I love the look of this tattoo shop. The inside of this shop has some great art work to make it a comfortable and relaxing environment. Give these guys alot of credit... I showed up at around 7 on a SAT with no appointment and wanted to have my wife and I tattooed. Was really hoping for ty ( if you want ty make an appointment)! Don't know what I was thinking! But mad props to all the guys there... They huddled up and managed to squeeze us in. Even though I didn't get the artist I desired I'm still pleased with my tattoo. My husband and I are both looking to get new ink. We walked in last week to inquire about making an appointment, was greeted by one of the owners who showed us books of art from each of the artists. Rico came up to talk to my husband about the tat that he wants, gave him some input and ideas and booked an appointment for him. We went back yesterday with ideas for a couple of tats that I am interested in. Spoke with Brandi. She also gave me some great ideas and is combining parts of the tats I showed her into a new one. This is the best place to go for a tattoo. Great atmosphere, prices and artists. I had to put my 9 yr old German shepherd down who was like a child to me. Rico worked me in and gave me an awesome tattoo of her paw print before the dreaded day so I could get pics of her with it. I have several tattoos that I have gotten over the last 6-7 yrs from here. They always give me exactly what I ask for and always amaze me and exceed my expectations. All my tattoos still look great after all these years and still get compliments from people. These people are amazing. Rico did some amazing work for me at the tattoo convention and I could not be happier. The whole group at liquid metal were friendly, professional, and super sweet. I literally loved everyone I met. I felt like they had been my friends for years and I was apart of the family. They went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and had what I needed. Rico literally gave me a tattoo that was practically painless.... I did about 8 hours without flinching. He's got a soft hand and can cover some ground. I'm a customer for life now. I don't normally review anything or anybody but in this case I thought I would. I brought my 17 yr old son in for his 1st tattoo (birthday present) He has been asking to get one since he was 15. I made him wait until I knew he was absolutely sure he wanted to do it and what he wanted. Even still I was a little nervous after all it is permanent and u r stuck with it good or bad for life. We were very fortunate to get the appointment with Rico. He did a phenomenal job. H...e guided my son in the process. Treated him like an adult rather than some dumb kid. He suggested a few minor changes to Jake's idea while still respecting his vision. The outcome was better than I thought it could be. He was professional but also relatable to my son. He made it a fun experience. The tattoo has healed perfectly and looks amazing. Both my son and I cud not be happier. When my older son returns home from deployment in the spring I will DEFINATELY be recommending him to Rico. I also want to give props to his front desk man who was also very professional and kind. After searching the Richmond area for a tattoo shop that had a great reputation, I heard about Ty at Liquid Metal through a mutual friend. To say he is awesome would be an understatement! Very professional & makes sure your comfortable which was important to me. The shop atmosphere is really relaxed, everyone was friendly, and it is also very clean( which was a must for me)!! This tattoo was my 5th & a coverup but by far my FAVORITE! I absolutely couldn't be any happier with my half sleeve!!
