I feel like I dodged a bullet in declining to work with Daniel Lovre. I chose not to get a tattoo with him after a consultation (and offered to pay him for his time), and this is where things got crazy - he proceeded to berate me via a long and abusive email about how I am missing an amazing opportunity. Then, he requested $240 for a consultation that was little more than one hour, which required no prep work and was mostly him showing me previous work. If only this was where the story ended... he CONTINUED to send me multiple emails berating me. I do not want this guy within 20 feet of me, much less with a tattoo needle in his hand! Please be very cautious about working with Daniel - it's clear his ego is bigger than his skill set, and he's willing to bully his clients. Read Less

I decided on the same day that while he has done interesting and unique tattoos, the majority of his work was not what I was looking for myself. This studio is one of the best I've visited so far. It's open by appointment only and as the two artists there are fantastic you might have to wait a few months until they have time for you or you are referred to an other studio if your ideas and wishes don't match theirs. No need to be offended by that at all. If you are under the lucky people getting an appointment you will be so happy to walk out with a true piece of art under your skin! ... Nick Beuthien and Daniel Lovre are incredibly talented and make you feel right at home at this small but well designed and super clean studio. I especially enjoy the inspiring and often funny conversations with Daniel Lovre and watching him creating art on people's skin is just incredible. His huge variety of motives and his technique are a true gift for tattoo fans. He's definitely a keeper with his wide broadband of artistic interests, his knowledge of art and especially his talent to transfer ideas and fantasies onto human skin in an excellent way. Even the steps in between sessions look awesome and I always look forward to see him again. He's supporting local producers as well as people from the tattoo scene. Nicholas is an amazing artist with a passion for excellence. We discussed a tattoo once, my idea was a creepy bunny. Nicholas took the idea and ran with it. I ended up with a stunning rabbit, scary and vicious with a rabbit's foot around his neck. His hand is light, his artistic sense is enviable, and he's a great guy besides. Read Less
