After 35 years I got my 2nd tat. We lost our little black dog on Superbowl Sunday this year. A week later I had decided I wanted to get a tattoo of her. The people I know who had recently got tattoos suggested Sunken Ship. Oh my! I'm so glad I listened to them. The first thing I noticed about the shop is,,, it was SO clean and organized. The staff was all very nice and customer service was the best I have seen in a LONG time. I have worked in that capacity before, so I have a... tendency to be really critical about it. I should also mention my last tattoo was done in the lobby of a old hotel, in a little hole in the wall, that wasn't very clean, and this was in the days before AIDS, so they reused the needles, so you can understand my surprise. My husband and I walked in with a picture of our dog, and as soon as I asked about getting it done, all the staff at the counter said and called "Myke". I showed him the picture that I had, but he suggested that I should definitely take the one I liked the best. After setting up the appt, I emailed him my selection. The day of my appointment came, and he showed me the sketch of the picture that he made for the tattoo. I was stunned. Here she was, all drawn out and ready to go. The picture I had send him was kind of dark so I wasn't sure if he would be able to use it. 2.5 hours later, she was there on my arm. Made me cry after I left. I received very detailed information for after care for my tattoo. After the main tat heals I am going to go back to have some extra work done on it. All the artists in the Sunken Ship do excellent work, and it is worth the wait for your appointment. They are very reasonable in their pricing as well. See more Read Less
