Unfortunately it's not possible to give a place 0 stars. I went in and was told my belly button is incapable of being pierced due to anatomical reasons, which I totally understood, but a comment about my stomach being shown in front of people made me slightly uncomfortable. More than a few Google searches and medical articles later I discovered that, not only is my belly button completely able to be pierced, it's one of the easier shapes and sizes to pierce. It made me feel very insecure about my size and I was extremely offended that after lying to me about my belly button I was offered many other much more expensive piercings that were centered around my face rather than any other part of my body. Just got a nose piercing done by Natalie. She was absolutely wonderful! I didn't know which side I wanted my piercing, and she looked at my nose and decided what she thought was best based on my face, and did the same with placement as well. She is very precise and I had confidence in her that she would do a good job. I was also hesitant about getting my piercing, and she handled me perfectly. Everyone working there was very helpful and kind as well. Only downside is that the cleaning solution is not included in the price of the piercing, which I didn't expect. THE place for people who don't like the pissed off "tattoo and piercing with attitude" culture. I've had my fair share of piercings, and been met with lethargic distance when greeted at a parlor. Chameleon Ink, however, is great. They're engaging, ask you lots of questions, and make their best effort to make you feel comfortable; getting pierced or tattooed can be scary! Recently, I went in to redo my 2nd lobes, as my first ones had closed, and the piercer was careful, listened to what my preferences were, and talked me through what she was going to do. I really want to like this shop, and have no input as to their tattoos, but every time I've come here for piercing services, I feel deeply disappointed and used as a patron. I came a few months ago (like November 2017) and wanted my nostril hoop changed. When the girl was putting it in (it wasn't Denali, but a new girl), she broke the ball off. She mentioned it to me but said she'd just make it tight and I was like whatever. About two weeks later, I had to remove it and let the hole close due to the jewelry having exposed nickel, which I'm allergic to. I had bought the jewelry elsewhere, but having broken a piece, I feel as though it should've been caught that there was exposed metal. Today I went in to get my nostril repierced, and was again with the newer piercer, and I don't even know how to explain this. We went back to see if it was still open or if it needed to be pierced again. She stretched out the hole, but in the process cut part of my nostril, and I have a chunk of skin missing right next to my hole. In what felt like three different times of extreme pressure, she hadn't gotten the jewelry in, so I decided to just leave. I got home, and was able to put my own jewelry in effortlessly. Got my first tattoo done by Shawn and while we still have some more work to be done after it heals (because I accidentally got a cut on my arm prior to the tattoo the first result came out amazing and I will be back for more while I'm in bellingham. I decided to get my first tattoo here, and while it was great, and the people were very nice, it was outrageously overpriced.  I was absolutely ripped-off, and will not be going back.  I decided to try another place in Bellingham for my second, and the tattoo is at least 3 times as large as my first one, and was 30 dollars less.  Great atmosphere, but really overpriced. I just walked in one day because I had taken out my septum and needed help getting the jewelry back in. The piercing had closed up slightly so Denali had to ease a smaller gauge  jewelry in using a taper, all the while making sure I was comfortable during the process. Over all, I couldn't be happier! I got my nose pierced Wednesday and I am so happy with it. Denali Dawn is the best person ever. She saved me money by piercing my nose were I used to have it pierced before to save me money. She could of just did a new pierced and took more money out of me but she didn't. That made me really happy. And she was so gentle it didn't Hart at all. ABSOLUTELY THE BEST PIERCING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! I have tons of tattoos and have been pierced many times, this was the greatest experience. I went to Chameleon to get a tattoo about three weeks ago from Cami. I think she is an apprentice or something because she seemed so young. I went to this shop because yelp had good reviews but apparently not for this artist. It is the worst tattoo and i am so ashamed to have it on my body. The lines are so crooked and since it's a tattoo on each ankle, they don't match at all. I am going to Old Gold to have it redone. The owner of Chameleon has agreed to give me a refund. I am honestly surprised to read some reviews about the atmosphere being unfriendly and rude. I had a great experience at Chameleon! The interactions I have had with the staff here have always been great - both on the phone and in person. I wasn't entirely sure what piercing I wanted, so I stopped in to get some advice before making a decision. I was greeted pleasantly by Heather who answered a bunch of my questions then referred me to Denail (head piercer) for more indepth questions. Both of them were patient, friendly, and gave great info and suggestions based on my anatomy and other existing piercings. I went back a week later and got my daith pierced by Denali. She was very professional and did an amazing job. It is obvious that she is very good at what she does. It couldn't have been a better piercing experience. She told me the daith was the most painful of the cartiledge piercings (which I had also heard from others) but because she is so amazing, it was fast and barely hurt at all! Before getting my piercing done at chameleon ink, I went to a lot of other tattoo and piercing shops and chameleon was far by the best. All their staff are so friendly and make you feel so comfortable.it also felt very clean and sanitary which is always a good thing. They also helped me calm my nerves about my belly button piercing and talked me through the whole thing. Along with my piercing my boyfriend and a friend got tattoos there. professional, clean and knowledgeable but i felt a little rushed when i went in to get my septum pierced the other day... it was my first piercing ever and i felt like i was being rushed through the process and was not given sufficient information. more importantly, i was also told "everything" was included in the price for the piercing but only after i was pierced didn't i find out aftercare solution wasn't included in the "everything" price and had to buy it seperatly. i love the piercing and technically the shop did wonderfully, but i felt it was overpriced and lacking information. the piercing is great, again, but I won't be returning because of the price and lack of information. After walking into many local shops to be told no on the design I wanted, Todd with complete confidence said no problem. I showed up for my appointment he had the stencil drawn out and ready. I got my first tattoo here done by Shelly and I love it! I chose this place because it was open and light, and didn't feel dark and scary. My consultation was really helpful and really helped me figure out what I want for sure (a heart entwined triangle on my shoulder) and even added an idea of getting color too. My appointment took only 20 minutes and Shelly made me feel comfortable and confident. My after care process was so much more simple than I thought with only one retouch needing to be done. My experience at Chameleon was more than just an expressive one, it was a healing one. By the powers that be of the Universe, I was fortunate enough to have an exceptional artist named Chris  randomly have an open availability due to a 'no show' as I arrived, and I feel so lucky he did. He and I vibed from the start, and the more we got to talking the more I realized he was the perfect match for me and my vision. I had recently had my little brother pass away right before his 21st birthday, and in starting my healing process, I wanted to honor him with something he was very much about; Tattoos. Being someone who has only had one other tattoo in her life, I knew this was a big deal and I could tell by Chris' demeanor and discourse, he knew it too. The level of detail, care, artistic appreciation, and respect for the cause was apparent the whole time. And the piece he left me with speaks more than words can say. Two separate reviews: I went in to ask about a tattoo with a moderately simple design. The guy there said something about "difficult angles" and said it would be $150 minimum (for reference, this was a Greek letter and a state symbol about 3.5 inches in diameter - yeah, I'm basic, whatever). I don't know if he was messing with me or just really untalented, either way, pretty lame.2nd time: my girlfriend had gotten an ear piercing in Seattle and it was pretty badly swollen. She was visiting me and we were near Chameleon so we stopped in for some advice on it. The girl there told us that it was really badly infected and that she'd have to cut it out of here ear and offered to do it right then and there. When my girlfriend said she would like to think about it, the piercer kept pressuring her to let her cut it out of her ear.The following week my girlfriend went back to the original piercer and they changed the back - it was healing up nicely within a week (as well as a hole in your ear heals up anyways).In summary: tattoo artists trying to scam people on bro-y tattoos and wannabe surgeons. At first when you come into the store, the staff is not friendly at all. My friend and I actually wanted to leave because of this lady that worked there was completely rude. We stuck around because we really wanted to get pierced. After we were in the chair, she finally lightened up a bit and it was much more pleasant.
