This tattoo and piercing place was so welcoming. I went to get my tragus pierced, which is a part on the ear, and my piercer, Ren, was absolutely amazing. Ren was so calming and professional since I was a little scared. The front desk woman was very nice and calming as well. Everything is very clean and I haven't had any ear problems since my piercing a couple days ago. The pricing was pretty decent considering it is located in Bellevue. The only difficulty I had with Skin and Soul was parking and just finding the entrance in general. Parking is very limited and since their entrance is somewhat hidden behind the Rite Aid, it was hard to find for a while. Overall though, I had an amazing experience. Read Less

Came here on my birthday with a friend to get some ear piercings impulsively. I have gotten piercings here before, and my mom has gotten a few tattoos here so I already knew it was great. They moved locations to a bigger place it seems but it is pretty difficult to find. It's to the right of the Rite Aid in a hole in the wall but it opens up to a big place once inside.I was so nervous I felt sick haha I'm such a baby. My friend had to go first because I didn't know what I wanted. I had an idea but wasn't sure if it would work. I talked it over with Lauren the piercer and she assured me she could do it.I got my double forward helix and she spaced it out so I could get a third later on! Me and my friend came into here yesterday to get our tongues pierced, I had never been here or heard of it but I'm so glad my friend showed me this place. The shop is very clean and organized, has a huge variety of jewelry that's all so beautiful and the employees are super friendly. I forget the girl who pierced us but i was super nervous and she helped me calm down and assured me I would be okay and could handle it, if I didn't have her I probably would have backed out. After the piercing I was a little dizzy and the other employees gave me Gatorade and were fanning me making sure I wasn't going to faint, I appreciate them so much and I'm glad I found my new place next time I want another piercing or tattoo. I went here to get my navel (belly button) pierced about a month ago. I called before hand and told them that I was coming but the wait time took FOREVER and the front desk woman was rude. I was happy with my piercing but it kept bleeding and the piercer did nothing to help clean up the blood. I bought a piece of jewlery for my ear less than four months ago and it wasn't cheap. It looked beautiful with rose gold medal and a shiny gem. Well two months later it looks like I got it out of a coin machine at the grocery store for a quarter... I'm meticulous about caring and cleaning my jewelry and piercings. I never showered with it in, and it fell apart. I would find pieces of peeled off rose gold colored paint-like shreds all over and the gem looks nothing like it did before. I'm extremely disappointed as i was assured it was a sturdy piece and would not fade for a very long time. Well two months later and I have to toss it.... I will never be back to this shop. Amazing tattoo shop. I have spend over 4 years looking for an artist I trusted to do my mom's memorial tattoo. It is a beach scene full of color. Me and Micheal really hit it off, and he is the first artist I felt I could relate to and actually trusted to do such an important piece for me. I had my tattoo done with Brittany. She took great care to incorporate what I wanted with her own flair. When I saw the final sketch at the shop I was completely blown away. The tattooing was quick and easy. I had a friend with me who was doing her tattoo with Brittany right after, so we all had a nice chat. That was two weeks ago, and now my tattoo is healing well. Had a long (4+) hour session that I booked over a month in advance. Then they booked someone else for a small little tattoo - right in the middle of my session.But mistakes happen, should be an easy fix, right? Nope. I alerted the scheduler and the artist both to the mix-up over a week before the session, and nobody thought to do anything to fix it.So I show up and the artist starts talking about maybe doing a different tattoo so he can make the schedule work.. I made it clear that I was here to get the tattoo I had scheduled at the time I'd scheduled it, but still no attempt to even make it right from anyone. I finally agreed to let them cut into my session just because I was tired of wasting so much time just looking at the clock waiting for them to do the right thing.So we get on with my tattoo, and his next appointment arrives, and I get up and let them do their thing. During my break, I look down and my tattoo is nothing like what I asked for. It straight up looked bad.Either of these issues I may have put up with, but all that bullshit at once was too much for me. I left after the other appointment was finished, without ever finishing mine.Now I need to find someone to do a salvage piece on the biggest botched tattoo I've ever seen.If you're a pretty young lady and you want some shop minimum lettering, by all means go here - they'll even kick out other patrons to accommodate you. I am leaving this review because of the wrong information that I was given. I went in to have my ears pierced and called before hand as I am still breast-feeding. I was told that they would do piercings On a woman who is breast-feeding but not tattoos. When I got there to check in and tell them that I had called in previously, the woman at the desk said that they would not do it and she was not sure who I had spoken with. I showed her the phone number on my phone and she confirmed that it was the correct phone number however they would not pierce my ears. It is very frustrating to be told one thing over the phone and then be told something else when you go in. My friend and I got our first tattoos here, and the entire experience was really great! We were pretty nervous going in, but our tattoo artist Brad was very kind and friendly and eager to work with us. He explained the entire process and was more than willing to make changes to our requested designs. He also made sure to take it slowly and carefully so we weren't too freaked out. Did the worst job possible. Ask them to cover up my star tattoo with a Pyramide and a pharaoh. Looks worse than before and will be very hard to fix now. (Added a photo, the one with 3 small pyramids and and one big one below with an eye in it ). Also I asked him to put the eye of Horus in it and he just put a regular eye in it and without asking me. never go there. He took 8 hours for the whole thing which other places could have done within 3 hours. Very bad experience. It was michol or whatever his name is back in June 2016. The people here are extremely rude. I bought a couple pieces of jewelry and the girls at the counter couldn't be bothered to help. I asked to see some of the piercings and they told me to wait a minute and continued whatever story they were telling each other. Never got any eye contact, she mumbled her way thru the transaction. It was pretty obvious that they saw me as a nuisance. By the way the paint on the piercing I got is already peeling off and I've had it less than 2 weeks. Money well spent. Good piercing job but just prepare for ZERO customer service from piercer with long hair and beard he had to go to bank so we waited 30 minutes, no greeting or handshake when he arrived just asked if we were ready and when trying to take a picture of MY nephew alone he yelled no videos or photos allowed in the room which worried me of sanitation issues or if he's a wanted man but to not embarrass my nephew I left it alone. So they don't have the best price nor close to acceptable customer service but the piercing came out good. Just go up the street in all honesty only reason we didn't go was because they're piercer was at a convention till thursday. Guess the experience is just committed to memory. Went to Skin and Soul on a whim with a couple friends to get cartilage piercings. They were able to get us in with no appointment. One cartilage piercing cost $50 (stud or hoop included). Two cost $90 -so a bit of a discount if you get more than one. The piercer had been doing this for 17 years. He was quick, considerate, and professional. Very sanitary too. Used needles for the piercings. Was impressed with the cleanliness of the shop. Lots of cool art work and designs -not over the top and not too grungy or creepy.  Only area of improvement was they staff could've been more friendly. Read Less

A week ago I walked into Skin and Soul with a quest fit for only the best. I asked of this man, Wil Spaedt to tattoo not only myself, but my aunt and my mother in one giant cluster fuck of a session. He agreed. Yesterday I had my first session with Wil.... Wil's station was clean; he was ready; so professional. I knew when I finally sat in his chair and he started to work on my arm piece that he was the artist for me and we began to discuss our future projects together. I was nervous, I hadn't been inked in 5 years. I feared that my etiquette was incorrect and that asking to service such a group of three would be so inconsiderate. Wil did a really wonderful job. He rose to the challenge and made my whole party feel welcome ( including my sister and mother in law who showed up to watch us get tattoos) After he tattoo'd me twice he prepared to tattoo my family members. He took great care of us, and if you asked me for an artist in the 425; there would be no one else I'd recommend but Wil Spaedt. I went in yesterday for my first tattoo and I couldn't be happier. I have bad anxiety and was scared I would feel out of place, but I felt like I was with friends! Brad was super friendly and made me feel comfortable throughout the appoinment. I was a big wimp about it but he was very understanding. He offered me water and I was even given a hair tie! As a girl that's a big plus ;) Everyone here is so nice! The shop itself is pretty big, stocked with good quality equipment. On Monday I came into this shop to ask what was offered to help hide the piercing. They offer clear plastic retainers that would be great for hiding it when needed. The woman I was working with gave me excellent advice explaining that plastic wasn't ideal for healing and to keep the plastic piece in as little... as possible, with the metal piece in the rest of the time. Most importantly though, they explained that because my piercing was so new, it wasn't a good idea or even really feasible to replace the jewelry. The hole hadn't healed enough to become structurally sound enough for replacement. She advised that I not try it for at least a couple weeks. I really appreciated that there wasn't a huge push to get you to purchase and that she really seemed to want to do what was best for me and my nose. I will definitely be returning because of that. This pertains to the piercer only. I called at noon and asked if they had a piercer working today. The nice gallery that answered the phone said "yes, he starts at 1230" I sa8d great and started towards thier business. I got there at 1228 and was told "he's supposed to be here at 1230 so if you want to have a seat you will be first". I took a seat... 1240 rolls around the nice gal says "he's supposed to be here, I sent him a tex". She shortly states after "he says he's almost here". Well at 1:05 I finally left and there were two people behind me waiting for him. If the inconsiderate piercer would have just said I'm going to be late and what time he was going to arrive I wouldn't have been so upset but this really irritated me. I could have found another place and not wasted 40 minutes of my time for nothing. I absolutely LOVE getting tattooed at Skin & Soul. I have 8 tattoos, 5 of which have been done at Skin & soul by Will (and they are by far the best ones!). Such a relaxed and friendly environment, accommodating and welcoming staff and of course, immensely talented tattoo artists. Will has done an absolutely beautiful job on all of my tattoos, and I have brought and referred my sisters and best friends and they have had nothing but praises to sing about the entire experience. Shaun used low-quality jewelry; It was externally threaded and the complete wrong jewelry for this particular piercing.  He didn't evenly space my forward helix piercings. He wore one pair of gloves and used ONE needle to pierce all three holes! I'm extremely disappointed. I went to two well trusted piercing shops hoping they could either change the jewelry or add in a fourth piercing to make it look even, but they both said I would need to take the jewelry out because due to the angle the piercing was made it would make  healing a very long and painful process, and it most likely wouldn't heal properly. I asked if I could leave one or two in but that would make re-piercing very difficult due to the spacing, so I had to take all three out. Now I need to let it heal, and then in a month get it re-pierced. I went in to Skin and Soul to complain, and the owner told me to come back the next day to talk to Shaun. I came in, he was very rude and said that the TWO piercing shops, that said the same thing, just wanted to take my money. The people at Deep Roots were extremely polite, helpful, they listened to all of my concerns, and didn't even charge me to take the jewelry out, or try to sell me anything. Shaun also boasted that he had been a piercer for 16 years and knew what he was doing. Well George W. Bush has been in politics for over 20 years and still started two unnecessary wars--experience doesn't necessarily equate to ability. I must give them some credit, because they did give me a "full" refund, which was $30 less of what I originally spent. Thankfully I looked at the receipt and pointed this out to them, and they fixed their mistake. While I appreciate the refund, I will not be going back, and I encourage everyone who wants to get a piercing to do their research and go somewhere APP certified. I was greeted warmly and friendly by Michelle the receptionist, who answered all of my questions with sincerity and patience. There were able to take me in today at 3:30 with Will, and this was by far the BEST tattoo artist I have been to. I have been to tattoo shops pretty often, for the two I have personally and for my friends tattoos. Will was very polite, funny, speedy (beautifully great, precise quality) and wasn't heavy handed. I got two pieces done today, one on my left wrist and one under my collar bone. He is new to the area, from Colorado originally and needs to rebuild clientele from the move. I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone who wants a phenomenal tattoo experience. He quoted me 130 for both tattoos and I left a 50 dollar tip, because I felt like he absolutely deserved it. He has been in the industry for 16 years tattooing people and has true passion for art. Horrible. I loved the old shop, and even though the new one is bigger its much more dirty. The lady at the front desk was kind and helpful, but the man that did the peircing was beyond rude. He said that the mark he made on my nose was "the only correct spot to peirce, and what i wanted was wrong." Another thing i didnt appreciate is the smell of weed on the mans hands when he was close to my nose. I mean i thought it was bad enough when i walked in and the entire place smelled like it. Oh and another thing, my peircer was stoned out of his mind. I cant believe that experience cost me 70 dollars. This shop is absolutley discusting and i sincerley hope they get shut down soon. I went in one day in April to get my nose pierced.  It would be my 4th time, as I was having issues with scarring.  I was greeted promptly, and the guy took me back.  We discussed different piercings, and he was very educated about the options.  I believe his name was Shawne.He pierced my nose and it had to be the easiest piercing I've ever had.  By far the best out of the four times for my nose.  I went back today to get my nose ring changed out, into a small gold ring.  Apparently they moved locations - and the new one is so cute, the décor is just really awesome.  I wish I would have caught her name, by the woman working up front was just so awesome.  She was so nice as we discussed different ring options, and she texted Shawne to find out when he'd be in to assist me with the ring change.We had to come back because he was not in at that time, and she took a discount on the nose ring for me.  How awesome.  Shawne was in, and helped me change the ring like a pro.  Awesome experience both times. I went into the old location the day they were moving and was able to book an appointment for a few days later at the new location.  I showed the lady at the front my design and she booked me with Kiana saying that she was new and from OR and this would be a great design for her to do.The new location is nice and Kiana was very sweet.  I had the design but exact placement and size I was unsure of.  Kiana was able to answer a few questions on size and suggest placement for this design.  The tattoo took about 45 min and looked amazing.  It hurt like heck.  A month later everything is healed and it looks perfect.  Exactly what I wanted and better that I expected.  She is an amazing artist. ~i called 2 ask if they can replace my nose ring. my flower one lost a stone. The lady at the desk was friendly. I walked in to explain to her that I bought the flower one from bjp. I had problems with the L shape and screw shape nose rings. She suggested the straight one. I got the straight one with a white stone. She said it shouldn't fall out. I only paid for the nose ring since I already got my nose pierced. I love the shop. They have other things there than just a tattoo store. Thank you! Read Less

At first, I was a little freaked out to get my cartilage piercing, but one of the artist reassured me that it wouldn't hurt that bad. She was right and she was super quick about piercing my ear. Afterwards, they were very thorough in explaining how to take care of piercing and also gave me some sea salt for aftercare! Overall, their location is awesome and very clean. Double cartilage piercing for $102. They provided excellent and speedy service and were very nice!! I was pierced with a needle, and it is much less painful than the Claire's gun. I heard about this place through a close friend who just had an her industrial bar done. Very friendly atmosphere, awesome people :)Only downside: the store is tucked away in a little nook, and it is tricky to find. It is right in front of Sport's Authority. Read Less
