I have come to this establishment on three occasions, the first I went in to get my nostril pierced, I had called ahead to make sure they had a piercer in, I was told they did and then upon arrival found they in fact did not have a piercer in and were not expecting one to be in for several days. The second time I went in was for my tattoo, pricing was pretty fair, it is a larger piece but they also pushed for a larger size than what I wanted. The design wasn’t original or hand drawn, it also took less than an hour and I ended up paying $200 for it. Fair pricing but other places have better pricing for designed pieces. The artist also vaped through the whole tattoo without asking if I was okay with it. The third visit was for my septum piercing and I was refused, the piercer just looked at my nose and said he couldn’t do it. A piercer at a different shop got it straight and it healed perfectly. Got my nose pierced here in March. Staff was friendly and quick. The only issue is that both my friend and I got our noses pierced here and like three weeks later both had painful keyloid type bumps on the for weeks that were very difficult to get rid of. I was given a different jewelry for this piercing than with my other one so I’m not sure if the piercing technic, jewelry, or if we both happened to be having a hard time contributed to the bumps. An apprentice on Staff was specifically asked how long tattooing she states 18 months... asked about experience shading as the entire premise and draw to the tatto is the shading, stated has done many. Pointed out things missing and I am told SHE did not want to do it the way the pic shows because too busy and cluttered. It’s what i want not what she wants. States she will go back in and shade more when it heals, no thank you trust level is gone. I am very disappointed and I have to live with this ugly thing on my arm. I’m a return customer that cannot even get a call back for a message left for her mentor. Some say a professional can fix it , others say cover that immediately after it heals. After showing me the tattoo she made changes but did not show me the changes made. My very first tattoo on my lower back was done there and 10 years later no regrets, tattoo number 5 done last Friday I regret already .... so disappointed. Read Less

Took my 17 year old daughter in to get her bellybutton pierced. Very nice shop. First impression I got is that the staff (everyone we dealt with) is very friendly and welcoming. It's a Saturday night, pretty busy, but we still were greeted immediately, and dealt with in a professional manner. The process was easy (paperwork, ID's, etc), and quick. The piercer, Biscuit, was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and had a sense of humor that made us feel comfortable and at ease. Not impressed. My husband and I both wanted a tattoo, we were greeted by a young man who suggested we look through the artist portfolios . That was the only contact made even though we were the only customers there. After 45 mins of no contact we walked out. Would not suggest this place to anyone. Had to have a tattoo reworked that was done by an artist that is no longer employed there (don't let the word rework discourage you from going there) I went to the VA Bch shop and they jumped right on getting it taken care of. The dude that fixed it was Zach and I wish he would've been the one to do it in the first place. So when you head up there to get ink, make sure you request him. Mad props to ya brother!!! Read Less

The owner Mike Wexler is a complete a-hole. Made an apt. for an add on to my pre-existing piece, and he took 30 min just to freehand onto it. When he was finished, I did not like his design. He grew very irritated with me, and tried again. I didn't care for the second either. He made it clear he was irritated, which is completely unprofessional in my opinion (especially being the owner). Eventually we had to re-schedule because of his irritation. Had to wait a month to get in next, and showed up 15 min late because I was stuck in traffic. He rolled his eyes as i walked in and told me gave the apt to someone else. I understand giving the apt away since I was late and should have called, but he was a complete jerk about it! I went in there were 2 ideas only accessible via my email to them. they said they would do it for me in one hour wait. told me to send them the tattoo, and I would be getting a tattoo in an hour. I did that. then they told me they couldn't do it, because I didn't have an appointment. of course they took my drawings. these guys are sorry. The tattooist Joe Hitt and Gentleman Jim provided horrible service while I visited. both complained the whole time, jim smelled like pot, neither washed before tattooin me and my sister. l later visited the state website looking for their permits to tattoo and could not find any information. They even touched their ink bottles their bloody gloves!!!! EWWWWW. I surprisingly got an infection and had to have antibiotics and steroids to fight this blood poisoning. My sister got off easy. just lines are real deep and blurry. I WILL NEVER, REPEAT NEVER, give my money to be put at risk like that again. Very disappointed and disgusted. Mike did a back piece for me, and a half sleeve for my man- and he was amazing! Mine was a bit more simple, but he was still able to put a creative edge to it. With my guy's- he brought in a ton of pictures and Mike did some of his own research- and put together an amazing piece for his arm. He gets stopped all the time- everywhere we go, people want to know where he got it done. Last time I walked around with a shirt that shows my back, I had someone ask if they could take a picture of my tattoo. A few weeks after we both had ours done we saw a girl with a super cute tattoo and asked her where she got it done- ""Mike Mcmahon at blue horseshoe!"" she said... we should have know! Had a terrible experience there. Several staff members completely rude. Got run-around from "Dr. Tony", General Manager. Artist was not overly friendly. Did not get to approve my tat, was covered up and promptly sent on my way. Am not happy with tat, several elementary mistakes!! I will NEVER give them my business at any location and I am telling everyone that I can tell about my profoundly negative experience there. Artist does not equel Rude. I am not offended by cursing, but every other word I heard was F@#$. Very unprofessional. I've never seen so many "God Complexes" since the last time I was at the doctors/hospital. well it was time fo rmy birthday finnaly i was of age to get my own piercing. Something to make me,just me. At first i was going to get a tounge piercing but after 3 years of braces i dident think so. In th end i decided that my nose was the way to go. as ecstadic as i was, i was mainly afraid of the needle. If there is anything to make my cringe it's a big needle going threw my flesh and bones. But it was worth it to get something that i realy wanted. So an hour later there i am in Blue Horse Shoe Tattoo. Quivering and scared but oh well. the piercer clamed me down and told me it wasent going to hurt (typical i know) but then he said ""it will hurt but not as much as you think it would be, the intense is worse"" of corse i had no other choice but to believe him. So i got it done and whal-la fineto it is done and over with. I recomend blue horse shoe because the people are nice and they are really clean. after my horrific shock of terror was over iIwent back a second time to get my tummy pierced, and yet again i will go back there to get my eyebrow.
