I first came to this shop in 2012 and got an all day tattoo from Brian Bruno. I have been collecting for a while by then and felt he was the best, most professional tattooer I have ever sat with. When the time came to get more work, I signed on for an 18 month project and haven't regretted it! I even brought my daughter in to get tattooed by Brian! He's the best! Professional, fast, efficient, and well-worth his fee. He has a good, healthy attitude and is just great dude, which in the long run might mean even more than the top quality work he does.The other guys (Mike Rennie) in the shop are great too! I get to see a lot of their work while I'm there and overhear their professional interactions with customers. They really go out of their way to make sure customers get the tattoo they deserve. They also have renowned artist from around the world come in and guest from time to time. I have been lucky enough to collect from Timothy Hoyer a few times as well.It's sad to see this last-of-the-old-school shops move, but I'm confident that it'll be even better at the new location!

I have gotten tattoos by 3 different people in this shop and am enticed to try all. Such an abundance of talent and raw knowledge of a now saturated craft. You are in the presence of decades of talent that want nothing more than to put your vision in your skin.
Mike Rennie has done my feet, my ribs and a half sleeve, he is more than reasonable as well as diverse in his ability.
All that being said, tattoos suck, they hurt and the less detail you have in what you want, the more left to artist interpretation. I am not saying they are not up to the challenge, but when you find yourself unhappy I would not lend blame if you are the ultimate arbiter.

All the guys here seem like really great, cool, and awesome artists. But I have gotten all my work from David Boisineau.David is THE MAN.He has been doing my tattoos since 2009. He has done two forearm pieces for me, and a back piece. I love all the art David has done for me, and couldn't be happier with the service, experience, or tattoos themselves.He is one of the coolest dudes I have ever met, and a top A tattoo artist in my opinion. While I respect and appreciate all good tattooists and their work (most especially at this shop), at this point I wouldn't get work done by anyone but David.He has always given me super fair prices, great experiences, and amazing tattoos.Do yourself a favor - and if you have a cool idea or project in mind - go see David at Absolute to get the best: (1) experience, (2) workmanship, and (3) tattoo - like you couldn't get anywhere else!

I was visiting from NY and stumbled upon this place before going to a show next door at Strange Matter. Ended up getting tattooed next the day by Mike Rennie. Mike was really cool to work with, friendly, professional, and did a sick job on a piece that he had just drawn up for me the day before. Highly recommend this place, they're awesome!

Everyone here is amazing and don't judge when I want a simple tattoo. Keith is super understanding and although it was a small tattoo on my ribs, it wasn't fun, but he made me feel comfortable and distracted me. This is my third tattoo here and Mike did another. Both amazing and again, they're so nice and don't judge when I've heard many shops laugh at people's ideas for tattoos. Although simple and probably not fun, I'm not leaving feeling like they feel they wasted their time.

Great first tattoo experience! Got me in quickly (on a holiday, no less!) & was in & out in a flash & Keith worked with me on editing my reference picture & did a great job tattooing. I was kind of wary of coming because the reviews were lower than some of the other places I had looked at, but the staff was super accommodating & very friendly & made me feel comfortable to use them. Highly recommend.

I got my second tattoo here, on my ribs, and it was a great experience! Whenever people see it they love it! It hasn't faded one bit in 4 years. It's a scorpion with my name in it, but it's so well blended sometimes people can't see the name till I point it out. I love it, I took a tiny little sketch I had made and my idea was transformed into true art!

Everyone here is amazing and don't judge when I want a simple tattoo. Keith is super understanding and although it was a small tattoo on my ribs, it wasn't fun, but he made me feel comfortable and distracted me. This is my third tattoo here and Mike did another. Both amazing and again, they're so nice and don't judge when I've heard many shops laugh at people's ideas for tattoos.
