Disclaimers Included: Connor and Tai-Li are great artists, which is evident from their portfolios. Given, I did come in at a late time in the night, and Connor was working on someone and was clearly busy. However, I wasn't quite sure where to go when I came in because I didn't see anyone at the front desk. Connor greeted me, and seemed nice, but when I just said hello and wasn't sure even how to go forward because I'd never been in a tattoo shop before in my life, he just lifted his chin and looked at me blankly in a patronizing way. When I asked for Tai-Li, the experience went well at first, until I found out that it's a 60 dollar downpayment (which is good pricing, but bad tact) to even have a consultation (literally to see a sketch). This is not clearly written on their website at all. i understand sketches/preparations take time and effort, but what if I don't like her style? What if I want to pursue other options? It leaves no room for anything. When I told her that I would come in another day to make the payment, she was nice about it. But then, I showed her some images from Google for MY ideas of how I wanted this tattoo on my body. Given, I didn't have the best "tattoo shop etiquette" and probably came off as "insulting her artistry." But she just flat-out told me "It won't look anything like that." That was the whole point of me bringing those pictures is so I as a customer would be assured my personal image was coming across and could be translated into her artistry. Overall, I felt extremely uncomfortable and didn't feel welcomed there. I felt as though my reassurance was inferior. Read Less
