I came in this shop on 2/19/18 at about 3pm as a walk-in. Understandably this day happened to be a holiday, I was surprised they were even open, and there was only one guy working. Anyway, the guy who was at the front desk was working drawing up a sketch for a customer patiently sitting. Maybe this guy was having a bad day, thats fine, but what's the point of making a potential customer feel stupid. He was a complete asshole. I tried to explain what I wanted, what size, and where but he had a horrible attitude and I felt completely uncomfortable. I thanked him for his time and left as soon as our conversation ended. I brought my vision for a tattoo to cover a surgical scar. John and I talked about it in detail and I ended up coming back to get it done. John took such care making sure it was placed correctly to cover the scar. He put his artistic spin on it and I came out w. A perfect tattoo. He's not heavy handed and it honestly did not hurt. I got to meet Brandon, a very cool guy who does awesome work but Jeff Shelton~Davis who also works there did my tattoos yesterday and I couldn't be more pleased and happier that I went there which was my first time going there! I came in to the shop for my wife to potentially get a tattoo for her birthday on Saturday 3/19/16 at 5:45 p.m. After we were talked down to by this "gentleman" with a teardrop tattoo by his eye and treated like we were stupid, we were quoted a price that was way too much for a tattoo of that size.  I could understand if we walked in right before the shop closed, but that wasn't the case.  We had long sleeves and long pants on, so maybe we didn't look like the usual clientele, but we do have 21 tattoos between the both of us.  Maybe he felt a palm tree and flamingo was below him, but if he were the only artist in Richmond, I would gladly travel long distances than deal with him or the pretentious shop he works at. Josh was superb!! He took my original, intricate drawing and transformed it beautifully for a tattoo. I couldn't have been more pleased with his skill and style. Especially his help with a couple parts of the drawing that I could not seem to get quite right myself. It's beautiful and I will cherish it forever (literally!) I've been working on a sleeve with Brandon for months. It doesn't get a whole lot better than this. We are lucky to live in a city packed full of tattooers, but sometimes that makes sorting through them even more difficult. Let me help you out. You want a well renowned, talented, clean, easy to sit with, unique tattooer. This is your guy. And, NO ONE does colors like Brandon. The new space is magnificent, and it's only barely moved in to at this point. This was my fifth tattoo but only my 3rd medium to large tattoo.   I picked Brandon Saunders after looking for a tattoo artist for awhile and planning a tattoo on my shoulder that connected an existing tattoo and slightly wrapped over my collar bone. Brandon was personable, talented and patient.  He worked from a picture, his drawing and my flower I'd picked that morning.  The price was appropriate to the service and I'd go again.  Of course, I recommend tipping when visiting!  He took a lot of breaks but I didn't mind because I always like taking a break when getting tattooed.  He also had a lot of good books to read and it was practicly painless.
