I've had a few tattoos done here, including one cover up. Ashley is my preferred artist because she makes really pretty floral and space designs. She really knows the best placement for the body.Pricing is fair and everyone in the shop is nice. They sometimes have fun holiday flash and charity  specials.The only thing I don't like is being in the middle of the wide open floor in front of everybody, staff and customers walking in. I promised my daughter that when she turned 18, I'd pay for her first tattoo.  At the last minute I decided to get my first tattoo as well.  We got matching Harry Potter tattoos (daughter on shoulder and me on the inside of my wrist) from Andy.  He was quick and did a great job with the design.  He was also very patient with my squawks and curses during the procedure, and was a lot nicer than my daughter who rolled her eyes at me.  My oldest kid has told me I should get a tattoo with each of my children.  I've already decided on my second one, and I will definitely return to Emerald City and Andy.  And I promise not to be such a drama queen. Jeannie did my tattoo and i am sooooo happy with it!! It is a phrase down my spine from top to bottom, in her own beautiful script.  It is clear and sharp and legible from even afar.  I had already been turned down by another shop, but Jeannie was up for the challenge. Another point to make is that she was very conscious of the pain of doing a tattoo all along the spine, and did everything to make me as comfortable as possible. Just left my appointment and I so happy ! Andy drew up my tattoo after our consultation. He took the idea in my head , transfered it to paper and finally it landed on my body. I've been to several other tattoo artists trying to make this happen. Andy was the only one that achieved my desired result. He's extremely patient , efficient and professional . A true artist. Stopped by to get a Hylian Crest tattoo , with little notice except a call a few hours before. I showed up while my artist Andy was on break . He welcomed me in and immediately got started on helping me out and figuring out the size of my tattoo and where it would be . Very friendly guy and he gave me an amazing and flawless tattoo . It's still fresh so I have yet to see if it might have some spots that need a touch up , but a touch up is free within 3 months of your tattoo. I will be coming back here for all my future ink . Go to ANDY!Knew I wanted to get the ugly keloid scar on my arm covered with a tattoo of my family coat of arms, but was so scared because I read that tattooing over scars can be risky. Andy had inked a little Scotty dog on my wrist before, so I asked him how he would feel about it. Super glad that he agreed and was even enthusiastic about helping me out.I gave him a VERY rough sketch of the image and a description of the components. He put together a drawing that was way better than what I had envisioned. It's a beautiful depiction of something meaningful to me and he clearly took the time to make it perfect. He gave me some options - to have it done in color or to make it more traditional with a banner, but didn't pressure me with any.Andy is such a pleasure to be around, in addition to being a really talented artist. So, the whole experience was great. He is professional, personable, and clearly cares about customer satisfaction. I couldn't be happier with the end result. Now I have a super cool tattoo on my arm instead of a hideous scar! I'll definitely be back. The shop has a warm, welcoming vibe.  Even my 66-year-old mom felt comfortable there when she stopped by. The guys at Emerald City Tattoo are not only talented, but some of the nicest people I?ve met, which is a big luxury to me in this industry. The guy who helped me, Bryan, was passionate about art, and it really showed in the final results of my tattoo. I?ve been to at least four other places in the Seattle area, and none were even remotely close to being as great as this place. They will ensure you are satisfied with the design, add in helpful suggestions without the common tattoo-artist-arrogance, and pace the actual tattooing to what you are comfortable with. these guys are mega rad. when i say mega rad i definatly mean like, mega awesome super mondo rad. i called and got in on short notice. had my tattoo drawn up. and it's better than i could of thought. i got it on my ribs which hurt a bunch. but they were cool about it. very talented AND walked me and my friend to the car so we wouldn't get jumped by the lakecity crazy bums. super reasonable price as well. woo hoo! go team! you guys rock and you made my tattoo the coolest ever. thank you sooo much!
