I had a tattoo from Chantelle a few years ago. She did a super shitty job! I still have blue ink down my arm where there is no tattoo. Tried to give her the benefit of the doubt. When I called and ask her about a month after. Thinking it will go way. Maybe a bruise. She told me that there nothing she could do. No reason or anything! Then I went to set up an appointment for my son to have one completed for his birthday. Advised that I wanted to set one up with Whitney. She advised me to have my son bring in his ID. She quickly walked away before I could ask anything. So I asked the receptionist my son is still in high school can he bring his student ID. She told me yes. (I'm older) had no idea that the law has changed to where you can no longer allow your child under the age of 18 with parents consent to get tattooed. We show up to find out we were scheduled with Chantelle and not Whitney. I didn't say a word. Didn't want to make a sene and embarrass my son. She asked for his ID he gave her is student ID. She asked how old he was he said almost 18. She said we can't tattoo you. I asked why. She was supper shitty and said because he isn't 18. I said oh, I didn't realize the law changed. Very nastily she said it's been that way ever since I've been doing tattoos. I said ok. Maybe you might want to inform all of your staff. Cause when I asked if my son could use his student ID. The receptionist told us yes. I'd advised her he was still in high school. She replied, I don't know anyone that would tell you that. She refused to refund the $100 deposit or allow us to use that $100 towards a new appointment after he turned 18. That part came from Whitney!! I will never step foot in this place again! There are plenty of other really great tattoo artists that I would rather go to!! Also one last thing! When you work so close to your clients; you probably shouldn't smell like you've hot boxes in the car smoking for 30 minutes before you meet your client.

Love these talented ladies, not only have I been inked here, I also send my clients to get tatted either with Chantelle or Whitney. My clients and I understand how long the wait would be, meaning months or a year. I get super excited when my clients come back to me and show me the ink they received from these ladies. Simple fact is follow the rules, put your deposit, and be responsible, at least make a call the night before to touch base to confirm your appointment.

There are obviously talented people here, but their personalities and lack of help were beyond enough to make me want to go elsewhere. I went into this shop to do a consult and see if they would be willing to do two forearm tattoos on me that I wanted pulled together into a half-sleeve.I went in January of this year and saw Whitney in the middle of doing a tattoo, two other employees/friends chatting with her, and another girl at the computer up at the front playing with fonts for a tattoo. I walked up to the counter and the girl on the computer asked me what I needed without even looking at me. Rude but whatever, not a huge deal. I showed her what I was hoping to get, she glanced at it, looked back at the computer, and said the inner one will cost $500, the outer one will cost $1,000 and our earliest available appointment is in 11 months. Then Whitney chimed in and said they can't be put into a half-sleeve.... What? She literally didn't even look at the pictures.These first two tattoos would (generously) take three hours combined. I know because I got them done somewhere else and it took him 45 minutes to do the first one and just under two hours to the the second one. They cost me $500 TOTAL and they are beautiful. I understand tattoos being costly considering you're paying for quality of work for something that will be on your body forever. But holy shit. I am slightly grateful for their shitty attitudes though because it led me to the artist I see now. He just did my third tattoo since the shitty Paradox consult 6 months ago and I couldn't be happier. And to top it off, we already have my appointment scheduled to finish the half-sleeve because unlike the employees at Paradox, he is an actual artist and worked with me to create what I wanted.

I think there is a difference between being straight forward and having a shit attitude. I went in for a consultation and Chontelle was the only one available although I much prefer Whitney's work. She treated me like shit as she evaluated what I wanted. I get it.. tattoos are high demand these days so you can treat people however you want. If you are looking for a tattoo and want to go here- I would wait for whitney as an artist. She has a 150 person cancellation list- while Chontelle has 30. If that tells you anything.

Currently in the middle of getting my half sleeve with Whitney and this has been my greatest tattoo experience ever. I've had 2 sessions so far and 1 more scheduled and each time I go in it's always a fun time. The whole staff is very funny and it really helps to keep your mind off of the tattoo pain. They seem like they get along so well there and they're a good team that makes their customers feel welcomed. From now on, this is where I'm getting all of my tattoos!

I really enjoyed the professionalism and artistic ability of Whitney and her crew. Her work is outstanding and phenomenal. She is thoughtful, and treats her customers with respect. She had scheduled me an appointment after a long sitting, so I appreciate her time and candor. The conversations in her shop are light and funny, and the entire crew there makes you feel at home. My tattoo came out BETTER than anticipated which is always a wonderful surprise.

Chentelle is an incredible artist, hilarious, and super straightforward about what will and will not look good. What more could you want?Truth be told, I, personally, didn't get the tattoo, but my husband did. However, I was there for each session and found Paradox Tattoo when I was looking for an artist for my own work.The piece we wanted was rather complex and required several sessions as it was practically a half sleeve. It was a page of art from the St. John's Illuminated Bible. Chentelle was awesome with the consult, saying very clearly what would be different as we were going from print to ink. Each session was exciting because things looked better and better each time. Sitting with Chentelle was great. She is kind and funny, and it was a pleasure to meet her. Seeing all of her work only increased my respect for her skill as an artist. It was also easy to communicate with her via email/website. Because she is amazing, there is a good chance you won't be able to just walk in and get her (who knows, you may). However, it's a sign of a good artist when they are booked out pretty far.The place was always clean, and Chentelle always followed proper cleaning procedures.We will definitely be back for future work. We had a great experience here!

There are obviously talented people here, but their personalities and lack of help were beyond enough to make me want to go elsewhere. She treated me like shit as she evaluated what I wanted. I get it.. tattoos are high demand these days so you can treat people however you want. Currently in the middle of getting my half sleeve with Whitney and this has been my greatest tattoo experience ever. I've had 2 sessions so far and 1 more scheduled and each time I go in it's always a fun time. The whole staff is very funny and it really helps to keep your mind off of the tattoo pain. They seem like they get along so well there and they're a good team that makes their customers feel welcomed. From now on, this is where I'm getting all of my tattoos!

Because she is amazing, there is a good chance you won't be able to just walk in and get her (who knows, you may). However, it's a sign of a good artist when they are booked out pretty far.The place was always clean, and Chentelle always followed proper cleaning procedures.We will definitely be back for future work. We had a great experience here!

People were friendly but you pay by the hour and you're a sucker if you pay someone hourly, artwork is great but the artists are a little heavy handed.
