DiGee is the place to go in town for tattoos. I echo the other comment I saw below - a reasonable rate for a tattoo is $120-$150/hour, and most shops will always charge you a one hour minimum, whether it takes five minutes or fifty. Gary has one of the lightest, most comfortable touches of any tattoo artist I've met. He's great with re-creations of art, has done some fabulous watercolor-style work I've seen, and has an impeccably clean and sterile environment. Best tattoo artist in town. Such a light touch, nearly painless for most of my session. He's got a great knack for covering old awful tattoos, and faithful re-creation of a couple of tarot cards I  had done on my lower arms. My wife has had two tattoo's done there and both are amazing. She loves them! Gary's work is really good and despite what you read in one of these reviews, his prices are industry standard. I haven't actually been to this shop. But the review by that total idiot James had to be evened out. Shop minimum for most tattoo shops is at least $80. It doesn't matter the size. Do research before your dumb ass leaves the house to get a butterfly tramp stamp, looking at you James. Read Less

Paid 400 fir a tattoo I decided not to get due to him taking way too long with the design, when asked for my money back he then told me about the no refund policy which was never discussed.... This man is a con artist and a shitty artist as well as a shitty person, I mean who takes from a single mother and doesn't return the money, this guy.....He's a joke... Doesn't even deserve a star. Great place loved the tattoos and great environment, but definitely got ripped off. Said I took 1hr and 30 min to just for the small portion. Charging me $180! Couldn't believe it. He even told me I was even getting away with a bit. Then came back a few weeks later for another hoping he'd be more reasonable, charges me $80for a really small tattoo. No even an hour. Not as bad. But seriously? Don't go unless your a highly experienced tattooist. This guy will take advantage of the young and new. BEWARE!!! Read Less

I will admit, I'm a tattoo newbie. Just got my first one here at diGee Ink in February this year. I just have to say, though, that G made me and my friend, who was also getting her first one done at the same time, feel very at ease. We were commemorating my cousin who had passed the year before to the day and I warned G ahead of time there would be tears. He was totally fine with that:) He did a fantastic job designing both tattoos making sure they were perfect! Spent an evening here with some of my best friends on a bachelor party. I spoke with G the owner from Illinois while I was planning the party in advance, not only was he helpful regarding our appointment, he also made several awesome recommendations as to where we could go out for drinks after.G was very professional, clean, calming, and in general the perfect person we could have had do the work we wanted done. Went here with my friends for a bachelor party, and G, the artist, was amazing.  He answered all the questions we had, kept the place immaculate, suggested a great bar for the the rest of the group to check out while he did his work, and did quick, high quality work for two of us.  One of our group managed to injure himself while waiting for the two tattoos, and G even patched him right up too.  Simply amazing service and skill. Saw Digee Ink from our hotel room in Port Townsend.  Looked them up online, liked the work, sent an email.  G was booked all weekend, but luckily some schmuck flaked on his appointment and I got his time slot.G took my idea, including some water color styled background, and using some fancy software and some colored pencils, made it come to life.  It was perfect.  He quoted me a fair price, set up his station, and got right to work.Over all, our experience was great.  G has a good sense of humor, is very professional and clean/sterile with his work, and has great music playing in the studio.  My girlfriend pulled right up beside the chair and we talked to him the entire time.  I left with a souvenir that is exactly what I wanted and that gets compliments all day long.  Tip: If you're visiting for the weekend, make your appointment a few weeks ahead - he told us he books up the weekend pretty early.  Also, I recommend going downstairs afterward to the Cellar for some crazy drinks and good food.
