Edwin/Mono has perfect line-work. I've seen him 3 times now and cannot find anything negative to say about him or his pieces! He and all the other artists are SO nice and definitely make you feel welcome and comfortable. I recommend this place to all my friends. If you're still trying to make up your mind on a place to go, look no further!

I found Lee on Instagram in November and have since gotten 3 tattoos from him. That being said- I did my research first, went in for a consult, and I’m a happy customer.
The google reviews had me scratching my head- there was a lot of name calling and blaming.
Firstly, if you’re going to get a tattoo- time management is something you can help with. Artists will try their best to make appointments- but they should NOT rush another client to accommodate you. Make sure to ask questions- like “when is your appointment before me?” “Is it a big piece?” “What did you quote time-wise?” -and then add an hour and make your appointment for then. No one should rush art. Especially on ones skin for eternity. It’s got to be perfect and it’s the artists job to make sure it is. I give myself lots of time after an appointment so that if Lee is running late- I can just go eat or hang there or whatever.
Secondly, there are some reviews complaining about fine lines. There is an easy trick to pick someone to do fine lines- put a piece of paper on their hand and see if they can keep it steady. It seems silly, but this is a trick for doctors getting hired so if you’re worried ahead, plan accordingly.
Next, my experience- I drive 2 hours to this place just for Lee. My tAts heal amazingly, and the hustle butter they sell is on my level-lots of great natural-healing ingredients. Now, I do feel like I’m an obnoxious customer. I never know where to put my tats (I’ve been collecting ideas for 10 years and wAiting for the right time to start inking)....but He hasn’t once made me feel stupid or like ive wasted time. In fact- I almost made my chest tat too small and he adjusted it and I am grateful...it would have looked whack much smaller. Also I feel like it’s pretty expensive to go here, but I would rather pay more for something quality then pay little and have the artist not be paid fairly for their skill. As far as communication goes- I know Lee is on top of it. I cant speak for the others, but I’m happy with the communication. I’m not sure why there are reviews claiming communication is bad, because every one has their days and it’s not fair to judge one experience by giving a small business owner a 1 Star review when you’re not a repeat customer or even tried to be. I’ve waited to get 3 tats before even writing a word. And word to the wise- everyone deserves a second chance.
Lastly, I obviously recommend this place. I wouldnt drive so far for it. Lee is respectful, open-minded, smart and very talented. Have you even seen Kristina’s work either? OMG that girl can slay!

I love the people there and the atmosphere of this place, but their time Management and communication is awful. This is the second time that I had to wait over 30 min. for the artist to come and they don’t show up. They will apologize and promise a better price but they’ll charge you regular price even though they made a mistake!

I walked it with a plain outline of a name ( Jose ) that I was cold and lifeless and gave it so much life.

My buddy recommended me this place from a recent tattoo that he had recently received, so I set my girlfriend up with Vinh to get a consultation. She had a small tattoo on her right wrist that she wanted to have covered up. She picked a very colorful lion tattoo that was very very intricately detailed. She was indecisive regarding the size that she wanted but Vinh did not mind drawing the tattoo up until she was completely satisfied. His quick sketches alone were incredible! ...The tattoo itself took almost 3 hours to complete. The perfectionism that Vinh displayed was ridiculous. I've never seen somebody craft their art to such a degree. Right when you thought it was done, he worked for another 15 minutes to ensure that everything perfect. He even asked for her to come back in to add another coat to a tattoo that looked flawless to me, not to mention the fact that he said it would be for free. It is remarkably apparent as to the degree of effort and pride that he takes in his work, much respect. The rest of the staff were also incredible, especially the artists. I got to see three tattoos-including my girlfriends-and the outcomes from each case were all incredible. There doesn't seem to be much of anything that they have either not performed before or are not willing to attempt and eventually perfect. The atmosphere alone is simply fun and they include all of their customers as if they were great friends. I do not personally have a tattoo but I think that will all change in a couple of weeks strictly based off of my experience simply watching the work take place. Not only that but I will absolutely recommend anybody and everybody remotely interested in a tattoo to Art of War Tattoo Collective. See More

Devon (inkbystorm on IG) formally of Way of Ink is the reason why I came to this shop. His work in itself is REMARKABLE!!!! He can tattoo ANYTHING!! His knowledge of art coupled with his visionary abilities makes him the best artist I've encountered in my 15 years of getting tattoos.
His teaming with the professionalism of the owner Vinh; is why this shop is the best in this area. There are several other artists at this shop that I haven't had the opportunity to work with, but if what I've seen thus far is indicative of their talents. I will would gladly go to anyone in this shop. This place is the absolute best!!!

From old school to super fine line work to photo realistic pieces they can do it all hi tech equipment...they can take pics off your phone and make a stencil for your tat. My first piece there was a cover up and Lee Uchiha knocked it outta the park!!! Love it already talking to him about several more pieces...looking for a top notch professional studio go to Art Of War Collective!! You cant go wrong!!!

I called and spoke with Lee told him what I was looking for. The very next day I was in the shop reviewing the custom drawing of my tattoo. We made a few changes but nothing significant. It was apparent Lee paid attention to every detail I gave him over the phone. Within minutes we went to work. The facility was clean professional and friendly with an upbeat attitude. Everyone there treated me with the utmost respect from the first phone call to the multiple calls over the next couple of days to see how I was doing and how the tattoo was healing. Closing time was 9 one the first day but we stayed til 2 in the morning to make sure the particular piece of the sleeve we were working on was complete with color. It was absolutely gorgeous. I was back the next day to outline all the other pieces of the sleeve that we were unable to get to the first day and again was amazed at the level of detail put into each piece of the design as well s the treatment I received from everyone at the facility. Everyone kept checking on me not just the artist that was doing the tattoo to make sure I had everything I needed. The tattoo came out far better than I ever expected and I can't wait to go back now in a week and a half to finish it. I can't than Lee enough for the amazing work he did on this piece. If you are looking for mediocre piece go to another shop but if you are looking for a piece you can be proud to were for the rest of you life go to Art of War Collective. You won't be disappointed

I'm going to be really honest here. These artists are talented and all around great people. I've only gotten small stuff from them, but they are not egotistical in any sense. You have a suggestion, they are open to hear it and they will do their damnedest to give you what you're thinking. They go above and beyond in every aspect. Music is always bumping, reception is very welcoming and cooperative, and the whole place is spotless. I'm not the type to just hand out compliments, but believe me these guys deserve all the credit when credit is due. Trust them with your vision and they will deliver above and beyond.

I have 6 tattoos, four of which I have got from this shop! I walked in because I was recommended by a friend. I had no idea what I wanted to get, but the girl at the front desk asked me what style I was interested in. I described the tattoo I was thinking of getting, and she brought back lee to talk to me. He helped me come up with the perfect day of the deal girl tattoo. His work was amazing and he was very accommodating, asking if I needed any water to asking if I wanted to pick my own music. I have come to him for all my other tattoos. The other artist offered advice to my future ideas for tattoos and I love the atmosphere of this place. I have found my new permanent tattoo shop. I recommend this shop to anyone interested in getting a tattoo and making a personal connection with their artist.

I got my first tattoo done by Ezee at Art of War. I had an awesome experience and all of the staff was awesome! The receptionist was really sweet and calming, and was really kind about my story behind my tattoo. I would 100% recommend AOW as a place to get a tattoo done.

Tried to make another appointment with this shop then the owner gives my spot to someone else. Complete waste of time, effort and money! Go with a tattoo shop...!

I called and spoke with Lee told him what I was looking for. The very next day I was in the shop reviewing the custom drawing of my tattoo. We made a few changes but nothing significant. It was apparent Lee paid attention to every detail I gave him over the phone. Within minutes we went to work. The facility was clean professional and friendly with an upbeat attitude. Everyone there treated me with the utmost respect from the first phone call to the multiple calls over the next couple of days to see how I was doing and how the tattoo was healing. Closing time was 9 one the first day but we stayed til 2 in the morning to make sure the particular piece of the sleeve we were working on was complete with color. It was absolutely gorgeous. I was back the next day to outline all the other pieces of the sleeve that we were unable to get to the first day and again was amazed at the level of detail put into each piece of the design as well s the treatment I received from everyone at the facility. Everyone kept checking on me not just the artist that was doing the tattoo to make sure I had everything I needed. The tattoo came out far better than I ever expected and I can't wait to go back now in a week and a half to finish it. I can't than Lee enough for the amazing work he did on this piece. If you are looking for mediocre piece go to another shop but if you are looking for a piece you can be proud to were for the rest of you life go to Art of War Collective. You won't be disappointed

I'm going to be really honest here. These artists are talented and all around great people. I've only gotten small stuff from them, but they are not egotistical in any sense. You have a suggestion, they are open to hear it and they will do their damnedest to give you what you're thinking. They go above and beyond in every aspect. Music is always bumping, reception is very welcoming and cooperative, and the whole place is spotless. I'm not the type to just hand out compliments, but believe me these guys deserve all the credit when credit is due. Trust them with your vision and they will deliver above and beyond.

the only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because I had to wait a little bit after my scheduled appointment time to get started. but over all, I had a great time

I have 6 tattoos, four of which I have got from this shop! I walked in because I was recommended by a friend. I had no idea what I wanted to get, but the girl at the front desk asked me what style I was interested in. I described the tattoo I was thinking of getting, and she brought back lee to talk to me. He helped me come up with the perfect day of the deal girl tattoo. His work was amazing and he was very accommodating, asking if I needed any water to asking if I wanted to pick my own music. I have come to him for all my other tattoos. The other artist offered advice to my future ideas for tattoos and I love the atmosphere of this place. I have found my new permanent tattoo shop. I recommend this shop to anyone interested in getting a tattoo and making a personal connection with their artist.
