I can't even put into words of how satisfied I am with my new ink, I was a walk in and talked with jarred, I shown him one that I was doubting he would even want to attempt, he immediately stepped up to the challenge and said he wanted to do that one, he wanted to draw it up and put his own artist touch to it, I came back for about a 6 hour session. His passion for what he did was evident from the start, he put extra time in wanting this to be every thing that I wanted.. It was and even more.. His precision with the lines and shades and his ability to put his own spin on it was beyond awesome.. every where I have stopped since leaving there I've had people asking who did this amazing piece? its turning heads and I seriously will drive the 7 hours to come here again for my next one.. I went to the Independence Tattoo on Laskin Road the day after my twenty-first birthday and got the most amazing first tattoo experience. The artist was Carson and he and the rest of the wonderful staff were very understanding about the fact that it was my first tattoo and I had no clue what was going on. I had endless questions which were all patiently answered. I brought way too many people (my parents and teen brother) but everyone was nice even though I now know that is bad tattoo etiquette on my part. The tattoo itself is gorgeous. It's an eye and it's colorful and detailed. I love it so much. Carson was very informative about the process of getting the tattoo and figuring out where to put it. I wanted it on my ankle but ended up with it a little above the desired spot so it could be more detailed. Actually getting the tattoo wasn't bad. I was told it would feel like a cat scratching a sunburn, but the needle moves so quickly that I didn't think it was that bad - although it did hurt more when the tattoo was being shaded in. Carson was good about checking to make sure I was okay and even let my mom go back to take pictures. He gave me very specific and easy to follow instructions for taking care of the tattoo. Three months later, I am still very satisfied with the experience and my tattoo is all healed and looks awesome. Also, Ram Jam was really good for the tattoo and I have sensitive skin, but it didn't react funny to it which was great. I highly recommend this establishment. The place is clean, the bathroom has handicap accommodations and is spotless. They play music while they tattoo. It's a really cool place. Read Less
