There are many reasons I can of think of to recommend Owen for your tattoo. First, is the quality of his work. Chatting with him while he was working on me, I believe he said he'd been doing this for about twenty-seven years. That's a long time, and it shows. His artwork is often a combination of straight lines, tapering spirals, and curves. His line work is precise, delicate, and smooth. The color is even.Second is his style of art is unique. If you're looking for someone who does old-style tattooing, or Japanese, or any other number of styles then Owen is not the person for you. He only works in his own unique style. It is a style that is so unique, that I can recognize his artwork on strangers on the street. My wife, who also is a recipient of Owens craftwork, works at the airport as a TSA agent. She has patted down people with Owens' tattoos, and recognizing them, has asked the passengers if he had done them. They confirmed that they were indeed Owen's artwork. So you can consider yourself to be part of a special club.Third, though he works only in his own style, he is very flexible and open to working with your ideas within that framework. I went to him because I thought his style could encompass my idea, which was tattooing a sprinkler head that I had made into an imaginary friend in my childhood. (Yes, I had a strange and lonely childhood). Owen was able to take an inanimate object, that I had imbued with a personality and backstory, a story that only existed in my head and in my imagination, and reflect that in the artwork he designed. He managed to capture the personality and energy of my imaginary friend. This truly is, in my opinion, an astonishing accomplishment and a testament to his skill.Fourth, he's a nice person.I can highly recommend Owen and I plan on returning to get more work. Read Less

I've been waiting and trying to figure out what I wanted for my sleeve. In Seattle it's overwhelming how many tattoo artists there actually are and with all the browsing I've done on the Internet I wasn't finding any artists that really popped out at me. I discovered Owen's art here on Yelp and it instantly jumped out at me!I met with Owen within the next week and already I'd had a better experience with him in my consult than any other artist in any of my other tattoo appointments! I've only finished my forearm so far but am so pleased about his creative take on everything I've wanted and the "filler" items as well! I can't wait to finish the rest of it! I just recently flew out to Seattle with my sister to get some of Owen's work on both of us. My sister decided it was time for her first and after milling it over she only wanted Owen to do the work especially with how well my tattoo has lasted.  I got my first tattoo from Owen 6 -7 years ago and I am still constantly stopped on the streets and asked if I just got the tattoo and where did I get it. The experience at Parlor F is always very supportive and fun. Owen is a pleasure to work with and truly believes in the integrity of his work.
