When I contacted them and told them I wanted to come in on Friday they got me in before they even open at 9am this morning just to accommodate me. Place looks kinda iffy from the outside but I went in to see if the inside matched and was VERY pleasantly surprised. Very clean, artwork on display isn't crude, and they even have toys/games for kids (obviously only in the waiting area), plus a TV. Artists are very friendly and attentive. It was my first tattoo and he talked me through it and took it really easy on the painful areas (rib cage) and when I said conversation helped it not hurt as bad, he spent the rest of the time making sure we had something to talk about. My man billy is the dopest artist in tacoma. I get compliments EVERYWHERE on his amazing work and shading. Instagram @Billclint.g you won't be disappointed . Everyone always wants to know who did it and loves the shading and line work. My experience there was awesome. Great guy very ambitious and hard working. Took a break after three and a half hours and went back at it again. Would definitely go back to finish my sleeve. He has a great idea and puts your ideas together to make them cohesively work as a tattoo. I recommend him to everybody and he always asked how I was doing and made sure I was ok. Went here the other day to get my arm done, overall not bad, but not great either. The tattoo turned out okay but not even on both sides when it comes to making one side look like the other, once they put the layout print on your arm that's all they follow, not once did they stop to look if everything was turning out like it was designed to be. Needs work and they need more practice. After taking a day to look over it to see how well the guy did I noticed its pretty crappy, I wouldn't have paid the full amount if I would have seen what I saw a day later. overall really friendly staff and clean place. Went here with my boyfriend maybe a month ago to get his first tattoo. David, was really nice and was doing all he could to help my boyfriend make sure he liked his tattoo. It really got when me when he handed him the needles and stuff to check himself so he didn't have to worry about if it was already used it not. I decided I want a tattoo and David had spent all day messaging me and figuring out what I want. I was able to send multiple pictures of ideas to him and he was very friendly and nice about it. Very helpful. I haven't got my tattoo yet, but just the fact he helped me so much and was willing to take time out of his day to message me back shows a lot. The Needle Lounge has an excellent, laid back yet clean and professional atmosphere with a busy, bustling team who you can tell are passionate about what they do. Fairly new to the Tacoma and Lakewood tattooing scene, The Needle Lounge will soon be one of the favorite places to go from what I'm seeing. Celeste did two of my tattoos recently and I'm so pleased. My dad passed away a month ago and I wanted to get a memorial tattoo for him done. I search a few different places but The Needle Lounge in Lakewood had some Amazing reviews.  So went in and met with a few of the artists. Celeste was awesome. I chose her to sketch my piece. It was going to cover an older tattoo because I wanted the memorial piece more visible. So gave her a few ideas, certain thing I wanted incorporated and within a few days she had it! She captured to true essence of my dad in this piece. We spent many times hunting and fishing and just exploring the outdoors.  I also wanted a quote added and she did it beautifully. They do specialize in a lot of tribal but the work done there is exquisite.  Not only was the service and artist amazing but the pricing is incredibly reasonable.   The vibe in the shop was very relaxed. They played Island reggae etc for a nice calming effect. I know where I will be going for any and all of my future tattooing needs. Read Less

After being tatted by these amazing and friendly people I doubt I will ever get one anywhere else ever again. This is a very nice and family oriented business and they go the extra length for their customers. I have gotten one here so far on my arm and the careful touch and light handed techniques used were perfect. So my sister and I decided to get tattoos together. We had an idea of what we wanted so we just went to the needle lounge and we're going to make a final decision when we got there and saw the portfolios and talked to whatever artist we chose. Well we got a lot of help from the woman there i can't think of her name now but she is renmel wife.  she helped us make a decision and we picked renmel to do our tattoos  because we loved his work on his portfolio and he just had great line work and art in general . Renmel was very friendly and easy to talk too he made us comfortable and welcome he talked to us the whole time and made it a fun experience which is hard to find these days l. So we really appreciated it and we love 0ur tattoos he did a great job and we will for sure be back to see him. :) Read Less
