyways, Sara went over everything again and, without even having to ask, told me what I could expect pain wise. Once all was said and done, she ended up giving me a badass tattoo! I've gone in for one retouch and we were both surprised at how well it stayed put! She really only had to touch up less than 1/3rd of the lettering because it held up so well, despite the odds. That is a serious testament to how awesome she is at what she does. I'm so pleased with this tattoo; it really exceeded all my expectations. Professional, warm, and clean. My husband went to Rabid Hands for a sleeve. He went in to see Bryan. Bryan did excellent work for him, so I decided I would get my next tattoo from him as well. I have had major anxiety in the past getting tattoos and/or piercings. I was very nervous going to a new artist. I will say that Bryan is very light handed in tattooing and he really made me feel comfortable and at ease. Bryan took on my biggest tattoo and honestly made it so easy. The last tattoo I had, I told my husband "I can safely say this will probably be the last tattoo I ever get."I have such love for ink, it was hard for me to stick to my word. My mom and I made appointments with Bryan about 3 months in advance (because that's how long he is booked!)I gave Bryan an idea of what I wanted a week before. He had sent me a drawing before my tattoo and I loved it. There were a few tweaks I wanted to make, and he said no problem. The day of the tattoo, I went in and Bryan had re drawn what I wanted. When he put the stencil on me I felt like it was too big, and without hesitation or attitude he went and shrunk it down. By far he is the BEST tattoo artist I have ever dealt with! He was so patient with me and made sure I got what I wanted. I will say, although this was the BIGGEST tattoo I have ever gotten... it was the easiest. It took an hour and turned out BEAUTIFULLY!!! If I could give this place 100 stars, I would! The tattoo scene in Seattle is huge and there are SO MANY shops and artists to choose from! Not only do you want quality art work but you also want quality atmosphere and an artist that CARES and LISTENS to the permanent image they will be applying to your skin. Right when you walk in the door at Rabid Hand you can see how clean and professional it is. It isn't overly decorated. Clean walls with tasteful art that expresses each artist. I love the way the stations are set. They each have their own work space so it isn't cramped. Some places have open floor lay out and you end up being tattooed, half naked, with an audience. Always important to find an artist that meets all your needs. Each artist in this shop has their own unique style and seem very professional. Not to mention.. friendly.. WHOA. Not to stereotype but there seems to be a lot of arrogant tattooers out there. I have been tattooed by Krysten Dae  at Under the needle and then at Apocalypse. She is friendly and there is never an eye roll when expressing your vision. She is a TRUE artist that takes time to draw up beautiful, custom pieces. Talent. check.Friendly. check.RAD AS F@*% CHECK!She is good enough to be booked out for months so if you are looking to book with her, I suggest making a consultation appointment in advance. The other artists there are worthy of all the praise as well. Sara Purr is also worth checking out! She has a classic style and she ROCKS IT! Last time I was in she was drawing up a lady with a fox head/hat. Lets just say.. Jerad is THE best. He's super friendly, makes you feel comfortable, but is also very professional. I've gotten three tattoos from him in the past several years, and I've been more than willing to follow him where ever he goes. Now I'm moving out of the state and will have to come back to Seattle to get work done! I don't trust any one else with my skin! I used to carry his business cards until I ran out because people were always asking me where I got my tattoos. He finally has his own place and he has totally earned it. I've been following Jerad from shop to shop for about  5 years now. He is a truely talented artist. Congrats on getting your own studio!Jerad has done 7 different tattooes for me, ranging from flowers to skulls to line work to lettering. I actually get stopped on the street and asked who has done my tattoo work. I've even had other tattoo artists ask the same question!He is also great at giving you feedback about the design you have in mind. He can tell you what will/won't work and give you good reason as to why. I feel that other tattoo artists I've had just say yes to any design and down the road they now look blurry and a bit like crap :(  Jerad wants to make sure this is something that will last you many many years.he's also a blast to talk to. No one likes to feel the pain of a tattoo needle for long periods of time so you gotta have something to chit chat about while you're sitting/laying there.
