I first learned of Squid back in 2011-2012 at the Hawaii tattoo convention. He was winning some of the top awards at the Show. I heard the announcer say he was from Seattle...I was shocked! Ever since he's been one of my favorite tattoo artist in the world. Even after I've traveled all over the world to different tattoo conventions. Squid himself texted me a few hours later and set up a consultation for me to go see him, design the tattoo and leave a deposit. We then scheduled my tattoo. I went and had a Memorial portrait done on my left shoulder on my back. Squid was the one that did it and it was like being in a place and talking to somebody that knew what they were doing and could ask him any question and he would know. He's also super friendly and asked about my personal life while doing my tattoo so I wasn't so nervous. Before we even started my tattoo, a few days before when I first set up the appointment he told me to eat before I came in and I didn't ...listen to him, and he noticed towards the end of finishing up my tattoo that I was shaking so he had me call my parents to bring up some food and some juice for after everything was done so I didn't pass out. I would definitely go back, I am actually trying to think of ideas of a cover up tattoo that I can have the shop do.
