Don't go anywhere else for your tattoo or piercing needs. I had my brow pierced by Keir & I can't even begin to tell you what an amazing experience I had. I knew Smitty's Place Tattoo by reputation but had never had any work done there. Keir did such an amazing job that, LOL, I keep forgetting that my brow was pierced at all. He's very clean & gentle as you would expect. He took his time to get my brow marked & he understands the aesthetics of placement. He marked it perfectly & pierced quickly & smoothly. He's also very, very detailed about after care. I also liked the fact that once done, he didn't rush me out of the chair. Seemed genuinely concerned that I was doing okay & being paid seemed like an after thought to him. He made it all about me. This place is awesome. I just got my first tattoo done here and i am so happy i chose this shop. Kier did my tattoo and its beautiful. He put a lot of work and detail in to his artwork. The shop was clean and everyone was welcoming, i was pretty nervous but they did a good job of helping me relax and they play great music too. Ill be coming back for more. I love my tattoo! I was stationed up in Bremerton from 2006-2009. Smitty's had the relaxing friendly environment I was looking. I had gotten all my art done there but one. Bonnie did my two names and my star. Jesse did my amazing praying hands with sacred heart in Gray wash and one day the only man Smitty asked me what I was looking for that day and I told him I wanted a real vintage style mine heart. He told me to sit in his chair and I remember getting excited as all hell to get one from Smitty himself. Amazing people and AMAZING work. Got my very first tattoo done here about 2 years ago by the AMAZING Jesse D. And about 6 months ago I got more work done by him. Let's just say, this man is so good I flew up from California just to see him for my second tattoo because I refuse to let anyone else work on me. HIS WORK IS THAT GOOD.This place is the best place to go if you wanna get a tattoo. All the artists there are talented, and put the customers wants and needs first. They are extremely friendly and make you feel welcome the second you walk in.The shop is clean and sanitary, and the artists are very professional when it comes to using the proper protective equipment. Everything is sterile and gloved up. Nothing is ever out of place or left a mess. Even their bathroom is extremely clean (Which is an extra plus)!If you're thinking about getting a tattoo, Smittys is the place to go. The artists are willing to sit down with you and make your ideas become reality. You can bet that I'll be flying up to Washington from California again when I want to get more work done! Read Less

I LOVE all the artists at Smittys Place. They are all incredibly talented and dedicated. All of my tattoo work is either done by Miss Bonnie or her father, Smitty. I know I can always trust her to make me a peice of artwork that is tailored to be fit for me. I know that I will always be worked on in a clean, sterile environment with people who know what they are doing and want to make sure that everyone is satisfied with the final product. At Smittys they are not the kind of people to nickle and dime you to squeeze every last session out of you over a big peice. If you can handle sitting for a 4 - 5 session you can get a longer session there. Its not about the money, its about the artwork, which if you go down and just look at their books or the facebook, that alone can stand out. The only thing is, like any good shop, they are busy and things can get going. So keep that in mind if you walk in and no one gets to you right away. :) Best tattoo shop in Bremerton. Read Less

Jesse D did my tattoo, and the experience was amazing. Never having a tattoo, I came in there with a base Idea of what I wanted, and Jesse made it even better than I thought possible. He handled me being nervous getting a huge thigh piece as a first tat very well, his lines are so clean and crisp even though Im sure i was shaking like a Chihuahua. I constantly get compliments on my tattoo. I can't wait to finish it. I always suggest Smittys when people ask where to get tattoos. Really clean shop. Read Less

I hate to do this, because I do love Smitty... when I lived here 8 years ago and he still had his shop on 6th I got a beautiful tattoo for a great price... but recently I came back for a birthday tattoo... I was committed to spending nearly 200 for the simple tattoo that I wanted, so when the artist quoted me considerably less I felt pretty lucky. Well that's where my luck ran out, not only did he make me sit around for nearly 2 hours, each time he brought me the draw up for my tattoo I was less than impressed... I should have just taken the loss of my deposit and left, but I felt like he was doing me a favor. Each time he tried to fix it he came back about 20 min later with not much difference. He said the final piece would look much better and it didn't. Over all I am  not ashamed of the piece, it is ok, but I still feel like it's not what I really wanted and it's probably partly my fault for not speaking up, but artists sometimes have that air about them like you're insulting them by asking for something different. It's my body though, right? Ultimately one artist doesn't represent a shop, and I think Smitty has some really talented people working for him, but make sure that you know what you're getting and you get what you pay for. I've been utterly devoted to "my" tattoo artist on the eastside for years, so naturally I was nervous going someplace new. But I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and care I got here. Jesse took great pride in my tattoo, even if it was a dorky foot tattoo. He took the time to redraw it into something that was way awesomer than I had expected.
