Soooooo, I decided to get the tragus piercings so I was given this shop's name. Went on a Sunday and waited about 5 minutes before being called back. Piercer had no personality as he explained NOTHING!!!! He marked my ears and told me to check the spots. My daughter said they were good. He then tells me to turn to the side and I hear him whisper 1, 2, 3 and then I felt a pain out of this world so of course, I jumped. He then tells me I have to be still and my daughter tells me to take a deep breath. I said, hell I thought it would be pierced with a gun! Still no explanations so I take a deep breath and hold it for both sides till we are finished. He only tells me to clean it 2x to 3x a day with anti-bacterial soap and not to change them for two months. I Google how to clean the piercings and learn about the saline solution and saline wound cleaner as well as sleeping with an airplane pillow.Fast forward to the ninth day and I'm cleaning and the freaking ball just falls off. Suffice it to say, I was scared and pissed. Scared because I didn't want the post to fall out and pissed because it happened. On one hand, I want to go back to the shop but then on the other hand, I'm skeptical because the freaking ball just fell off so I'm thinking the materials are inferior. I decide to go to another shop the next day so I found one and called and stated my predicament and was told to come on in which I preceded to do. I walk into the shop and was greeted so I explained the issue. I was asked did I call earlier and I said yes. One of the piercers told me to come on back and he would take care of it. I explained that I would prefer the change the earrings so I don't have to worry about it in two months.  I picked out the earrings and went to the back and the other piercer asked if she could guess where I had my tragus pierced because I never said. I told her yes and she guessed correctly because she said they always put the curved earrings in which extends the healing time and a regular back instead of a flat back. She put in straight posts with a flat back and preceded to give me great aftercare information.  We go back up front and she asks if I remember the instructions and I state yes AND she even told me to take ibuprofen to help the swelling and not to use heat. My ears FEEL better and I will never go back to Lucky 13!!! Read Less

I was pierced here over the weekend and I didn't have the best experience, but some of that was my fault. I came in around 8:30, they close at 9; this was my first mistake obviously. I asked to get my nose and inner conch pierced. Filled out my paperwork and went back. The lady who helped me was nice enough, but never introduced herself; I only mention this because she then had to take more clients, and I didn't know who to leave the tip for. So the second mistake I made was getting pierced without a friend present. When she placed the dots I could see the nose just fine but it is hard to see around your own head to your ear, without some distortion. I asked for an inner conch, I got a bad snug piercing. The area she pierced was so deep, the piercing was indenting my skin later that night. I've had my conch done before. Obviously it hurts, but not like this. If I took a deep breath, I could feel the skin tighten. They are clean and competitively priced, it just seems like everyone rushes through their work. My advice to anyone being pierced here is: 1. Don't go close to closing, if you can help it and 2. Take an advocate with you that knows exactly what you want and has a clear view of the marking. This is my second "not great" experience so I will not be back, but they are a Richmond staple so I hope they can take the time to slow down and continue being a reputable shop. Read Less

Every piercer that I've met here is a sweetheart. I've had all of my piercings done here since the day I turned 16, and I will most likely keep getting then done here till I leave Richmond. Had Ian do my spectum (16 gauge). Was $20; quick and easy. Only painful part was the clamp which is with almost all piercing areas. He didn't talk much which I liked, but some people might like to be reassured through talking. Love love love this place!! Charlotte did a quick and painless job piercing my tragus. She was very sweet. It did get crowded in the shop, but they were going through the walk ins swiftly (but this isn't to say that they weren't being diligent with their job because they still took the care and time to go through everything with everyone!). 3 days after my piercing, I can already say that it is healing quickly, which makes me relieved as I had a bad experience when I got my cartilage pierced at another place. Tonight I had the worst experience of my life, due to the fact that there is now a mistake permanently tattooed on my body. I understand that this is a risk that I consented to taking when undergoing the tattoo process, but it should not have happened this way. The artist did not tell me his name and had a terrible attitude with me. I did not feel comfortable with him, in fact too uncomfortable to confront him about the issue. He showed me the image of the tattoo, which was a heart outline meant to go on my ring finger. I told him that I didn't like how the image was sized and he told me that he'd fix it. Then he called me back and placed the stencil on my hand, it was the same image that he told me he would fix, but he had not resized it or anything. When he began to do the tattoo, I thought that everything was going fine, until I turned my head for one second to talk to my friend about how excited I was about the design concept. When I turned back the artist had tattooed a line beneath the heart, which we had not discussed at all, and was obviously a printing mistake that he had included in the stencil (almost like the image had had a square around it, and part of it was still visible). I was absolutely devastated, and knowing there was nothing he could do to fix it, I said nothing to him. He had been making me uneasy all night and being a woman, I didn't want to risk a confrontation with him. I paid for the work and tipped him, and then proceeded to leave in tears. I will not be returning to Lucky 13, and now am trying to figure out how to fix the horrible tattoo I now have. i never thought I would be one of those asshole yelp reviewers but since the guy who pierced my nose at lucky 13 thinks he is superior to inexperienced customers let me tell yalls what happened:I went in with the intention of purchasing a smaller hoop for my nose but they only had two sizes and nothing in between which is totally fine because I can get my nose ring from somewhere else no problem; but the guy working really had no reason to be rude as hell..After looking at my face for half a second from a distance and told me i can't even Look at the smaller hoop to see if it would fit in my nose and turned his back on me immediately. maybe it was a stupid question to him but I was just looking for some more help...from the guy who pierced my nose in the first place!!!! i purchased my current hoop from here as well so i really wanted to know the size to see what i can downsize to. It was just really unsettling that he made me feel so unwelcome being in the shop for less than a minute.. I wish more people here understood that being mean to everyone isn't a personality trait... I came in to get my second ear lobe piercing right after my classes at VCU and was immediately taken in. Iain was really professional and I was in and out of the place in less than 10 minutes. I haven't gotten a piercing since I was a baby and was a bit nervous, but it was a quick and doesn't hurt too bad. They will charge you an extra $3 if you choose to pay with card, but a flat $40 for two ear piercings is cheap and affordable. Read Less

Decided to go here for my first tattoo after reading the reviews online and the suggestions from good friends. Came in during walk in hours on a Tuesday. Wouldn't say staff were particular welcoming or friendly, but it was fine enough. I decided to get two rings around my right hand ring finger and one ring around my pinkie. Base price was $50 and I paid $80 + 10 for the tip, so all in all, $90. I'm not a person who is well versed in the prices of tattoos, but I feel like $80 for simple bands around my fingers was pretty steep.   Also when I talked about my idea to the artist, he tried to discourage me from doing the whole band around my finger. He insisted that I only get the top half of my finger done, as opposed to the whole band around my finger. To be fair, he said it's because that finger tattoos fade more quickly on the underside, but the tattoo is already going to $50+, so it feels ridiculous to pay that much for the tattoo to only be on the upper side of the finger. To top it all off, when the artist was tattooing me, I asked to stop for a breather and jokingly said, "it hurts more than I expected it to! haha" and he responded with, "Well I told you not to get the underside of your finger, didn't I? But you did anyways." Huh??? I'm still your customer. I'm sure he didn't mean it in a derogatory manner and maybe some people would say, "suck it up", but it came off as rude and an unnecessary comment, especially to someone who was getting their first tattoo. I've been to lucky 13 a couple times, everyone is friendly and the place is clean. It's a very nice shop overall. However on this occasion I went to change my nose ring just because I wanted to, I had previously gotten my nose pierced somewhere different. I went with my friends, it wasn't busy we went late that day which was nice because typically it's very busy and full inside. I bought my new nose ring and the guy who helped me was very friendly, but I didn't really know how to open the nose ring because I was scared of breaking it... now I went back to ask the guy if he could put it in for me and he told me his coworker would help me once she's done.. she finally got around to helping me and she was very standoffish when I asked her a question. I didn't want to be in the same room as her because she had an attitude. She was extremely rough with my nose as if she didn't know how to take my previous nose ring out she kept yanking very hard to the point my eyes were watering. I actually tried to help her by telling her how to take it out. I have sensitive skin and my nose was very red and in pain after she yanked and pulled on my nose. I've had this new nose ring in for about 2 weeks and have had a small keloid form due to her being so aggressive. I don't touch or play with my nose rings and I clean them everyday... the only reason I'm giving this 3 stars is because I've had other good experiences here and the workers are friendly. Not happy with the work after it healed after first it was pretty but because it was swollen. After it went down and healed I can see all of his mistakes. He charge $160 for this tattoo which is no bigger than the bottom of a coke bottle. I saw good reviews but none from the artist I went to. I don not recommend this place to anyone NOR DO I RECOMMEND TO ANY MILITARY AROUND THERE THEY ARE NOT DOING US ANY FAVORS. You can see very closely where he messed up and scarred me as well. I was in and out in less than 10min. There was no wait and I was immediately taken in the back. I got my nose pierced and it was $20, with the nose stud included. This was a very neat professional space with many artists. Our design was well received and they did a good job making the print. Staff were friendly and all instructions were given my friend being a first timer in tattooing. The procedure was pretty fast and Tye overall experience was good. They do have the piercings too. I’ve waited to post this review because I really was hoping to give Lucky 13 a stellar review, but because of my experience I’m giving it 2 stars. I went with a friend for a simple small tattoo. She insisted we go there as she’s had all of her tattoos done there and the work looked top notch. When we arrived they were busy and close to closing. We waited as we didn’t have an appointment & didn’t mind the wait. We finally got an artist who was available to take walk-ins. Off the bat he seemed like he was irritated & didn’t want to be bothered with our small tattoos. my tattoo came out perfectly as I had asked (so it seemed). Here it is now almost a month later and my tattoo looks horrendous! The ink completely blew out around day 7 and what seemed to be crisp lines are now smudges. I cared for the tattoo as directed, but to no avail it just looks like a rush job or non shop quality work. This was my first tattoo and I wouldn’t have expected ink blow out to happen especially from a shop with an experienced artist. At this point given the quality of work & customer service I experienced we won’t be back. I’ll have to look for another artist who can potentially touch up the tat or consider a cover up. Read Less

The staff knew exactly what new earring would help my piercing heal and did not charge me anything for the new earring. Excellent service. My fiancee had some piercings done here. Clean shop. Friendly staff. One of her two piercings got a local reaction and puffy two months AFTER the piercing. Not their fault. Came in one night ten minutes to closing, and a piercer who was there gave her friendly cleaning and skin care advice, and was told to come back in for another free look. Extremely professional care. Was very pleased about the outcome of the piercing. Would suggest for anyone from a kid's piercing (whatever their policy is) to any adult. Friendly and professional staff. I came in for one tattoo and ended up getting 10 over a 6 week span.  Travis Wasko is an outstanding artist and person.  The shop is extremely clean and one of the busiest tattoo shops I have ever seen.  I live 6 hours from the shop but I will make the trip to get the rest of my ink there and by Travis.   If you want ink this is the place you should be.   The front attendants are amazing in directing walk ins to an artist that can help their needs.  I have found an artist and friend while there.   I interacted with at least 5 of the artist and found them all to be very personable and quite down to earth.  You want professional ink that you will be proud of go to Lucky 13 Tattoo in Richmond. Although I had done a ton of prep and research beforehand, I was surprised by things I hadn't considered - I was impressed by their experience/expertise, in that they saw issues before they had even come up. They worked with me on size and placement, and spent a lot of time explaining various things. All of this for a really small tattoo (about .5"x1.5") that took him less than two minutes to complete. After the worst day of our lives so far, my sister in law and niece asked if I wanted to go tattoos. I'd been thinking of getting a particular one for years, so I jumped at the chance. Despite just walking in, the staff a Lucky 13 were able to fit us in with minimal wait. I got the phenomenally talented Angel, who worked with me to find the right font for my literary tattoo. He also introduced me to an awesome reggae version of Whiter Shade of Pale. My tattoo looks amazing and the whole experience was great. And the artists who worked on my sister in law and niece were equally fantastic. We all really enjoyed the atmosphere and easy banter of the staff and it helped us feel a whole lot less sad than we were when we walked in the door. I got a tattoo from here a couple of days ago. It was my second tattoo but first from Lucky 13. The wait was a little long but it was a weekend and I was a walk-in so that was to be expected. I nervously walked into Lucky 13 just shy of noon today to get my first tattoo of all time. The staff were professional and courteous, the tattoo was drawn and applied in an incredibly efficient time frame, and I was walking out the door before 12:30 (granted, my tattoo was small and simple, but I'm still pleased!).I've seen negative reviews indicating that their artists weren't friendly, and while I wasn't my artist's best friend by the end of our session, Bryan did quality work and was completely polite to me. Bit the bullet and finally pierced my ears today. Big shout out to Charlotte for making it so quick and painless!I highly recommend lucky 13 to anyone who's considering their first (or next!) piercing b/c:1) Sanitary and sterile needle piercing- I've heard from friends who've gotten piercings with the piercing gun that they experienced more throbbing pain in the days after. Something about how the gun is basically forcing a blunt ear stud through vs having a sharp needle due a precise pierce. 2) Reasonable price at $20 per ear - bring cash to avoid the $3 credit card processing fee3) Efficient- I was a walk in on a Sunday but I literally was in and out in 10 minutes after signing a disclosure form. 4) Hypoallergenic studs are already included in the charge. 5) No push to buy unnecessary saline or antibiotic solutions that could be easily made at home. (They do give you a slip of paper with some general clean up instructions)To sum up my own experience-  the piercing hurt less than the finger prick to check iron levels before donating blood! It's also been 10 ish hours since I got them done this morning and I really don't feel any soreness or burning at all. I can even bend and touch the area without any discomfort! Located in a corner this tattoo shop is a gem. Since you see it you can see that they are clean and that leaves a lot to say. Best of all they accept walk-ins. When you enter, it is as if you are entering the living room of their home. The decoration is varied, and I could notice that there are exhibitions of the artist in the walls, such as Bryan's lego paintings, which are wild! The seats and tattoo area is very clean and you can see how they get the sterile material and throw it when they finish with you. Before the artist gets started they take their time to know you and your art doing the best to please you. Thanks to Bryan for an amazing work! I cannot rave about the piece I had done here enough. I had a tattoo drawn and inked by Dana, a straight-forward and kind artist. I emailed her a week before the tattoo with some ideas and photos of what I wanted and when I arrived to get it done, I told her what changes I wanted (and there were quite a few). She then made the changes within 45 minutes (after telling me it was my tattoo and she wouldn't be at all offended with anything I didn't like about her sketch). I have had 5 piercings (2 nostril, septum, daith, tragus) and one tattoo done here so far. I have had nothing but great experiences here! Iain has done the majority of my piercings and he is just awesome. Super fast and efficient! Unless they're busy, I can be in and out pretty quickly. They are very affordably priced, yet professional and clean. Sara Bell (who is in my opinion, THE best artist at Lucky 13) did my tattoo and I absolutely love it, and get many compliments on it. Many people recognize that it's her work, or when I say "Sara Bell did it, you know, the best artist at Lucky 13," they ALWAYS agree. Expect to plan your tattoo with her over the course of a week or two because she can be a bit slow to reply, but she is great to work with and I love her artwork.I know this place kinda has a mixed reputation around the area, but I would say for most geenral piercings like nose/septum or anything in your ears, it's so worth it to go here! I've had friends have poor experiences with more complicated piercings, like surface piercings in what I think are terrible locations that were asking to reject. Definitely consider it for a long time if you're going to get piercings anywhere below your face. But otherwise, I've brought friends here to get some piercings and often recommend the shop, because I have nothing bad to say about the place. I imagine I'll be coming here for many more piercings in the future.Something that may help some people: I've thought about getting my nipples pierced, but I'd prefer to get titanium rings. Lucky 13 only offers stainless steel, and will not pierce you with jewelry that you bring in (I have asked). Just thought I'd share! Read Less

Got my third tattoo, nipples, and septum pierced here! The lady who did my nipples was very nice and attentive. She walked me through the cleaning process and answered all my questions and made the process as quick and painless as nipple piercings could get. Same with the guy who did my septum, he was funny and made it a better experience. Only complaint I have is if they only have one sized nipple bar? I feel like the one I was given was way too small and caused a lot of issues while healing and after I did my own research realized the reason why it was being so difficult was because the bar was too tight and lo and behold when I got a longer bar it healed up perfectly.For my tattoo Q did it and it came out better than the reference picture I gave him! I was really hesitant getting tattooed here when I saw the reviews but decided I liked the environment the last time I came so I went anyway. Q did such a great job and was very friendly and checked up on me frequently through the entire process, even added some white ink to make it really pop! I came to Richmond to hang out for the weekend and thought a body piercing would be a good idea.  The shop was neat and spacious, and had a few customers. Piercings are done in the back of the shop. Here's why I give 3 stars...this was my 1st body piercing and I was nervous. Although I could tell the guy was a professional and very cool, he did nothing to calm my nerves! He was very straight forwad and to the point (which I am sure some people may like) I would have liked if he explained the process a little more and assured me that it would be a quick and easy. I love this shop! They have some fantastic artists and a very welcoming environment. I went in to get some old tribal work covered and had my first session. On my next appointment I will be getting it colored in after many years of having a tattoo I hated. The care that went into working with me to get what I wanted, (comic characters in a specific style), drawn up and placed, made all the difference.The shop is extremely clean, friendly, and best of all safe. You get what you pay for. I got an industrial piercing at Lucky 13 awhile back because it was the cheapest option I found. The experience in the shop was fine; everything looked clean, gloves and new needles straight out of the package were used, and the staff was not particularly friendly but professional. The piercing itself wasn't any more painful than any others, but almost immediately I noticed that the bar wasn't lined up perfectly, so it was tugging slightly at my upper cartilage. Within a few hours I had radiating pain through my head that I've never experienced before. It took several months for it to stop aching and not be painful to the touch, including cleaning. Because of the improper alignment the piercing migrated and ripped through the top of my ear less than a year after getting it.Thankfully my ear healed and I recently went to another shop to give the industrial a second try. I paid three times as much, but there was zero pain, it's perfectly placed, and I've been able to still sleep on that side since day one without any issues. Read Less

Chris did my Phoenix tattoo to cover up a poorly done dove tattoo. I took plenty of pictures from the internet. He traced my arm first and I gave him a deposit to come up with a one of a kind Phoenix from the inspiration of all the pictures. That was in January 2014. I got my ears pierced with Iain, and it was super easy! Probably took 3 minutes for both ears, and I had my lobes done. I have a pretty severe needle-phobia, but he was understanding and made it quick and low-stress. Also, all their earrings are hypoallergenic, which is great for people who have bad reactions to certain types of metals! Read Less

I walked in on a Sunday afternoon with a tattoo idea. It was a small Pisces symbol behind my ear. They knew exactly how to execute it and were quick. The whole visit took only about 25 min. My artist was Jerry. He was very nice and accommodating. He was also a hilarious man. Their minimum is $50 for a small tattoo which is very cheap, and he did a pretty good job. It wasn't that painful since it was literally three lines that took less than a minute lolMy brother comes here often for his tattoos and recommended me to come here. My daughter has wanted her navel pierced and I wanted a cartilage piercing. The lady that was at the counter was great. She didn't act like we were bothering her by asking questions, and it was extraordinarily busy. Iain was fabulous and did a great job on both piercings. I went in to get my nipples pierced and once I walked in I got really nervous and kept asking every question I had about the process and everything. Despite my frantic nature, Charlotte and Iain were very nice and patient with me and answered all of my questions. I appreciated this because I've been to shops where I felt they were being condescending since I'm not covered in tattoos or piercings. Iain was my piercer and he was so awesome. Waited in line outside for 2 hours and the service I received was well beyond worth the wait. The gentleman I worked with was very patient and kind, the facility was very clean. I can here with a friend for my first tattoo. I was super nervous but really excited. The tattoo I wanted was right in my budget and was a lot larger than I expected (that made me happy)! There was a little bit of a wait which we expected. When we got back to the artist's station, I got more nervous but he talked to me the whole time. I came to Lucky 13 to get my nose pierced. It was something I had put off for awhile because I was worried about my skin reacting due to me not having good experiences in the past with piercings. I can't even begin to express how impressed I was with the cleanliness of the facility and how quickly the piercing took! I was blown away at how easy it was and I have had no issues at all with my piercing since. It probably took less than 5 mins total of me coming in and leaving with a new piercing. I would recommend this place to anyone going for their first body piercing...I will definitely go back again!! The staff is super professional and accommodating...they really do a good job helping you stay calm if you're nervous about needles and what not. Went here on a whim with my friend to get the other side of my nose pierced. The shop is split in 2 sections: the storefront is the tattoo area, and down a small hall is the piercing section. Charlotte was able to take me back ASAP.It seems like the piercers each have a little closed off alcove of their own that functions almost like a desk. Charlotte had photos of her family and little note boards around her piercing table. It was quieter and dimmer than I'm used to which I loved (one of my big gripes about tattoo shops is the insanely loud music that only raises my stress levels). Instruments were clean. After she did my nose, I asked if she could do another which she was perfectly cool with. So I ended up with a nose and a conch piercing.Both healed well, although my nose ring did get the dreaded 'bump' for a few months afterwards. But all is clear!Will definitely be back. Read Less

On piercings: My session was with Charlotte for daith piercings and nostril. I am completely happy with my experience at Lucky 13; Charlotte was completely professional, courteous, and competent. I'd definitely return to her if I wanted more piercings or if I had questions. The procedure itself was quick and virtually painless. At one point I didn't even realize she was already finished with the piercing, she was that efficient and confident, she knows what she's doing. The aftercare she recommended has been 100% on point. If her instructions are followed, there will be no issues with healing your piercings. At $20 a pop (above the waist), not bad at all. Currently sitting in another tattoo shop in another state, told that I have to go back to Lucky 13 because (as I suspected) they don't touch another artist's work. Also without asking the artist here could see my tat was done wrong. I have a few tattoos and none have ever healed like this, so terribly. It is August 21st and I got this done June 30th.My interest in Lucky 13 began waning during my college years when every time I'd come in and they'd say they could not a certain size, when I knew for a fact that I'd seen it done. Since then I've only gotten my tragus and nose done which have all been fine. Although, on the trip back when I got this tat, my friend got her nipples done and had to remove one because it was getting infected to which she was told that it was done wrong. On this trip back I got the tat in support of my friend. Considering it was on my finger I wanted to take extra care, but then remembered when I left the artist gave me no instructions and acted like every request I made was absurd. It's time I finally review this place! I can't speak for their tattooing, but as far as piercings go, I am very pleased.I have been pierced 4 times in the last year (rook, conch, nose, nose) and I have never had a poor experience. Ian is my piecer of choice, he's very chill and makes the process as painless and enjoyable as possible. The facility is clean and environment is pleasant. I stopped in on a spur of the moment decision last week and ended up getting 3 ear piercings! I had never been here before but felt very comfortable around everyone. Iain was my piercer and he did a wonderful job! He pierced my conch, took, and my tragus and all in all it wasn't too painful! He was very nice, quick, and gentle. I was visiting from out of town this weekend and decided to get a tattoo while in Richmond! I didn't have an appointment and called to ask about doing a possible walk-in. I was told to come on in by a friendly voice so I did. The staff here are overwhelmingly friendly and that's really refreshing to find in a tattoo shop. My artist Sara was talented and helped me decide on the best colors to use on my tattoo. We talked about price before getting started and she cut me what I think is a really fantastic price. My friend just got a tattoo behind her ear done by Brian. It is terrible, she is so un happy and he clearly messed up and then refused to admit that he messed up, he was too cocky and arrogant. I have only had piercings done here, but I always had a good experience whenever I went to Lucky 13 (I've gotten a couple ear piercings as well as a labret piercing done here). In comparison to other places I've gotten piercings done (where it was 3x the price and not done correctly), their pricing for piercings and professionalism is a dream. I always get a little sad when I think about how I no longer live in Richmond and can't just make a short trip to Lucky 13 for a random piercing. $20 for piercings above the waist, go to piercings on the left side (reception desk is actually tats only). I got my nose pierced and the piercer did a great job. Plan to spend like an hour here because it's always busy and you gotta wait around. For the record, nose piercing didn't really hurt and I didn't have any issues afterwards. Nostril piercings takes about 4-6 months to heal fully, and septums are 6-8 months so fall/winter is the time to go if you want to make it in time for summer beaches/lakes. The piercers are professional but one told me to use Dial soap...which is ok, but not the best solution for piercing aftercare and I honestly don't recommend this method. Use non-iodized salt water solution and there's a spray called H2Ocean on Amazon that's amazing. I also felt like I was being rushed but the lady was nice and I understood - there was at least 10 people waiting in that lobby. Extra $3.75 charge if using credit card, so bring cash. Read Less

Came here on a Friday the 13th and man was it packed! My lady friend (who was actually the one getting pierced) and I anticipated this, though it surpassed even our expectations of how busy it was going to be. Still, somehow managed to find a parking space on the street beside Lucky 13 and squeezed our way through the tattoo section to get to the piercing section.Despite the level of business, the workers kept people pretty well organized and moving through the paperwork process. We only waited 15-20 minutes or so, then were called in and politely run through the process by the piercer (can't recall her name, wish I had paid better attention), who was incredibly nice and professional. It only took a few minutes for my lady friend to get her belly button pierced and then get instructed on how to keep it clean and whatnot. The whole thing was quite impressive, and for only $10 because of it being Friday the 13th. What a deal!I'm not the piercing/tattoo type, though my lady friend already wants to go back to get more done. Thumbs up for Lucky 13!Overall: 4.5 stars------Pros:- Go on Friday the 13th! $10 piercings (above the belt) and $10 small tattoos from a selected list.- Atmosphere is pretty cool, though it's sometimes challenging to appreciate when the place is packed.- Staff members are very friendly and professional. I am a healthcare professional and was very picky about where I was going to have my work done .I inspected the place out VERY WELL about using sterile equipment, and made sure everything was single-use, disposable ink, and needles. I don't know what that other person is describing either that wrote the bad review, but I got a piercing AND a tattoo there and didn't have the first bit of trouble with getting any infections. I would like to know did your friend follow the instructions on how to care for the piercing...humm...It was very clean, the staff was knowledgable and fun, and I had a wonderful experience. I have seen the old shop they had directly across from where they are now and it was nasty. My friend got pierced at their new shop and it looks nicer then what it used to be. But there is no privacy and they were short and mean. I have been warned about them with their "" 20 dollar piercings"".
