I have been tattooed at 7 different tattoo parlors and Mammoth Tattoo Studio has easily been my favorite. Robin was my artist and was incredibly professional, helpful, creative and skilled. The shop primarily does traditional tattooing, which is obvious by seeing all the artists amazing work covering the walls, creating a real artistic atmosphere. My first experience with Mammoth Tattoo Studio was me just walking in and getting a ten minute conversation with Robin. He was able to take the idea I had in my head and translate it perfectly to a stencil with plans for bold lines and bright colors, my favorite! When I arrived at my appointment he had his set up ready. Then we spent some time talking about the stencil, the colors, and making sure that I was comfortable with his plan on how he was going to do the tattoo. We briefly discussed his rates before starting and they were very fair. That goes for everyone in the shop as well, they are there to make a living, not scam anyone out of money. Once the tattooing began, Robin stayed very professional but also able to have great small talk to get to know each other. Whether it was talking about the reasons for the tattoo or sports or just life in general, he was great at keeping me relaxed while still being extremely focused on what he was doing. I loved his work so much that I have since gotten another piece from him and brought my wife in for some ink as well. In all the visits I have had to Mammoth I have seen Robin and all the other artists doing amazing work on their clients. It is really a sight to behold and the whole shop has really made myself and my wife feel very welcome there and has always shown respect to our tattoo ideas and helped make them a reality. If for whatever reason you love Robin's work but aren't sure you want something tattooed, he also does some amazing paintings that he is willing to sell. I have seen Robin Munar here at Mammoth for a few pieces and have come away every time very happy and excited with the finished product and service. Robin is very genuine and easy to work with, he's always been very patient and honest about my visions for a tattoo and does a great job of adding a blend of his style and specialties into every one. He's a very talented artist and offers a very fair price and will be flexible and able to work within your budget if you communicate with him. The location and parking of the studio is easy to get to and offers a front parking lot along with spots in the back of the building along with an ATM right next door located in the small convenient store. Got a tattoo there a couple months ago Jamie did it and he was pretty cool, not really the most fun place to go everyone's a little too cool for school ( I'll admit I'm in my 50''s) but jeez lighten up! So I've gone in twice to get a touch up, it needs about an inch of purple colored in cuz it just didn't take. First time 4 weeks later it wasn't healed enough they said so fine. I go in today and Jamie's not there so I show this young pup my tat on my foot, which I lifted up and put on his leg ( 10 min after pedicure ) and he said he couldn't ad the purple for me and to never put my foot on his leg again! whatever..... then he just got ruder and more disrespectful! I just got my FIRST tattoo today from Jamie. He was awesome! He picked up that I wasn't talking about my tattoo other than saying, "it seemed like as good a weekend as any." My tattoo was a memorial for my dad who passed away in 2015. I didn't really want to address this so we just talked about other stuff. Jacob did my first tattoo about a year ago and it turned out beautifully.  It was such a pleasant experience that I went back about a week ago for two more tattoos. I'm so sorry that I did because Jacob made me feel like I was inconveniencing him when I showed up to discuss the designs I wanted.  When I got there Jacob made a sketch of my left leg. The sketch of my leg was lumpy. I don't know if that is standard but I feel that it was rude, sexist. As Jacob was sketching my leg another male tattoo artist asked me if I "liked" getting tattoos.  I was very surprised by this question because I didn't understand what he was getting at. After tracing the outline of my leg Jacob gave me a quote of $250 without even showing me the design.  I left so disappointed but I agreed to come back during the weekend to see the design and get my tattoos. During the week I decided to also have a tattoo of a heart on the back of my neck.  I emailed Jacob asking him to design the heart and add  the cost to my quote.  I never heard back from Jacob. Rude and unprofessional!I am so embarrassed and upset by the treatment I received.  I plan to skip my appointment and seek service elsewhere. Read Less

My husband and I both got tattoos at Mammoth Tattoo Studio yesterday and we had a great experience. Everyone in the shop was very friendly, helpful and knowledgable. The shop is clean and they have a plethora of awesome artwork for inspiration. We both came in with pictures of the styles we liked and they were able to tweak it as per our requests, as well as give us their professional opinion on what looked best. Mason worked with me on the drawing, giving me tips on how to make it better while also listening to what I liked or wanted to change. So I came here a couple months ago with my best friend for her first tattoo my third we got matching ones and to be real my experience wasn't bad , the shop was clean and organized and the guys were cool but we went in there knowing exactly what we wanted and where we wanted it and had to change it up Coz of holding up well and the actual tattoos didn't come out as well as we hoped considering the reviews this shop had.... Fantastic place for a tattoo. The staff is super nice and easy to talk to. I got my first tattoo here and although it was simple it looks exactly like what I asked for. The place is super clean and well maintained. The best part was that the price is much more reasonable than on the west side lake. So I went down there hoping they could add some color to this safari Tattoo I had but nope. Its completely fucked up its scared so badly its not recognizable. The guy that did my tattoo was jacob, he was just too heavy handed my arm looks like its recovering from a third degree burn. Now I'm waiting for it to heal up so i can get a professional to actually fix it right the first time instead of making my arm look like it was exposed to leprosy,Going there, was a horrible idea. To start, I love my tattoo! Came here on a Friday the 13th around 6 and I didn't have to wait long before we got started. Mason did my tattoo and did an awesome job! I got a rose on my hip/stomach and he thanked me multiple times for being so good at not twitching around. Seriously, one of the most painful areas. The design is classic, it's beautiful. Not a huge piece but with the extra colors it is a bit more than most of my tattoos. Everyone who was in there at the time seemed really cool, friendly and personable. Went in to Mammoth tattoo today, been planning a piece for many years, and kinda decided on a whim to go get it. I was a walk-in and got a semi-simple piece on my back. And was able to have the artist research and draw up the design I wanted on the spot. Jacob was the artist who did it, and I am pleased with my ink. Small shop, with decent prices.
