Lynn is a great artist and extremely dedicated to her work. The first time I met her I knew she was who I was looking for to do my art. I came in with just a rough idea in my head of what I wanted and when I saw what she drew up it was as though she had plucked it from my mind. She understood how important it was to me to be accurate and vivid and she did research and learned things that she put into that piece. While it's taken me far too long to "finish" my original piece I was able to do so recently with Lynn. Days after that I decided to start on my next piece with her and when I had contacted her in regards to it she had already been working on it!! Julia is an amazing artist. She did a great job in my second tattoo and manages time well. She has a very steady hand and makes sure you're comfortable during the process. Julia takes her time making sure you place the tattoo in the best spot possible.She also takes her spin at the design to had a touch of uniqueness(you can also have her do it exactly as the picture).The shop is well priced and very clean. so i just came from another visit with Lynn at Mystic and it dawned on me that i have been trusting her to work on me for 10 years now,following her from Lucky Devil in Seattle to Mystic in Mukilteo. and i'm going to tell you the reasons why : ~EXPERTISE : i have observed her with 1st-timers,taking the time to explain how and why certain things work or do not work with some people in contrast to others,ensuring she will do the right thing for her clients while sticking to the wishes of their original ideas.an important balance. she clearly has the experience,knowledge and artistry to back up her work. ~COMMUNICATION : i have been to other artists over the past 20 years.believe me,it is NOT always easy to hear back from them or set up an appointment.Lynn has always been quick to respond and get me in asap,whether she was at her long-time home at Lucky Devil or out at her new place,in a new town,at Mystic. ~PERSONA : anyone here have trust issues?? well,I do.i find it difficult to let ANYbody near me(let alone someone with a sharp,electric,buzzing instrument ; ))...from even my first session with Lynn, i was able to let my guard down because she is laid-back,nonjudgemental and UNpretentious.these are important traits for me to find in an artist.i don't need you to imply how much cooler you are than i am just because you are an experienced tattoo artist and i am just an everyday,normal,boring human with zero creative,artistic or coolness skills---i need you to express your passion in the craft and if you want to throw in some great conversation,expressing your passions in life too,go for it! for me,there is an extremely therapeutic aspect to getting inked.Lynn understands this and always makes me comfortable with her "table-side" manner. ~i have recommended her to a slew of other friends who always leave there thanking ME for how awesome Lynn's work is and how great an experience it was,and in turn,recommend their friends.that's how it works,kids. Lynn is amazing.  She gave both me and my 18 yr old daughter our first tattoos.  It was in honor of my late Mom who just passed away a few months ago.  She did the most amazing work - I am in awe of her work and would recommend her to anyone.  She is sweet and humble with many great stories.  She has given tattoos to some famous rockers in the PNW and has a great way to make you feel at ease and is honest about the process and what to expect.  I was nervous and waited forever to get one.  Now ready to get a zillion more! Lynn has several hours into a lower half-sleeve for me. I came into this project with a bare-bones idea of what I wanted. She fleshed it out and presented me with a beautiful layout. When the outline was complete, I was thrilled and completely satisfied with the look. Then she started adding the color. I experienced what I can only describe as a Technicolor rush. I am very frequently complimented on the beautiful color gradation of my tat and the unique design.
