I am extremely disappointed with this business. They stated they were open from 1-6 pm and there was no note on their door or on their voicemail when we called prior to driving 45 minutes to get there. We showed up and they were closed. I strongly encourage anyone looking for a body piercer to look elsewhere. I went into this business yesterday afternoon to have some questions answered about getting a septum piercing. I wanted the piercing done with a gold infinity ring, but she told me that the rings she had were too small so I asked if she could order one in gold from her jeweler. She told me this was absolutely possible, so I asked to give her my Information so she could contact me after it arrived. After I'd asked a few more questions about placement, healing, etc. she tells me that because of the placement I wanted that she thought she could do the piercing with the smaller ring. So I said okay let's go for it. She pierces me, but can't get the hoop in and tried multiple times. Mind you, needle in my face the entire time this is happening and she's simultaneously exclaiming "oh no! Oh crap! Hold on, let me try again!" After 3+ attempts at getting the jewelry in that she assured me would fit, she pulled the needle out and told me she wanted to try again after the bleeding stopped. Instead, I took a refund and left as soon as I was no longer nauseas. To add insult to injury, she never marked my piercing placement, and the puncture wounds in my septum were clearly uneven when I looked at them last evening in the mirror. In all my years of getting body piercings (I have over a dozen from various piercers) I've never had such a poor, painful, or traumatic experience. I went to go get my doubles pierced on both ears, so i can't speak for the tattoo artist. However, the woman that does the piercing was phenomenal!! It was all very clean! I was freaking out and being super difficult but she was so patient and understanding!! At first she seems intimidating (on the phone and when you walk in) but she was AWESOME!! I have gotten all 7 of my piercings here, Susan is great! She makes you feel really comfortable and secure, so if you are stressed out about getting your first piercing she's the woman to go to. She is quite particular about what type of jewelry she will put in to start, which is reasonable because if she isn't comfortable with it, you shouldn't be either. A lot of people are hesitant because she tells you to use bactine to clean your piercings instead of salt water, but I haven't had any problems with bactine, versus my friends who have used sea salt have almost always gotten infections. Cartilage is $40, Lobe is $25 for one or $40 for two. Overall, nice environment and very affordable price for quality piercings. You also get a lollipop after! Read Less

Susin was great. She always told me what she was doing before handling my ear and asked for permission whenever necessary. This made me feel comfortable and she skillfully handled the needle, didn't hurt at all. In the end, she thoroughly explained how I should take care of my new piercing, rather than assuming that I already knew how, based on the multiple piercings I already had. I read some reviews about how this place isn't friendly, but I thought Susin was actually really cool. She just has a laid-back-no-bullsh*t attitude which I personally find awesome. Read Less

Susin does a great job piercing!! I had a double Helix done in my left ear (will be going back for the right later), and I have no bruising, no redness, and it barely hurts. I know that part of that is my body's natural ability to handle the trauma of getting two piercings, but everyone I know who has had Helix piercings are amazed by how little it's bugging me. We ended up at the Kirkland Tattoo studio due to bad traffic that kept us from our original plan of going into Seattle.  My daughter and her best friend were getting their ears pierced as 13th brirthday presents.   Susin was pretty blunt and unfriendly, more concerned about getting her $100 than making sure that this was a good experience for two nervous teenagers.  When my daughter went completely white after the second piercing, Susin didn't notice and didn't change her demeanor.  Once finished, we were sitting in the lobby and my daughter was about to get sick.  Susin commented that she needed to go outside or to the trash can so that she didn't have to clean up the floor.  Only after we were outside for a bit did she come out with water and to check in.  Although the piercings are well done, the experience was a huge disappointment compared to our older daughter's.  If you have a choice, cross the bridge and go to Pierced Hearts in the University District!! Also to get some small hoops I could leave in my second piercings in my ear lobes (one of those needed some help with getting an earring back through it was well). Susin was legit!Super quick, super professional. She was also pleasant and friendly while being down to business. She gives you an aftercare sheet,and tells you exactly how to care for your piercing after you're done.She's done my friend (who accompanied me)'s piercings before, and did a monroe piercing on her this time.  Which looks fabulous might I add. I got my industrial piercing done here in june and i absolutely love it! The lady was very professional and friendly. I was feeling uncomfortable and brought a few friends which she allowed into the back room to come and support me. She did my piercing very fast so the pain wasn't long and drawn out. Had my nose piercing done here a few weeks ago. I'd been coming here every so often to talk with Susin about piercing prices, or just to see what's up. The process is very simple and quick- give the cash and legal ID, sign the form, pick out your style of piercing, and get it done! Susin answered my questions about how the piercing process worked, and after gave me a lollipop and a paper detailing the aftercare for my new nose stud. She knows very well what she is doing and is willing to answer any questions about piercings and tattoos. Or even if you just need directions somewhere, she's willing to help. The shop is clean and well kept, small, quiet and friendly.Most shops I visit in Seattle are filled with know it all, unfriendly punks that are br00tally tattooed and in tight social circles. I will never be as cool as them. Despite the fact that the shops are clean and trendy, the people just flat out suck. I hardly ever meet a down-to-earth tattoo artist who loves what he does.My brother got work done by Conor Moore here at Kirkland Piercing and Tattoo, he referred me here to get the tattoo I've wanted for years. Conor was friendly, down to earth, and a pretty funny guy. He listened to what I wanted and promptly scheduled my appointment.When I came back to get my tattoo done, I was pleasantly surprised. He had drawn out exactly what I wanted and helped me place it on the perfect place on my body. I was tattooed on my hip and back so that could have made for uncomfortable position, but Conor was very professional and didn't make me feel uncomfortable in any way. If you're looking for a great, down to earth, and amazingly skilled tattoo artist visit this shop.
