Please don't go to this place if you want good quality art done on your body. If I could do no stars I would cause the customer service was shit and the tattoos that came from various of the artist there. My cousin and I went there for Friday the 13th for $13 tattoos and I left more than disappointed with what was on my body and what was on my cousin (that was my cousins first). I get that the quality of a $13 tattoo is not going to be that good but my god learn some straight even line work please. My artist who I don't even know the name of was a total dick and didn't even talk to me taking not even five minutes on my tattoo. I got a finger and let me tell you... it doesn't look like no damn finger. My friend was also there and hers was horrifying and to see the lines overlap and connect was horrendous. The fact this shop has artist with years experience but not show that in their work is shitty and it's a shame they are okay with letting people walk out with that on their bodies. My "Artist" didn't even wrap my tat up and looked at me like I was stupid waiting for him to do so for sanitary purposes of a fresh tat! I have other wonderful tattoos so I know aftercare but every artist is different and should voice their suggestions of how to care for fresh ink! I wasn't told anything and was awkwardly/silently dismissed from the table. Once again go to a shop who cares and doesn't produce shit. I now have to get this covered up by someone who knows what they are doing and are talented

My wife and I got tattoos yesterday and we are beyond satisfied with them! I had mine done by George Rankin, the shop's apprentice, but please don't let that title dissuade you because he is truly gifted. The shop is clean, staff is friendly, prices are reasonable, and they have a comfy waiting room. My tattoo is complex and George did a flawless job on the lines and detail. It's two klingon bird of preys attacking a galaxy class starship in a nebula. I'll be going back in a couple weeks for the coloring.

I don't care what anyone said, it stings!HaHaHa.This is a photo of my tat. half-way done. Break time. If you're looking to get a tattoo, this is the place. Army-Navy in Yorktown, friendly staff, super clean, sanitary, and great artist.Day two of tattoo, looks GREAT! Very pleased I must say. Dave, who did the art work, is one of the tattoo artist at "Army-Navy Tattoo ". Give this studio a go if you're looking into getting a tattoo. I came in one day about a month or two ago with my dad(we are African American) , there was two employees working. I walked in no one spoke to us. Ten minutes go by the first employee was done with a customers tattoo just chatting. Sit there for another ten minutes waiting. A group of white girls come in they are spoken too and asked what they need and someone will be with them in a few minutes. At this point I am infuriated and just decide to leave. Rude and will never suggest this place if they will not have good business etiquette. Losing money because you're racist is silly.

The absolute best tattoo experience I've had at a tattoo parlor in the state of Virginia. Not only was the cleaniness of the shop immaculate, every single artist was knowledgeable, and the best at their craft.
I personally recommend Jermey or JJ. I've been going to them for 3 years and they have never made a mistake or a poor line on my body. Great prices and and excellent work.
Stop looking for the next place to get a tat and hurry into Army Navy!

I was disappointed by the professionalism of the shop. I tried to make an appointment to get a piercing done. A friend and I called numerous times to talk to the piercer and we were told that the piercer wasn't in, but we should call back later. Whenever we called back, the piercer/owner was never in. Finally, we made a quasi-appointment and they told us she'd be there in about an hour. When we traveled out of town to see her, low and behold, she wasn't there. We left our names/numbers and never received a call back, even two months later. Needless to say, we got our piercings and tattoos elsewhere.

Both me and my sister worked with Spider. He was amazing! She walked in with a little idea of what she wanted and ended up getting stacked puzzle pieces spelling out HOPE for Autism. He talked the whole time to make you comfortable and constantly asked if she needed a break. I wasn't planning on getting a tattoo but after my sister's visit I came in a few days later and got a butterfly with the PTSD ribbon as the middle on my shoulder blade. Once again he was very detailed and gentle. I will definitely be going back to him my next visit to Virginia!!

This place is kinda shady but over the years it has cleaned up for the most part.Its a small outdated joint with some good artisit that really don't recieve the good credit that they deserve being at this shop. The parking lot is small but its hardly ever full, I've had two tats here and they have both been walk-ins. The inside reeks of smoke and the seating areas are gross looking. Most of the furishings look like hand-me-downs with holes and stains. The prices are fair for the most part. If you do opt for a walk-in be prepared to wait...the first time I went the lady said she was finishing up and being young and dumb I waited almsot an hour for my first tat. I'd recommend an appointment. They have a pretty large selection of tattoos available that are pre-designed. They also do custom works as well and are quite good good at it. The people who work here are very nice and not intimidating, for the most part honest. Overall, I would recommend this place for someone getitng a quick and noncomplicated tattoo. I probably won't be coming back because I don't get tats too often. However, if I do I'll probably go somewhere else because this place looks dirty and I don't think I can stand the moldy smell here anymore.

i have three tattoos, all from army navy tattoo. donnie did two of them, they are AMAZING! he has also done tattoos on other people i know, and they all loved him. he has a naughty sense of humor, but i didn't really mind, it just made me laugh when i was really nervous. my other tattoo was done by a guy named, i think, aaron who is no longer there. he didn't do a very good job, and when i inquired about getting it touched up, they said he had moved and they would have to charge for someone else to do a touch up. not fair to me, since i paid for it to be right the first time.

It is the cleanest shop I have ever been in and I have been in alot of tattoo shops. The staff is great and know what they are talking about. They use sterile needles and have an auto-claive in ther main room. They use new ink pots for each customer.... so it's a great place. It is for surely a place I'd take my kid to get a piercing or get myself a tattoo.

Rude customer service, although I called about an appointment WHICH THEY REFUSED to do... They are walk in only she told me last walk in is at 915PM so they could close by 10. Get there around 9pm and the guy didn't want anything to do with a tattoo or a customer just closing!!! WILL NOT RETURN or recommend!!!

Both me and my sister worked with Spider. He was amazing! She walked in with a little idea of what she wanted and ended up getting stacked puzzle pieces spelling out HOPE for Autism. He talked the whole time to make you comfortable and constantly asked if she needed a break. I wasn't planning on getting a tattoo but after my sister's visit I came in a few days later and got a butterfly with the PTSD ribbon as the middle on my shoulder blade. Once again he was very detailed and gentle. I will definitely be going back to him my next visit to Virginia!!

This place is kinda shady but over the years it has cleaned up for the most part.Its a small outdated joint with some good artisit that really don't recieve the good credit that they deserve being at this shop. The parking lot is small but its hardly ever full, I've had two tats here and they have both been walk-ins. The inside reeks of smoke and the seating areas are gross looking. Most of the furishings look like hand-me-downs with holes and stains. The prices are fair for the most part. If you do opt for a walk-in be prepared to wait...the first time I went the lady said she was finishing up and being young and dumb I waited almsot an hour for my first tat. I'd recommend an appointment. They have a pretty large selection of tattoos available that are pre-designed. They also do custom works as well and are quite good good at it. The people who work here are very nice and not intimidating, for the most part honest. Overall, I would recommend this place for someone getitng a quick and noncomplicated tattoo. I probably won't be coming back because I don't get tats too often. However, if I do I'll probably go somewhere else because this place looks dirty and I don't think I can stand the moldy smell here anymore.

i have three tattoos, all from army navy tattoo. donnie did two of them, they are AMAZING! he has also done tattoos on other people i know, and they all loved him. he has a naughty sense of humor, but i didn't really mind, it just made me laugh when i was really nervous. my other tattoo was done by a guy named, i think, aaron who is no longer there. he didn't do a very good job, and when i inquired about getting it touched up, they said he had moved and they would have to charge for someone else to do a touch up. not fair to me, since i paid for it to be right the first time.

yes this place is amazing and has the best tatoos in virginia. im most ecstadic about my nose piercing and my dads tatooo. its very clean and sterel.

It is the cleanest shop I have ever been in and I have been in alot of tattoo shops. The staff is great and know what they are talking about. They use sterile needles and have an auto-claive in ther main room. They use new ink pots for each customer.... so it's a great place. It is for surely a place I'd take my kid to get a piercing or get myself a tattoo.
