Scott is the best. My standards in artist have been raised. Not just from putting needle to skin but being personable. Got the back of my neck done and he asked if I was doing alright. I said other than the buzzing its fine. A woman came in asking about a cover up piece for her lewd lower back ink she had gotten when she was younger and was no longer relevant to her lifestyle. He was honest in giving her his thoughts as to her options as it was a large piece. I went in with a design and he changed it a little bit to incorporate an artistic D for my first name. Got my first tattoo done here by Tony and I couldn’t imagine having a better experience than I did. Every staff member that I met was SUPER cool and friendly. It’s an extremely fun and laid back environment. My session lasted seven hours and the whole time I joked around with Tony and Matt (you have to be pretty cool for someone to joke around with you for seven hours haaha). They are both awesome guys.. As for the end product, I’ve heard that Tony is one of the best in the area at black and grey realism tattoos and after getting my work done I can clearly see that he is.. There's a saying. Good tattoos aren't cheap and cheap tattoos aren't good. Matt quoted me a price. For the work he did, I would've paid twice that. Add in the AMAZING conversations and jokes that happened while I was there, and I definitely found the place where I'm getting inked for life. This is coming from a guy who solely went to Psycho in Atlanta. So, if you're headed there, make sure to bring a squeaky toy for Anna. Bonus points if it's a penguin. I went in this ship looking for something fairly simplistic, and no artist that was wasn't either stoned or sweating out alcohol, could remedy the situation. Out of all the tattoo parlors I have been too, True Tattoo is by far my favorite. They have a very friendly staff and a very comfortable atmosphere. When I took my grandmother to get her first tattoo there, the staff after what kind of music she liked and switched the music chanel to make her more comfortable. My grandmother and I both just got our second tattoos from True Tattoo and they turned out amazing. They are very fair with pricing and have several different artists that specialize in different areas of tattooing like cover-ups, line work and portraits Etc. So I've been debating over a tattoo (more like getting up the courage) for a long time.  After consulting Yelp (See Thinking About Ink in Talk) and talking with some friends, I finally decided "woman up" and get my ink.  A recommendation from a friend sent me to True Tattoo.  The thought of going into a really big shop kind of intimidated me, and I actually loved the interaction of True Tattoo and their "fans" on their facebook page which is part of what drew me in.And I'm very glad it did.  I called and asked what I needed to do as this was my first tattoo.  They recommended coming in to review the portfolios and pick an artist based on that, I could set up an appointment with them and discuss what I was looking for.  I headed over and was greeted promptly.  I showed them what I was looking for and they felt confident that any of the artist could handle it (as did I!).  Scott had luckily just finished up early with another customer and was able to quickly draw up EXACTLY what I was looking for and took the time to discuss the size and placement with me (I was still teetering on where and how big).  Because he had the time, he offered to take care of it right then.I was nervous and anticipated it hurting, but it wasn't as bad as I thought -- not a single tear! -- and Scott gave me a heads up right before we started which I appreciated.  He worked fast and efficiently and chatted with my husband and I which probably helped me not concentrate on what was going on.  It wasn't until the end that we realized he was the shop owner which made me even happier with how things worked out.  I LOVE my tattoo!  I'm already thinking about what my next one will be.... :) Read Less

I just had a new tattoo done at True Tattoo this past week and I couldn't have been more pleased with my experience. The shop was great! Really open and bright and each tattooist has there own little "cubicle"-like station which was kinda neat. I was tattooed by Ross Trimmer (getrawesome.com). I had emailed him the idea I had for my tattoo  the week before and when I showed up he had drawn up the most perfect tattoo for me. And the finished product looks great!
