I've never had as great a great stylist as Jody! She makes me look and feel like a million bucks! And I'm an older gal who used to be a great beauty! Another thing I like about this salon is that they're like a family and care about each other. The massage experience that comes with each styling and shampoo is well worth changing your destination for! I recently moved here and tried a few salons, but this is truly the best I've EVER had, thanks to Jody!

I am not one to usually take the time to post yelp reviews--but Utopia deserves the 5 star rating. And here's why. I called to make an appointment at 10:00 AM on Saturday morning. They scheduled me for an appointment at 11:00 AM the same day. When I arrived, the front desk woman (the same woman who booked the appointment earlier) asked that I take a seat and she would let my stylist know I was there. I sat down and waited maybe 3 minutes and my stylist, Ashley, came to get me. The hair style I wanted was just layers and some style, since my hair had gotten so long. I haven't had a hair cut in a long time, since I had been so nervous on what to get and where to go. Ashley not only listened to me, but also asked questions to better understand what I wanted. She was a joy to be around the entire time. I have never been to a salon where every single employee I spoke with was that fantastic. All of them were honestly incredible to speak to and interact with. I can't say it could have went any better. I left around 12:00. Ashley performed so well, and was professional, she deserves a raise. She knew I was nervous, and acted with confidence to better soothe my emotions. It worked!It was $40 for the hair cut and I left $14 as a tip for Ashley-- so $54 was well worth it. Absolutely amazing experience. I will definitely be back!Thank you to all of you who helped me today. Hopefully you'll be able to see this review and remember who I was.

I got my navel pierced last week here. On the phone to make the appointment, the receptionist was lovely! I arrived early and filled out my paperwork with about 20 minutes to spare for my 2:00. Throughout the whole waiting time, people sat at the desk and talked unprofessionally and quite loudly. Once it got to 2:10, I started getting irritated as no one even made a move to let me know why we’d be doing the appointment late. At 2:20, who I found to be my piercer, walked in an...d talked for 5 minutes before prepping the room and eventually calling me in. At which point, she told me to lift me shirt so she could mark my navel. As I did, I could see her visibly grimace and roll her eyes at my plus size body. She made me feel incredibly unwelcome throughout the entire process and sputtered out the aftercare instructions so fast i couldn’t understand them just to get me out the door. However, she was incredibly clean and the piercings are of good quality. She did, though, put the wrong size bar in and I’m having to get a new one put in as it is hollowing out my skin in a spot, but I certainly won’t be doing it here. Would not recommend if you’re plus size, as the discrimination is obvious, but for anyone else, it was clean and quick, just too chatty. See More

The first time I went for a cut, I realized when I got home that one side was a little longer than the other. The stylist was kind enough to fix it when I went back a few days later. Today, I went for my second cut and this time it is much more noticeably crooked. I am once again scheduled to go get it fixed in a couple of days. Needless to say, I won’t be going back after it is fixed, which is a shame because the stylist is super sweet and the prices are reasonable.

I was a nervous wreck because most of the YouTube videos I researched included excerpts on how painful it was. But I can tell you that Laura put me at ease and answered every weird nervous question I had plus explained the after care process with the good and the bad which I real...ly appreciated. She even made me laugh through it even though personally I did find it painful but not too painful to get the other ear done. So I walked out of there with both of my ears pierced and very pleased with the results. Plus, considering all of the other services that they provide, being a salon, I can tell you that I will be back to partake in those because the atmosphere is pleasant and it is a very well kept and clean business with pleasant staff. Laura is the most professional piercer I have ever met. She is meticulous in her cleanliness, patient, kind and understanding that people get nervous. I took my best friend and her daughter for piercings yesterday, 01/07/2018, and she was amazing with my friend’s 10 year old. Patient, kind, professional.. and a damned good educator on piercing management. As someone who works in the medical field, I can say, without hesitation, that if she were in the OR with me I would have 110% confidence in her technique. Brava! (I still can’t feel that I had my daith done yesterday, which goes to show how amazing she is!)

Even after it was over she offered me a sunny D to help me collect my ballance and be on my way. I strongly recommend this salon for any of your piercing needs. They are highly skilled and extremely professional at what they do. The receptionist was wonderful. She gathered all of the tounge rings when I went in to change sizes and helped me pick the perfect fit. If you go anywhere else you'll be sorry :)

Most recent experience with the body piercer there who was very nice and knowledgeable fixed my nose piercing in 5 minutes after two wasted trips to where I originally got it. Will definitely return for hair and piercing needs! Thanks Utopia.

It's been swollen, and very irritated for about 4 days. And I just got it done last weekend. I've been taking proper care of it, making sure to move it and nothing will help. The man at the desk was very rude with me and it was an overall poor experience.

I have been coming to this salon now for about 3 years. I have never had such great work with coloring. I always get many complements on the colors my stylist, Kristen, chooses for me. She really takes her time and does a fantastic job. We have also used the salon for prom hair and makeup, and again great job. It is hard to find a stylist you trust to do a great job every time, and this has definitely been the case. The price is compatible with other salons in the Winchester, area.

He styled it when we were finished, and gave me really cute beach waves. We just moved to the area, and I will definitely go back to Trent. I did go here one other time in the fall, and I was satisfied, but not "wowed" . Today however, I was "wowed". It really is dependent on who you get, so I will be going back to Trent. He is super talented with women's hair. Thanks again, I will be back! Oh, and prices were extremely reasonable, $90 for a highlight, cut and style.

I came across Utopia because of a previous review after typing in Day Spas and Salons and saw a review for a hair dresser named Liz and how she did a wonderful job on two previous customers hair. So I called up got an appointment same day and with Liz!! I can't say anything negative AT ALL about her!! Wonderful, funny and my hair looks awesome!!! Everyone has complimented on my hair...and in a good way :)

I am not one to usually take the time to post yelp reviews--but Utopia deserves the 5 star rating. And here's why. I called to make an appointment at 10:00 AM on Saturday morning. They scheduled me for an appointment at 11:00 AM the same day. When I arrived, the front desk woman (the same woman who booked the appointment earlier) asked that I take a seat and she would let my stylist know I was there. I sat down and waited maybe 3 minutes and my stylist, Ashley, came to get me. The hair style I wanted was just layers and some style, since my hair had gotten so long. I haven't had a hair cut in a long time, since I had been so nervous on what to get and where to go. Ashley not only listened to me, but also asked questions to better understand what I wanted. She was a joy to be around the entire time. I have never been to a salon where every single employee I spoke with was that fantastic. All of them were honestly incredible to speak to and interact with. I can't say it could have went any better. I left around 12:00. Ashley performed so well, and was professional, she deserves a raise. She knew I was nervous, and acted with confidence to better soothe my emotions. It worked!It was $40 for the hair cut and I left $14 as a tip for Ashley-- so $54 was well worth it. Absolutely amazing experience. I got my navel pierced last week here. On the phone to make the appointment, the receptionist was lovely! I arrived early and filled out my paperwork with about 20 minutes to spare for my 2:00. Throughout the whole waiting time, people sat at the desk and talked unprofessionally and quite loudly. Once it got to 2:10, I started getting irritated as no one even made a move to let me know why we’d be doing the appointment late. At 2:20, who I found to be my piercer, walked in an...d talked for 5 minutes before prepping the room and eventually calling me in. At which point, she told me to lift me shirt so she could mark my navel. As I did, I could see her visibly grimace and roll her eyes at my plus size body. She made me feel incredibly unwelcome throughout the entire process and sputtered out the aftercare instructions so fast i couldn’t understand them just to get me out the door. However, she was incredibly clean and the piercings are of good quality. She did, though, put the wrong size bar in and I’m having to get a new one put in as it is hollowing out my skin in a spot, but I certainly won’t be doing it here. Would not recommend if you’re plus size, as the discrimination is obvious, but for anyone else, it was clean and quick, just too chatty. See More

The first time I went for a cut, I realized when I got home that one side was a little longer than the other. The stylist was kind enough to fix it when I went back a few days later. Today, I went for my second cut and this time it is much more noticeably crooked. I am once again scheduled to go get it fixed in a couple of days. Needless to say, I won’t be going back after it is fixed, which is a shame because the stylist is super sweet and the prices are reasonable.

Enough about the piercer more about the salon, I have been coming to utopia salon for the past three or two years and it’s employees have never been anything but helpful angels to me, the salon is so clean and I love the refreshments. I was a nervous wreck because most of the YouTube videos I researched included excerpts on how painful it was. But I can tell you that Laura put me at ease and answered every weird nervous question I had plus explained the after care process with the good and the bad which I real...ly appreciated. She even made me laugh through it even though personally I did find it painful but not too painful to get the other ear done. So I walked out of there with both of my ears pierced and very pleased with the results. Plus, considering all of the other services that they provide, being a salon, I can tell you that I will be back to partake in those because the atmosphere is pleasant and it is a very well kept and clean business with pleasant staff. Laura had done three of my piercings. I was nervous to have my cartilage pierced... ever... but I decided in my early 30s that I knew it was something I wanted. Laura is the most professional piercer I have ever met. She is meticulous in her cleanliness, patient, kind and understanding that people get nervous. I took my best friend and her daughter for piercings yesterday, 01/07/2018, and she was amazing with my friend’s 10 year old. Patient, kind, professional.. and a damned good educator on piercing management. As someone who works in the medical field, I can say, without hesitation, that if she were in the OR with me I would have 110% confidence in her technique. Brava! (I still can’t feel that I had my daith done yesterday, which goes to show how amazing she is!)

I had my tounge pierced by Lauren. She was extremely professional and walked me through the entire procedure from the prepierce to the point when it hit my tounge. Even after it was over she offered me a sunny D to help me collect my ballance and be on my way. I strongly recommend this salon for any of your piercing needs. They are highly skilled and extremely professional at what they do. The receptionist was wonderful. She gathered all of the tounge rings when I went in to change sizes and helped me pick the perfect fit. If you go anywhere else you'll be sorry :)

Most recent experience with the body piercer there who was very nice and knowledgeable fixed my nose piercing in 5 minutes after two wasted trips to where I originally got it. Will definitely return for hair and piercing needs! Thanks Utopia.

It's been swollen, and very irritated for about 4 days. And I just got it done last weekend. I've been taking proper care of it, making sure to move it and nothing will help. The man at the desk was very rude with me and it was an overall poor experience.

I have been coming to this salon now for about 3 years. I have never had such great work with coloring. I always get many complements on the colors my stylist, Kristen, chooses for me. She really takes her time and does a fantastic job. We have also used the salon for prom hair and makeup, and again great job. It is hard to find a stylist you trust to do a great job every time, and this has definitely been the case. The price is compatible with other salons in the Winchester, area.

Had my hair done by Trent today. I got a highlight and cut. I do blonde highlights and I had an angled bob cut done. It turned out really great. He styled it when we were finished, and gave me really cute beach waves. We just moved to the area, and I will definitely go back to Trent. I did go here one other time in the fall, and I was satisfied, but not "wowed" . Today however, I was "wowed". It really is dependent on who you get, so I will be going back to Trent. He is super talented with women's hair. Thanks again, I will be back! Oh, and prices were extremely reasonable, $90 for a highlight, cut and style.

I hate getting my hair done for fear of it turning out all jacked up! Definetly had my share of bad hair cuts and experiences! I came across Utopia because of a previous review after typing in Day Spas and Salons and saw a review for a hair dresser named Liz and how she did a wonderful job on two previous customers hair. So I called up got an appointment same day and with Liz!! I can't say anything negative AT ALL about her!! Wonderful, funny and my hair looks awesome!!! Everyone has complimented on my hair...and in a good way :)
