Several months ago, I got a tattoo from Tara. And I loved the way it turned out. Her line work and stippling are great. However, her customer service and communication are severely lacking.When I contacted her, she was excited to do my tattoo. I told her what I wanted and sent several pictures of my ideas. I emailed her 3 times before my appointment to see her designed. I never received one. She told me I would get one the night before, never did. Plus, what if I wanted something changed to the whole design? I was travelling almost 100 miles one way to see her and get a tattoo. I get there kind of early in case of Seattle traffic. She texts me like 15 min before my appointment to say she's going to be over an hour late. Okay. I roll with it and find a cafe to have a coffee in. The tattoo experience was good. The tattoo ended up beautiful but bigger than I had wanted. 6 weeks later, the tattoo healed and it needed a touch up. There were splotchy areas. I contacted Tara and we made an appt for later that week. I told her where I'm traveling from. Day of the appt, I am making the 100 mile trek, and I happened to look at my phone to see how much longer I was predicted to take to get to her shop. She texted me, not called me, to cancel because she was sick. I expressed my disappointment and how I wished she had told me sooner because I was 20 miles away. She didn't reply or apologize. I told her I would be in Seattle again the following week on such and such date, and to let me know if she's open to do it then. No response. I tried again. No response.Ended up having to pay a different tattoo artist to touch it up, and they were very reluctant to do it because of not wanting to touch someone else's work. Turned out beautiful.Tara is a great artist but very very poor with customer service. It is more of a hassle to get a piece done from her than it is worth. She seems to only care about the art and not the people she's doing it for; which is a shame.

Tara's attitude and lack of professionalism shines like no other. She doesn't return phone calls or emails, and when you finally get a hold of her, she gives you an attitude. Her hourly rate is not worth the quality of work she is capable of doing, which in my opinion isn't all that great. Just remember, what you see online is her best work??? Interpret that however you wish.

My tattoo itself ended up decent. It was a piece that required some straight line work and close but not exact colors. However when you have an artist who charges upwards of 200/hr you expect a pretty immaculate result, and that's not what I would call what I ended up with. I attempted to contact Tara expressing my disappointment and to see about a partial refund so I could have someone else touch it up and and after 2 unreturned emails I have given up.That being said, if you find she does a style that fits with what you want and you're willing to fork over the price for a premium artist, she may still be the right option for you.

I saw Tara's work on Instagram and thought it was beautiful so I scheduled an appointment with her online and paid a deposit. I sent her a few emails before the appointment to send some ideas of what I was looking for and I never received a response (after her initial email saying she would love to do my tattoo). The night before my 8am appointment, she unexpectedly texted to cancel, which was the first I had heard from her in 3+ weeks since I originally scheduled. She offered a time to reschedule which didn't work for me, and then stopped responding to texts when I tried to find an alternate time. I then asked for my deposit back because clearly she wasn't interested in actually completing the work, and there is no way she could have created custom work for me after refusing to communicate. I've texted, called, and left a voicemail on her cell and nothing back. I was really excited about this piece but her unprofessionalism is a huge turn off. If you're considering her service, be wary that she may take your deposit and never follow through. Would not recommend.

This is long overdue but I had an amazing experience at Osprey with Randi. All of the ladies were so nice and kept telling me how good I was doing and reminding me to breathe (it was my first tattoo on my 18th birthday). Randi was so kind and redid my stencil a few times and made sure I was comfortable telling her what I wanted. She also wasn't a stickler for the time (which I really appreciated since my rib tattoo required me to hold my breath and take several breaks to breathe). Her linework was flawless, and her judgement on thickness is perfect. I will definitely be trusting her with future pieces.

Just finished up a tattoo with Tara and can honestly say I am so happy with every aspect of my tattoo. The line work is immaculate, the design is flawless, and most importantly the customer service is amazing. I'm really picky when it comes to every aspect of a tattoo and Tara was extremely patient working with me on a design - and did so with a smile on her face. She didn't make me feel rushed into forcing a tattoo I wasn't 100% sold on. I would recommend Tara and Osprey tattoo to anyone, she is a master of her craft.

Just had my appointment with Lydia and I could not be happier. She was very communicative throughout the entire process, and understood exactly what I was looking for in my tattoo. The line work is fantastic, and worked very well next to my previous tattoo. She is a God among artists, and I would recommend her to anyone.

My mother sister and I all wanted to get a small matching tattoo to commemorate the life of my grandmother who passed away a while back. Being a freshman in college, I still struggle to plan ahead so I had three weeks to design and get this tattoo before going back to college. I found Tara online and I thought she would be perfect! I first emailed her, but after a few days there was no response. I then went to the shop to talk to her in person on January 5th. The only time she could do the tattoo was on January 11th, she put me down as a maybe as I had to check with my moms work schedule. I sent a confirmation email that we could do it that same night. When we show up to get the tattoo on the 11th, Tara was a no show! (We then went to Laughing Buddha on Broadway and they did a great job.) I guess you could call it a miscommunication? When my family went to Osprey Tattoo to get our tattoo done and Tara was not there, one of the shops employees texted Tara with my contact information so that we could get in touch. There is nothing wrong with not checking emails regularly, but the part that deserves a 2/5 stars is that even two days later, she has still not sent me one text! I'm sure that you can get a quality tattoo at Osprey Tattoo, but I will never know because I went to a tattoo parlor that takes their customers seriously.

I just finished up with Tara. I got a bouquet of 3 flowers with some lavender and a pussy willow branch. Took 1.5 hours start to finish, all done with a single needle. Tara is very sweet, very accommodating (she was happy to make changes to placement, add details, modify the design a bit), and was a pleasure to work with. The shop is small, but comfortable, and the other two artists (Randi and Lydia) were super nice and funny. It was me and two friends in town getting tattoos together, and it was easy to make our appointments online (a couple months in advance), and communication was good. We all received proofs before our appointment, and went in with a good idea of what we were getting, but also the ability to request additional details. Overall, a 5 star experience. I'd come back again and I'd definitely recommend to a friend.

I got my very first tattoo today from Tara. I did plenty of research on who to go to, mostly consisting of scouring the Internet for examples of their work. I wanted some fine-line work done and the tattoo I wanted was fairly small. I'm so glad I stumbled upon Osprey Tattoo and got a hold of Tara. I believe she came in earlier than usual for me, which was very much appreciated. We walked in and from right from the start I felt comfortable with her. She's relaxed and easy to talk to. She drew up what I wanted, and next thing you know we're putting the stencil on my arm. I particularly enjoyed her patience as I made her put the stencil on and off several times until I thought it was just right. At no point did she seem bothered or annoyed by it. Maybe that's just normal for the tattoo process but as a new comer, I certainly took note of it and it's one of the reasons I'll be back (and probably soon).If you're looking for a great, personable, and talented artist you should definitely reach out to Tara. While this time around I specifically knew what I wanted, I think next time I'll let her create something for me. The work I've seen so far is amazing.She was also really easy to communicate with via email. I very much appreciated that, particularly because of my busy schedule.I was fortunate enough to find a fantastic artist on my first go.

I got a custom tattoo from Tara about a year ago. The tattoo itself is pretty cool. She does very beautiful fine line black and white work. Having said that, I wanted a sleeve designed, not just a big tattoo. I have since realized that other shops tend to do it by designing the whole sleeve, tattooing the outline, and then filling it in over several appointments. Instead of doing that, I had to sort of wait around while she made the drawing fit my arm. She was dancing around and joking with a co-worker, and I was paying for that time. And then, when part of the tattoo looked... not at all like I wanted it to look, she did fix it right away, but the end result really isn't what I wanted and doesn't look like the original design.So if you want like one, really nice detailed black and white tattoo from her, I'd say go ahead. But if you need her to design you a sleeve, or if you mind paying for set up time and dancing around chatting time, I wouldn't go with Tara.

Tara tattooed me for my very first tattoo. She was awesome. We started with just meeting and talking. I met with several other tattoo artists to be sure that I got the best artist out there. After meeting with several other people I decided Tara was the one for me. She was very helpful and educated me about the tattooing process. She didn't treat me like an idiot because I didn't know anything, just explained things and gave me some helpful advice for my first tattoo.After a couple weeks (and TONS of back and forth emails) it was finally the day to get my tattoo. We finalized the design and made sure it was just what I wanted then we stared to tattoo. She was really easy going and played the music I liked :)It was fun to see the dog that was in there (although he did make the shop smell like fart for a little bit - only joking, he was great!). I have 2 doggies of my own so it was cool there was one there for a little.My tattoo took about 3 hours and looks awesome.It's been a little over 2 weeks since I got my tattoo and it is healing great! She also offers 1 free touch up, up to 6 months after your tattoo. I thought that was really great because you never know what might happen during the healing process (which I was totally new to).I for sure plan to go in for my touch up (even if it is just to get some feedback from Tara). I am also planning the next tattoo I want from Tara. Eventually I will get a half-sleeve but I'm just staring it now.Tara is a great artist and her prices are very competitive. I was willing to pay the big bucks for an amazing tattoo - after all, I've waited 25 years to get it so I wanted it to be perfect!Thanks Tara for the awesome tattoo experience and I will be coming back. I am recommending her to all my friends who want tattoos.

Eeek!! Had such an amazing experience here. Tara is sweet and everyone she worked with made me feel super comfortable. Sometimes you walk into tattoo shops and feel judged or looked down on. Especially in Seattle I notice a holier-than-thou attitude. Maybe I'm super sensitive, I dunno, but either way, I didn't feel that here. She's professional, easy to chat with, and easy to be quiet around...which are all things I find super important in an artist. Most important, I love my tattoo. It's beautiful I had a really hard time explaining what I wanted, we spoke through emails for awhile...and she was ridiculously patient and kind when I had a hard time explaining what I wanted. I'll be coming back for more soon!

I found Tara online after reading reviews and checking out her incredible profile, and she is hands down my favorite tattoo artist ever. The tattoo she designed has given me so much happiness. I would and have recommended her to anyone seeking a skilled and thoughtful artist to work with. I had a crappy tattoo I got when I was 18 that I wanted to get covered up but I had a pretty abstract idea and no concept of what a cover up entailed. I wasn't sure what to expect and was really relying on her artistry. Tara was honest, sincere, and communicative throughout the process, and I love the custom artwork she shared with me. I'm so happy with my tattoo, and I feel like she had really creative solutions to the cover up. The design is gorgeous.I want to thank her so much for giving me a beautiful tattoo and keeping me laughing the entire time. The shop - Alleged Tattoo - feels warm and everyone I met was friendly and full of good humor. Tara was also meticulous with safety precautions and great about checking in throughout the session. And played Michael Jackson. I could go on forever. I am extremely lucky and pleased to have met Tara, let alone get an awesomely unique tattoo from her. Thank you!

Just finished up a tattoo with Tara and can honestly say I am so happy with every aspect of my tattoo. The line work is immaculate, the design is flawless, and most importantly the customer service is amazing. I'm really picky when it comes to every aspect of a tattoo and Tara was extremely patient working with me on a design - and did so with a smile on her face. She didn't make me feel rushed into forcing a tattoo I wasn't 100% sold on. I would recommend Tara and Osprey tattoo to anyone, she is a master of her craft.

Just had my appointment with Lydia and I could not be happier. She was very communicative throughout the entire process, and understood exactly what I was looking for in my tattoo. The line work is fantastic, and worked very well next to my previous tattoo. She is a God among artists, and I would recommend her to anyone.

My mother sister and I all wanted to get a small matching tattoo to commemorate the life of my grandmother who passed away a while back. Being a freshman in college, I still struggle to plan ahead so I had three weeks to design and get this tattoo before going back to college. I found Tara online and I thought she would be perfect! I first emailed her, but after a few days there was no response. I then went to the shop to talk to her in person on January 5th. The only time she could do the tattoo was on January 11th, she put me down as a maybe as I had to check with my moms work schedule. I sent a confirmation email that we could do it that same night. When we show up to get the tattoo on the 11th, Tara was a no show! (We then went to Laughing Buddha on Broadway and they did a great job.) I guess you could call it a miscommunication? When my family went to Osprey Tattoo to get our tattoo done and Tara was not there, one of the shops employees texted Tara with my contact information so that we could get in touch. There is nothing wrong with not checking emails regularly, but the part that deserves a 2/5 stars is that even two days later, she has still not sent me one text! I'm sure that you can get a quality tattoo at Osprey Tattoo, but I will never know because I went to a tattoo parlor that takes their customers seriously.

I just finished up with Tara. I got a bouquet of 3 flowers with some lavender and a pussy willow branch. Took 1.5 hours start to finish, all done with a single needle. Tara is very sweet, very accommodating (she was happy to make changes to placement, add details, modify the design a bit), and was a pleasure to work with. The shop is small, but comfortable, and the other two artists (Randi and Lydia) were super nice and funny. It was me and two friends in town getting tattoos together, and it was easy to make our appointments online (a couple months in advance), and communication was good. We all received proofs before our appointment, and went in with a good idea of what we were getting, but also the ability to request additional details. Overall, a 5 star experience. I'd come back again and I'd definitely recommend to a friend.

I got my very first tattoo today from Tara. I did plenty of research on who to go to, mostly consisting of scouring the Internet for examples of their work. I wanted some fine-line work done and the tattoo I wanted was fairly small. I'm so glad I stumbled upon Osprey Tattoo and got a hold of Tara. I believe she came in earlier than usual for me, which was very much appreciated. We walked in and from right from the start I felt comfortable with her. She's relaxed and easy to talk to. She drew up what I wanted, and next thing you know we're putting the stencil on my arm. I particularly enjoyed her patience as I made her put the stencil on and off several times until I thought it was just right. At no point did she seem bothered or annoyed by it. Maybe that's just normal for the tattoo process but as a new comer, I certainly took note of it and it's one of the reasons I'll be back (and probably soon).If you're looking for a great, personable, and talented artist you should definitely reach out to Tara. While this time around I specifically knew what I wanted, I think next time I'll let her create something for me. The work I've seen so far is amazing.She was also really easy to communicate with via email. I very much appreciated that, particularly because of my busy schedule.I was fortunate enough to find a fantastic artist on my first go.

I had an amazing experience while at Osprey & it's not hard to see what made it so great. Between Tara's personality, overall comfort I felt while at the shop & everyone's positive mood throughout the day- it made for one of the greatest experiences I've had while getting tattooed. I got a custom tattoo from Tara about a year ago. The tattoo itself is pretty cool. She does very beautiful fine line black and white work. Having said that, I wanted a sleeve designed, not just a big tattoo. I have since realized that other shops tend to do it by designing the whole sleeve, tattooing the outline, and then filling it in over several appointments. Instead of doing that, I had to sort of wait around while she made the drawing fit my arm. She was dancing around and joking with a co-worker, and I was paying for that time. And then, when part of the tattoo looked... not at all like I wanted it to look, she did fix it right away, but the end result really isn't what I wanted and doesn't look like the original design.So if you want like one, really nice detailed black and white tattoo from her, I'd say go ahead. But if you need her to design you a sleeve, or if you mind paying for set up time and dancing around chatting time, I wouldn't go with Tara.

Tara tattooed me for my very first tattoo. She was awesome. We started with just meeting and talking. I met with several other tattoo artists to be sure that I got the best artist out there. After meeting with several other people I decided Tara was the one for me. She was very helpful and educated me about the tattooing process. She didn't treat me like an idiot because I didn't know anything, just explained things and gave me some helpful advice for my first tattoo.After a couple weeks (and TONS of back and forth emails) it was finally the day to get my tattoo. We finalized the design and made sure it was just what I wanted then we stared to tattoo. She was really easy going and played the music I liked :)It was fun to see the dog that was in there (although he did make the shop smell like fart for a little bit - only joking, he was great!). I have 2 doggies of my own so it was cool there was one there for a little.My tattoo took about 3 hours and looks awesome.It's been a little over 2 weeks since I got my tattoo and it is healing great! She also offers 1 free touch up, up to 6 months after your tattoo. I thought that was really great because you never know what might happen during the healing process (which I was totally new to).I for sure plan to go in for my touch up (even if it is just to get some feedback from Tara). I am also planning the next tattoo I want from Tara. Eventually I will get a half-sleeve but I'm just staring it now.Tara is a great artist and her prices are very competitive. I was willing to pay the big bucks for an amazing tattoo - after all, I've waited 25 years to get it so I wanted it to be perfect!Thanks Tara for the awesome tattoo experience and I will be coming back. I am recommending her to all my friends who want tattoos.

Eeek!! Had such an amazing experience here. Tara is sweet and everyone she worked with made me feel super comfortable. Sometimes you walk into tattoo shops and feel judged or looked down on. Especially in Seattle I notice a holier-than-thou attitude. Maybe I'm super sensitive, I dunno, but either way, I didn't feel that here. She's professional, easy to chat with, and easy to be quiet around...which are all things I find super important in an artist. Most important, I love my tattoo. It's beautiful I had a really hard time explaining what I wanted, we spoke through emails for awhile...and she was ridiculously patient and kind when I had a hard time explaining what I wanted. I'll be coming back for more soon!

I found Tara online after reading reviews and checking out her incredible profile, and she is hands down my favorite tattoo artist ever. The tattoo she designed has given me so much happiness. I would and have recommended her to anyone seeking a skilled and thoughtful artist to work with. I had a crappy tattoo I got when I was 18 that I wanted to get covered up but I had a pretty abstract idea and no concept of what a cover up entailed. I wasn't sure what to expect and was really relying on her artistry. Tara was honest, sincere, and communicative throughout the process, and I love the custom artwork she shared with me. I'm so happy with my tattoo, and I feel like she had really creative solutions to the cover up. The design is gorgeous.I want to thank her so much for giving me a beautiful tattoo and keeping me laughing the entire time. The shop - Alleged Tattoo - feels warm and everyone I met was friendly and full of good humor. Tara was also meticulous with safety precautions and great about checking in throughout the session. And played Michael Jackson. I could go on forever. I am extremely lucky and pleased to have met Tara, let alone get an awesomely unique tattoo from her. Thank you!
