I got to see Reggie Armtrout at Anchored Art and I loved my experience very much. I felt welcome, safe and genuinely a really great experience. The things I loved where that it was so freaking clean in there! I am a germ freak and have been in my fair share of shops that were not as clean as this one. They made every effort to make sure I was comfortable and it was a huge bonus to take my mind off the pokey pokey of needles by watching TV. Everyone was so nice! Even the clients! I also liked that the walls were not filled with tattoo designs and books of tattoos, they were actually filled with ART! It reminded me what I was getting on my arm was an extension of that and I appreciated it more. The sign in and forms that you sign are very well thought out and scream that they care about their clients and their staff. I will definitely be going back and so will my husband. So incredibly impressed and it made something that is going to be on my skin forever and ever that much more of a memory and a good one at that! Came here after getting a bad tattoo that also healed badly. I won't lie, i was a bit nervous just because of how bad it went at the original place i went to get the tattoo but was immediately relieved when Ole came out to look at it & started piecing together ways to fix it without even having to think about it . I am hands down one of the pickiest and most demanding clients a tattoo artist will ever encounter, I choose very detailed work and only let a person tattoo me after I have thoroughly researched, examined their work and get to know them personally.  I've been planning to go to this shop for awhile and now I really wish I had gone in sooner.  I immediately loved the guys at Anchored Art Tattoo, originally I popped in just to set up a consultation with Billy-Jack for two fine-line, detailed tattoos, but lucky for me, while trying to set that up, I started up a conversation with Nate.  Ended up showing Nate an intense tattoo that Ive wanted spruced up, just so happened he had a cancellation, so Nate offered to do the sitting right then and surpassed all of my expectations, finally bringing my idea in my head to the portrait on my foot.  In all honesty, it doesn't seem like you could get a better group of guys, great vide, super relaxed, fun loving and all around great time.  Bonus, Billy-Jack and I were able to have the consult while I was getting touched-up and I got the consult changed to an all day session for my long awaited tattoos (yes, tattoos, go big or go home).  Seriously, this place is fantastic!  Totally at ease, beyond clean/sterile, plenty of ways to be distracted and the most important, just damn talented artists. Each artist has their own style and all are very talented. If an artist you like is booked out, it is totally worth the wait and there is a reason they are so booked because hey truly are artists. By far the best tattoo shop I’ve ever gone to! I had a bad experience with a consultation I had scheduled at a different shop, came here half an hour later and my whole day turned around! They immediately were so much friendlier and willing to work with my brother and I on the sibling tattoos we wanted to get. I love this place. The shop itself is clean and really aesthetically pleasing. The artists are not only friendly and funny but ALL of them pride themselves on the quality of their work. 6 weeks, 4 sessions, 9 hours of work, and I have a half sleeve on my upper arm that I have gotten nothing but compliments on. The owner, Jeremy, contacted me immediately after a not so stellar Google review and offered to take a look and see what he could do. I went in with the ugliest foot tattoo on the planet and Jeremy worked wonders on a covering it up. I have one more session to go before my old tattoo is completely covered, but I already get a ton of complements on Jeremy's coverup work. You can't tell it's a cover up. I got my tattoo about 2-3 months ago with Reggie. I absolutely love it! It's lyrics from my idol Selena Gomez. I was originally going to have it on the front of my wrist, but I decided to go down the side of my arm. I'm so glad he decided that area instead. It's sooo much better! Although you might want to schedule wayyy ahead of time since I had to wait 3 weeks to get mine done, it was still worth the wait. I don't really like the fact that I have to deposit $50 for the tattoo and before the appointment but it goes toward your tattoo so mine costed about $150, as I believe at least. My 18th birthday tattoo was a success. I highly recommend this shop. It's nice and local for people who live in medical lake. Good prices & very clean. I will definitely go back for my next tattoo. I had the privilege of getting my tattoo from Jeremy at Anchored Art and I'm beyond impressed. It is a large piece and took two full sessions to complete it, but you can't be a quality piece of art. No matter where I go, who sees the tattoo people always rave about how nice of a tattoo it is, how nice the line work is and the overall quality. Yelp asks for the price point and I'd say based on the quality I received the price was just right. Remember when getting a tattoo that a cheap tattoo isn't quality, and a quality tattoo isn't cheap. He was really funny, quick witted and personable. He did a great job making sure I was happy before we began. Offered advice and help when I asked. He is an amazing tattoo artist! One poor rating in a sea of five stars is most likely not going to have any effect on their business. Jeremy never once brought up me removing my review off of Yelp, showing he cared more about my memory of the place than what reviews said. If I could give it more stars I would!! I've been wanting another tattoo for awhile now. I live in San Diego and have been searching and searching for that perfect someone! I've visited probably a dozen shops and talked to several artists but I just never felt completely comfortable. A friend of mine went on vacation to Washington and was taken into Anchored Art. She received a beautiful tattoo by an artist there. I knew instantly, by the work and the way she described the place that  I needed to go there! I called the tattoo shop and exchanged a few emails. Then my boyfriend and I decided to take a trip and hoped on a plane to Spokane. We had never been before and didn't know what to expect. It's so freaking beautiful!!! We arrived at the shop, which is in a really cool location. We walked in and the first thing I noticed was how spotless the shop is. It's clean, smells good, is spacious, organized and has the most unique art pieces on the walls. It looks like a gallery. The staff is friendly and fun. Usually there's a certain (uncomfortable) vibe in tattoo shops, but not Anchored Art.  The vibe was cool and calm and very comforting. It is very sanitary. You can tell they take sanitation very seriously. It's actually the only shop I've ever been to where they wear aprons. That is genius. Our appointment was with Jeremy. My boyfriend went first. He got a beautiful "life like" tattoo of a shark on his shoulder. Im not kidding, Jeremy was so detailed. It looks better than the photo that the idea was designed from. You could just tell how much pride he takes. I went next! I was a little nervous about it but the second I sat down and Jeremy showed me what he sketched from my idea, I was totally at ease. I got a flower with writing on my forearm. We chatted throughout the tattooing. Laughing and getting to know each other. When he was done I looked down and my eyes welled with tears, it was more amazing, beautiful and detailed than I would have ever imagined!!!   While my boyfriend got tattooed I decided to get my nose pierced by Elishia. She did a great job and took sanitation very seriously as well. She even showed me that the needle was packaged, made sure I saw the piercing be sterilized and then explained to me how to clean and treat it. I couldn't be happier! We are beyond happy with the art work we both wear. We are so impressed by Anchored Art and Jeremy, that we have already booked October appointments for our next tattoos. I have been tattooed exclusively by Anchored Art Artist Shayne Swenson for almost a decade now and I can honestly say that Anchored Art is the cleanest and most well-ran shop that I have ever been tattooed at. That includes many shops all over the U.S. and even some "bigger" names such as Hart & Huntington in Las Vegas. The staff is extremely professional and are all very talented **Note. I haven't been tattooed by anyone at Anchored other than Shayne but I've seen the other artists' work from hanging out at the shop and they are all exceptional** Another thing I have observed from hanging around the shop a bit is the crew at Anchored, despite their collective top notch work and talent, is very welcoming and do not have the typical "we're too cool for you" type attitude that a lot of shops with great (and not so great) talent tend to develop. They're willing to hear you out and work with you to develop a piece of art you can both be happy putting your name behind. Sure, most of the artists are booked out in advance but you never know when a same-day opening may come up and they won't make you feel like an idiot for asking. It has been quite some time since I was a "newb" at a tattoo shop but I can recall being treated like a second class citizen at several of the shops I got worked on back then. Getting tattooed can be an intimidating experience and I personally admire that the typical air of arrogance isn't alive at Anchored. It's been awhile since my last tattoo, and either shops have changed or this place is setting the bar very high. The shop itself is extremely clean and very nice and upscale. If it weren't for the tattoo guns going off, you would never know you were in a tattoo shop. It feels more like an art gallery. I liked that they didn't have a poster display full of tattoo templates to pick from. They are all about custom designs. I wanted to get a previous tat covered up with something custom and went into another shop in Spokane and was basically told to pick something off the wall and they would stick it on my arm. Not what I was looking for. I emailed anchored art and told them what I was looking for and if they could recommend an artist to have a consult with. The reply had two names, one of those name was Peter Koskela. I looked at his portfolio on the website and decided his style is what I wanted.After talking with him he seemed really excited to do the art and he wanted me to send a few pics of what I liked. He totally nailed it. I sent pictures but he designed an awesome piece. In fact last time I was in to get some more work I just trusted his talent and let him draw on me then tat it up. The guy has tattooed a few famous people but I felt like he gave my tattoo the same enthusiasm as he would have given them. Real down to earth guy.During the few sessions I had in there I was able to see a couple of the artist work. All of them were really good and the people were stoked to have them. Again lots of custom stuff going on. Some of these guys are booked months out so you know they are doing something right.I most definitely recommend Peter, and from what I saw all the artist had some awesome art going on. This place is striving to be a personal, custom, upscale tattoo shop in town and from what I see they are succeeding. I have a little more to do on my sleeve, but I'm already thinking the next one. In the end, these guys are deserving of the opportunity to show you what they can do. I think once you talk with them and see the talent you will be impressed. Read Less
