I loved it when I went, but my friend paid a deposit with a girl that USE to be there (the one that did my tattoo) and the girl ran off to another shop with the money! Since she's a contractor, they aren't liable for the deposit. I came in from Wyoming to visit family and decided to do a walk in appointment. The staff Kelsey and Shane were AMAZING!!!!! Really nice, informative and helpful. My girl and I just had the best experience at Sacred Soul!! We were greeted warmly. The atmosphere is inviting, warm and you can tell that Michelle and her Husband (sorry I am terrible with names) love what they do. Everyone we met was professional and kind. Terrible customer service! I called ahead asking about a small tattoo and they said I could just walk in for it. The shop doesn't have any parking at all! So I had to park half a mile down the road and walk to the shop in the rain. I then went in and talked to Shane who was so rude to me I had to walk out! Turns out I was given wrong information about walk ins there... They don't actually do them even tho they advertise for them! Shane proceeded to get very impatient with me and told me to come back in an hour when another artist shows up and maybe if they had time they would help me. Just got my first tattoo (on my chest, over my heart).  Looked at a few shops and chose Sacred Soul Tattoo as they were very responsive and interested.  Went into the shop on a Monday to talk with them.  Looked over 5 portfolio books and chose Colin Bryant and met with him.  Amazing guy!  Came in the following Friday to go over the tattoo ideas and then had it done on Saturday.  Colin is incredible.  He is the type of guy you'd want to come and see just to shoot the sh!t with.  But his work on my tattoo was superb.  It was a bit tricky in that there were several circles and they all came out absolutely perfect.  And his kanji characters are spot on.  So happy with the results.  The shop is clean and organized.  Everyone that I spoke with was kind.  I recommend this place.  Amazing experience. SO DISAPPOINTED!! SO UNPROFESSIONAL! I have been following Michelle's art for years because I was a huge fan and wanted to get my main piece done by her. I filled out my application with a basic idea of what I wanted, stating that I was super flexible with size, placement, and style so she could let her creative juice flow. I also said that I wanted her to really put herself into it and I wasn't worried about cost. I asked the guy at the front desk some questions about the process, but he was more interested in telling me about his work than helping me with mine so I didn't receive very clear answers. He did say this piece was right up her ally and I was told her assistant would call me and do a phone interview that weekend. 2 weeks went by and I heard nothing so I politely emailed the shop asking if I was missing something and I got a huge long response from Michelle declining my project stating that she had a hand injury and cant do ribs and how she didn't respond because of this and that. I replied requesting that she reconsider since I never even received an interview, stated that I felt it was a misunderstanding, and restated how flexible I was with placement. I got a rude email back from Michelle stating that she went on my Facebook and called one of the people on my friends list to complain that I was being pushy. I apologized if it came of like that explaining that I was just excited and felt I deserved at least an interview. Nothing. I think its immature and ridiculous that she had the time to call that person instead of just me. I never got to speak with her or her assistant. This ended up just becoming a ego fit and she clearly doesn't care about the art anymore. The popularity has gone to her head. So if you still want work done, make sure you walk on eggshells with her and have your Facebook on private. Read Less

The people at Sacred Soul are amazing. Most places you go and get a tattoo from some swarthy ex-junky that doesn't care to anything about you, that's definitely not the case here. They treat you as if you are extended family. I have had three amazing tattoos from Axi and one from Colin, all of which turned out great. I've been wanting to get a tattoo done for awhile now  in honor of my mom who passed away several years ago  but was scared to due to my fear of needles.My friend  got her tattoo  by Ryan and recommended him so when  she went in for a touch up  I  went with her and ended up getting a tattoo. It was an awesome experience. Ryan was very patient with me  and  made me feel at ease. I  couldn't have asked for a better person to do my tattoo. I met Michelle around town and was very happy that she was so interested in my previous tattoo experiences. She gave me her card so I could research her online, which I thought was very professional. We set an appointment two months in advance so I had time to perfect my design. Her establishment is pristine. Everyone was welcoming. She took her time. The color choices were spectacular! Her books are a great representation of her talent taking into consideration they are reprints. She came in early to do my tattoo, which I really appreciated because I had finals that day. Man where to begin.  A friend recommend Michell to me for my second tattoo.  So I booked a spot and had a consult for a half sleeve.  Right away I knew she wasn't a good artist.  Every idea she had was ripped right off of gootle images.  The first appointment was a grey lining session(not quite outlining).  She charged me over 700$ to grey line and it took here over SIX hours.  Every appointment after that she drilled my arm for hours.  She is extremely slow.  Ive had a five by five area tattooed in about an hour by proper artists.  She drilled a two inch by two inch spot for six hours during one of the appointments.  Additionally she was late for every appointment and not like fifteen minutes were talking hours.  Every session ended in scarring and the skin falling appart.  Being nieve I kept coming back as she had me convinced it was poor after care.  So she lied to me and robbed me for more than 1700$ for an incomplete sh* t half sleeve.  Since then I have discovered what a professional talented tattoo artist is and that scarring should NEVER happen unless you have a poor artist.  Since then ive had my leg done at tsunami tattoo in Tacoma.  I use minimal after care if any and my tattoos heal bright clean and vividly.  Michelle is a joke and a thief.  I strongly recommend you do your research and find some place else.  Dont fund this thief!Pictures of michelles crummy work to be posted later Read Less

what an amazing artist!  i recently lost one of my 14 year old kitties and knew that i wanted to have his and his brother's portraits tattooed on my arm.  i have been to slave to the needle in wallingford and had a good experience there, but when i saw michelle's animal portraits in her portfolio, i knew she was the one for this piece.  she also came recommended by 2 friends, so that was good, too.she's hard to get time with, so you have to be patient.  it took 6 weeks to get my first appointment and that was only because of a cancellation, and my next 2 are 6-8 weeks apart.  but here's the thing: this is a piece of art that is going to be on my body forever and has tremendous sentimental value.  i am willing to wait for the right person to do it.her customer service is great, too.  she's impossible to get ahold of, so i had to stop into the shop whenever i wanted to talk to her about planning (i live 3/4 of a mile away, so no issue for me), but once i was in the chair, she got to show how much she really cares about her clients and her business.  the first phase took an hour & a half longer than she expected, so she gave me the excess time free; she really understood exactly what i wanted and made it work; she doesn't do small pieces because she isn't good at them and has the integrity not to do work she can't be proud of, but she made the portraits as small as she could so they could go on my arm.  that really meant a lot to me.if you want a piece you're very serious about - especially a large piece - i highly recommend michelle. I went to Sacred Soul after a friend recommended that I see Michelle for a tattoo. Michelle wasn't available for months so I saw the gal who was working for her at the time. I brought in a picture of exactly what I wanted. No alterations or anything. Just copy a tattoo that a friend had. It was absolutely terrible when I left. Nothing like the picture. The shading was blotchy and looked like absolute sh*t and it was like a cookie cutter shape I could've paid my niece to do. On top of that, she was extremely rude the whole time, acted like she didn't want to be there AND took her precious time charging me about twice of what it should've cost. I have had it worked on twice now to try and fix what she did but it will never look good. I'm stuck with a hideous tattoo on my side that I didn't even want in the first place. When I came in a month later to schedule a touch-up I was still hopeful and explained to Michelle that I didn't like my tattoo and in a super snotty tone she explained she is SOOO booked up she can't see me for a few months. Michelle is the most talented women tattoo artist I have ever known. She does incredible work, I have sat with her for over 35 hours, she did both of my sleeves that are gorgeous. She salvaged a botched tat and turned it into a piece of art that I show off proudly. She does have a life outside the shop, what a shock! But she has been devoted to making me happy with my art even at her own personal sacrific, while having kidney stones for example. she makes you feel instantly comfortable and makes the hours float by, even if your in pain! Michelle is one of the kindest and most talented artists in the Seattle area, nay, the World!  I've been tattooed by her locally and in Europe and I can say with complete pride and confidence that her work is the best I have ever had.  I constantly have people commenting on my piece that is still a WIP.  It's agreed that the black & white shading work she's done is one of the best most people have seen. If you want a great tattoo from a custom artist that will wow your friends or wow yourself every time you see it, this is the place to go!  There might be a waiting list, but there is a reason for that and the wait is totally worth it.  She is not just a tracer, but an artist and will give you a truly unique and intimate piece of art on your body.  You have to remember that you are marking your body for "life" and if you can't wait a month to get it, than you need to calm down and think about who would be doing your 0-day tattoo and how many pieces they turn out every day that they trace onto your arm and don't care about the second you walk out the door. In Amsterdam I watched her tattoo several pieces and they all turned out beautifully!  Her clients always leave happy and completely satisfied with what they got.  One girl said she would never get a tattoo, but after watching Michelle for a while and looking at her portfolio, decided that she would be the one to give her a first and possibly only tattoo.
