I had done some research for an artist who can do a galaxy or cosmic tattoo. I found Corinne’s work and messaged her to see if she’d be available and willing to work with me. I came all the way from Michigan and Corinne understood exactly what I wanted and the tattoo turned out better than I imagined! I have other tattoos all done by the same artist and Corinne was only the second tattoo artist I’ve worked with but I’m very glad i did. I got the tattoo on my ribs which is known to be a sensitive area to tattoo but I felt like she had a very gentle touch and it didn’t hurt nearly as bad as I thought it would. I literally cannot recommend this place enough. I felt so welcome the second I walked in the door. Like many other reviews I've read, it feels very clean when you walk in, which is a great sign off the bat. They have beautiful artwork on the walls and the aesthetic of the entire place is gorgeous, in my opinion.The receptionist was very responsive and got to action the second I walked in so that she could help me out. I didn't get her name, but she has purple streaks in her hair and has a softer voice. My artist was Corinne. The second I started talking to her I felt much less nervous (social anxiety is gross). She's very chill, sweet, and adorable. I explained to her what I was looking for, and she seemed genuinely excited to do the piece. She explained to me how we would customize it exactly to my liking, and was very mindful of my budget. I was super lucky, because someone didn't show up to their appointment, so they had a few hours to spare. Since mine was only going to take an hour, she offered for me to do it right then and there. I obviously couldn't refuse. She literally showed me the Photoshop window while she was designing it, making sure I got literally every detail I wanted. She made sure I had it on the exact right place on my body, and the exact size I wanted. For the location I wanted, she said I would probably have to take my shirt off. There were curtains to provide privacy, so I was okay with that, but I told her I was really self-conscious about my body. She assured me that she's worked with people of every shape and size, and that she was totally not judgmental. It really helped me be more comfortable around her and I found I wasn't that shy after that.This was my first bigger tattoo. I have two other ones, but those never lasted more than ten minutes. So obviously, this was going to be a bit of a different experience. Not to mention the place I wanted it (My collarbone) Is one of the more painful areas to get it done, but I knew I wanted it there. At first I was pretty still. While it did hurt, the longer it went on, the worse it got, for me, at least. She was very insistent on letting her know if I needed a break. I did once or twice, and my legs squirmed a little, but she was still very steady and unphased by any movements I made. I'm honestly not sure if I could've found anyone else that would've helped me through it better than she could. She kept reassuring me that I could do it and that it would be worth it in the end. She was totally right.I'm beyond thrilled with the results. It's everything I'd hoped it'd be and more. I'm going back here for every single one of my tattoos, without a doubt. Read Less

While on vacation my mother and I got matching tattoos. We drove around for an entire day from one shop to another. This was our last stop. Corinne took the time to look at a few pics and quote us.. price was good and her vibe was good. We made appointments for a few days later. As a cover up, I had to look at the pictures in order to see where the old ink was. No old ink can be seen. I am so happy with it. Hats off to Brad and Human Canvas! Amazing ink and exceptional customer service. My two brothers and I decided to get matching tattoos of our Scottish family crest before I get married in October. I live in Florida and was just visiting for the weekend so I was crunched for time. We had everything scheduled a few months ahead to come in Sunday morning before I had to take off. Then American Airlines changed my flight to early Sunday morning. Noooooo! So my brother called to apologize and cancel the appointment, but Brad was understanding and was actually able to squeeze us in on Saturday night instead. Awesome! I am so happy with how the tattoo turned out. It was quick, as little pain as possible, and the entire studio was very clean. He was very professional and relaxed which is how a tattoo artist should be. It was my second tattoo but one of my brothers has never gotten one before, and he helped put his mind at ease. I just had my first tattoo - the Simba cave painting from The Lion King - done by Brad, and I love it. He was precise, made sure I was okay throughout the whole process, and just a really nice dude. He also let me watch him open the new needle from its individual pack, as well as put on fresh gloves many times as to ensure the overall cleanliness/sanitation of the process. My piece of advice for people wanting tattoos (in general) - know exactly what you want before going in. Don't just have a vague idea in mind, know exactly how you want it and where. If it's a custom piece, draw it up /yourself/ or have an artist friend do it BEFORE going in to have your tattoo artist try to see what you have in mind. Because they don't know what's all in your head, and you probably can't convey it all properly unless you have a reference FIRST. A permanent piece of art on your body is not something you should plan half-assed, because then you'll end up spending more money getting it redone because you weren't exactly sure what you wanted. Think on it for a few months at least, have all of your own references ready, then make the appointment, and they will help you out the best they can. Tl;dr? Basically, here's some advice: know exactly what you want BEFORE GOING IN. Have your own references, especially it's a custom piece, so the artists don't have to guess what you want. Overall about the parlor - Brad did an amazing and thorough job, all of the staff were friendly and easy-going, and it was very clean. I'll definitely be going back to Brad for my next tattoo(s).
