He cares about the long term wear and tear your ink will have, tanning, swimming, ageing. He makes sure to analyse how it will look in different places and will give educated and experienced suggestions so you don't walk around for the rest of your life with something that just looks badly placed or colored. I chose this shop because of some dirt I heard about the other local tattoo shop. I went into Ric's to receive my first tattoo. He was a super nice and he seemed excited for me. He drew up a picture of what I wanted and we went from there. I got a small evergreen tree and the detail was amazing. I heard that rib tattoos are one of the most painful places to get tatted but with Ric it didn't hurt as much as I thought it would. The tattoo has healed up nicely. When he finished the piece I got to ring a bell that is hung up for all those who receive their first tattoo. He calls it the "Virgin Bell". I got a tattoo done in 2010 from a guy name Leo, which he re did and added a flower and color to.. Wow such a mess. I shortly got pregnant after so couldn't get it fixed, then I was nursing which you also can't get a tattoo while nursing, so now 2016 I called another tattoo shop wanting to cover up this horrible piece and the guy said to contact Ric and ask for them to cover it. Well work is only guaranteed for 1 year!! Honestly if my shop did such a crappy job and understanding someone's situation I would have offered to help in some way!! After dealing with migraines for over 10 year's and multiple visits to doctors to try and find out what was causing them I was prescribed different medications with no success. The only thing that really gave me relief was taking Tylenol and Advil, but when you have to take it almost daily it is not good for you. After doing some research for different methods of migraine relief I found that people have been the cartilage towards the center of the ear pierced. I went in to painless Ric's and Ric did it himself. I had a migraine when I went and as soon as he was finished my migraine was gone and I have not had another one since. I will not go to any other shop no matter where i happen to be living, and would not recommend any other place to anyone else. Everyone is friendly, they have a great sense of humor, and both Boomer and Ric do amazing work. the customer is their #1 priority and you will never leave disappointed. I when there to look at there people, shop, and to get a feel for there Art, It was clean and the people where nice. I?m not able to get a tattoo tell December but they still where willing to help me with what I want and cost. The tattoo artists are friendly and truthful. Me and my mom moved up here about 2 years ago. We have been searching for a clean tattoo studio with nice artist (no rock star attitudes or druggies) and real talent. We found all that and more at Painless Rics Tattoo. Painless Ric and Boomer went above and beyond the call of duty. Both being very gracious and funny! I have three tattoo's all done at Rick's. Each time I'm even more impressed. The service is great. Rick is super nice and all the guys have insane artistic skills. My first tattoo was on my 18th bday, and almost 6 years later the color is still awesome. Their artists come and go, but that seems to be with all tattoo parlors. I recieved my first tat when I was 29 years old. With this being my first tat I was very scared and didnt know what to expect( I am very afraid of needles). Tony, who is now no longer with Painless Ric's had done my first one, which is a beautiful butterfly. He talked with me through the whole process. Tony got me ""hooked"" on tats and I am now going to have him do my second one, which will be 2 roses with more detail than the butterfly(I have a lot more courage being around needles now). The staff at Painless Ric's were very understanding and answered all of my questions and now I no longer have a fear of needles. It was a very relaxed atmosphere and friendly people too! Ric was recommended by a previous customer and I am sure glad I took the advice. When you walk in to a shop with thousands of examples of tattoos, it can be overwhelming. I want my tattoos to reflect who I am and what my life is about, not some dime store photo copy with a thousand others walking around with it. Ric listened, he looked at my choice then used his artistic talent to taylor it to reflect me. I am now planning my next tattoo with Ric and so is my husband. I was surprised to see two negative reviews of Rick's. It was recommended to me for my first tattoo and I've since gone back for a second. Their shop extremely clean and my tattoos are colorful and beautifully done. I hightly recommend it. Keep in mind that these guys are artists and may not always have the greatest customer service skills. What really matters is that their art, which will be on your body forever, is stunning.
