Bad line work and bad service. It has taken a while to write this review but it is time. I came in to get some simple outline tattoos and he was rude the whole time. It was my first time in a shop so I didn't know if that was just normal. Then his friends came in and they talked the entire time wich I didn't appreciate. At the end of it the lines were not clean and the letters in one of my tattoos came out crooked. After going to a much better tattoo shop I now understand I should not have taken that poor customer service. I would post a photo of the crooked lines if I was able too. Read Less

As an older newlywed couple, we were looking for our first tattoos, something special that would link us together. If you are looking for a quality tattoo, from an honest, talented artist, Sean is a great person to go to at Phantom. The shop is very clean, full of traditional flash art on the walls. Sean is a great guy to get tattooed by. He helped fix a pin up girl for me on my back and far exceeded my expectations on how she turned out. Plus has done a large roses and birds piece on arm. I'm completely happy with both, and definitely the fastest healing time of any tattoos I've had!! Just don't go in there with no idea what you want. I don't write a lot of reviews but am compelled to do so after a great experience. I visited Sean on a Tuesday after being flaked out on by another local artist. I came in with some pictures and a very scatter brained thought process. After a miserable attempt to communicate what I had in my head, he far exceeded my expectations, and drew a beautiful representation of what I wanted.  He was able to fit both me and my sister in on the following Friday and although I felt I was burdening him with such short notice, he was very relaxed and chill about everything. I have had a lot of work done elsewhere and this was by far the best experience I've had. Very humble dude with a great skill set. I look forward to working with him in the future and would absolutely recommend stopping in and chatting with him if you're wanting work done. Read Less

This is basically a "retro" review as I haven't had Sean tattoo me in a few years, but I have sent everyone who asks me about where to get ink to Sean.  That being said Sean has done all of my ink except for 1 (when I was overseas).I wouldn't go to anyone else and I wouldn't send anyone to anyone else either.  I am planning on getting some more work done in a month (or whenever Sean can get me in) and of course I will be going to Sean.  There isn't even a second choice in my opinion.  It's either this guy or nobody!!No matter what idea I have in my head, when Sean draws it up it is ALWAYS better than the idea I had!! As a "collector", I have quite a few tattoos on me from various artists from Reno to San Francisco, so I am pretty fickle about who I let put a needle on me.  After looking at multiple portfolios in and around Centralia, I went to Phantom to look at artist, Sean's stuff.      After I did and after a brief conversation about the artist who did the print on my shirt, I decided this was the guy to do my next idea, which was an 80s tattoo that showed the juxtaposition of the USA and Russia during the cold war:  Heathcliff as Rocky Balboa and Papa Smurf as Ivan Drago of the backs of my arms.  Yes it sounds ludicrous but people who know me know I am all about ludicrous.  Plus I like having something only other 80s kids would understand.  Sean didn't judge or opinion-ate on my idea, he simply whipped it up and in a couple weeks I came back in and had it done(with a long interlude between getting the Heathcliff part and the Papa Smurf part.)  The thing I liked best was that the images he came up with looked better than the idea I had in my head, and that is always a plus and I never felt like I was getting ripped off.  As for Sean himself, he is an interesting guy who has some great stories about contemporary  tattoo history and the area in general itself, and a pretty good taste in music to boot so it's never a dull experience getting inked by him.  Hope to again soon. Sean is a joke. If I could give less than a 1 star I would. I went in there 2 months ago with a idea for a half sleeve. We talked about some ideas about the tattoo and I have him a $100 depot for it. His first drawing that he came up with wasn't what I was looking for. After that he got a attitude. He kept belittling my ideas about the tattoo. Also at the same time giving me gilt trips about why it is taking so long to get a second drawing done. He does do good work, I will give him that. But in my opinion he is just a tracer not a real tattoo artist. If you are walking down tower street and want some flash art then I am sure he will do a good tattoo. But of you want something original then go else where. He will take your deposit then procrastinate and will try to make you feel bad because you don't like what he drew. Really wonder how a guy like this can have a tattoo shop this long with this kind of service. Read Less

We stand behind our work without a hint of attitude about what kind of design you want. WE DO IT ALL! We don't have deals, specials, "half-off because yer Mama let you watch too much tv and you think you deserve a deal" deals, because honestly the quality of work you receive from the artists at Phantom Tattoo is worth every penny...and then some. This place is by far the best I've seen in our little town. They do awesome work. I've all but one tattoo done here. Shaun, Corey, and Bree all do great work. I've had one from each of them. Some might see their price, $110 an hour, as too high... And could easily go down the road and get one for $60 an hour. Well the old saying "you get what you pay for" is true. Pay $60 and have fading, blotchy work done. Pay $110 and have an awesome tattoo that will not need any touch up. I spent 5 hours in the chair twice here. And each time I was 100% happy with the product. If you are going to have something on your body FOREVER than you should make sure its done properly. These guys are the best. Read Less
