WOULD NOT RECOMMEND, YOU WILL WASTE YOUR MONEY! This is by far the worst experience I've ever had in my live!Reo seems to always have an attitude or come off very rude. My double helix piercing was done diagonal not straight, it was done so slanted that I couldn't even put another peircing in it. I could not sleep on the side of my head where the peircing was because I was in so much pain. Also I found out he put a NOSE PIERCING in my ear instead of a ear peircing, my ear was suffocating and could not heal. He refused to hear me and and give me a refund and tried to flip it on me and say that I probably snagged it, which I did not . I got my nose pierced here 7 years ago. He did a good job but wasn't overly friendly. And he seemed to have gotten less friendly as time has gone by.I got my (13 yr old) sister's 2nd lobe piercing today and I didn't enjoy the experience. There were just 2 people working. A man and a woman. When we entered there was someone at the counter and people sitting in the waiting area. We waited a few minutes until a woman came out and talked to the people ahead of us and then talked to us. She was friendly. She then walked back into the (seemingly only) room. Then came back out got us forms and the payment. We were never told how long the wait would be and could ask as she went back into the room. There is a room that kids were in and we did not see them but definitely heard them. After maybe 10 minutes we were led to the  room and my sister sat on the bed. Reo asked her what she was getting pierced and didnt say anything after that. He cleaned her lobes and marked them. He showed her the markings and asked if they were okay, and she said yes. Since she's 13 I looked them over as well to make sure. I didn't like how one side was and mentioned that it should be a little lower and he said no and explained the sequence of lobe piercings should curve upwards. I said yes it doesn't need to be at the bottom but it needs to be lowered a little bit. He seemed very annoyed that I question the marking but did re do it. I mentioned that my first holes were uneven so I didn't want her to have that problem and he ignored my comment. The attitude was very offputting. He proceeded to clamp and pierce her ears without saying anything. Not about what he was doing, if she was ready, nothing. The results were good. The placement was good. The needles were new. The used ones were placed in the proper receptacle. Everything was clean. He wore gloves etc.So I would say if you want the bare minimum then this is a good spot. But if you're expecting good customer service, a pleasant time, or a human experience then don't come here. I got my nose peirced here for the first time ever at Reo's, it was an impulse thing. I walked in and they were pretty busy it was 12:30 PM on a Tuesday so that should show you how many people actually go to Reo's. I had to wait for about 45 minutes but I didn't mind. The employees there are simply there to do their job and that's it. Reo may come off as rude to many people but he's just not a conversationalist and he takes his work serious. Had my belly pierced and he took way to much skin. Not only that but when he pierced it he went so slow with it. It was completely painful. When he went to screw the top on he dropped in my belly button and had to move the piercing around to get it. That was extremely painful. Ended up in so much pain from it I go sick. My experience with this business is different than most. I went with my niece for her second piercing and her first body piercing (tragus). We went late and he was there by himself. Filled out all the paper work but I have experience with piercing so she was properly prepared before hand. He was meticulous and every thing was sterile (MAJOR IMPORTANT) and patient with her. Truly I don't know how this man is still in business. Reo made me feel like a bother when I asked him to adjust the outline for my tattoo, as if I wasn't getting PERMANENT work done on my body. He was literally screaming at this wife on the phone while I was on his table. On top of that, it was my first tattoo and he didn't even bother asking me if I was okay the entire time. Over the years I've heard lots of bad things about this place and was hesitant to come in but there isn't much option in this area for piercers. I had a pleasant experience today tho. The facility is neat and clean, the gentleman who did the work was kind and had good customer service skills....but a year after receiving the tattoo, coloring is bleeding...so much shading was done as well that it just blurs everything, it's also raising all over. No one who sees it can tell what it is. Really disappointing! I went back after the tattoo to receive a piercing and a lady did the work. She was unfriendly and rude. do not go to Reo unless you want a rushed tattoo done by an extremely heavy-handed artist who apparently doesn't care if he rips your skin up. a friend, my fiance, and i went in as walk-ins for the same exact stencil–a small "dat boi" tattoo. the first was an outline on our friend, very shortly after the tattoo was done, massive blowouts became more obvious, basically destroying the nose of the frog. my tattoo came next, the same stencil with black and grey shading. i have a ...few blow outs, it is very obvious that the wheel on the unicycle was shaded solid black with a liner, dat boy is completely missing a foot, somewhere along the way he stopped drawing the innertube on the unicycle that looks like just plain negligence, and overall this shading does not make any sense. last of us was my fiance. Reo had clients in the waiting room, and my assumption is that instead of asking my fiance to wait or come back for a quality tattoo, he put him straight in the chair and worked him as fast as he could. my fiance's tattoo is also full color; it took Reo about the same amount of time he had taken on only the outline of our friends'. by day 3 into the "healing process", blood and ink were still pouring out of his tattoo. BEFORE you accuse us of negligence in aftercare, keep in mind we all have 20+ tattoos and are VERY diligent in aftercare procedure. Reo's heavy-handed skin-ripping landed my fiance in the ER with a nasty tattoo infection. not to mention he does not speak to you while you get tattooed, or wear gloves while setting up his machine, which i think is kind of fucking weird. and if you're still reading, you know those signs in his shop that say "control your kids or we will correct them"....his daughter ran up and HUGGED HIM while i was in the chair being worked on, with a needle in my skin. control YOUR kids, Reo. never going back to this sad excuse for a shop again and i am writing this review in hopes that whoever is reading this takes heed to my warning–STAY AWAY FROM REO'S TATTOOING IN DUMFRIES. So I went in overly excited to get a new tat I knew what I wanted paid my 50 dollars for an appointment. I sent the guy up front the pictures of what I wanted and two weeks later I'm come in to a drawing my little brother could have done who is 10 smh. I politely told him that was not going on my body and showed the artist more pictures of what I had in mind he kept telling me what he couldn't do in the area I had to work with smh Being that I didn't want to lose my 50 dollar investment I told him I would like to get my two son's name he rushed me and got upset when I told him to fix the heart and then overcharged me. Wow words can not describe how horrible this place is. First off there is so much security stuff in there it makes you feel like a criminal. Second good luck getting anyone to help you. Idk what else they do, but I feel like they are doing something sketchy. Anyway I've gotten my ears pierced here simply for the fact I couldn't find anyone else around to do it and didn't really care about it b/c I was planning to gauge them anyway. Went on my 18th birthday to get my nose pierced and the guy at the front desk was so friendly, said happy birthday and everything! we went back to the piercing room and waited for about 10 minutes...which was odd because the piercer was in the next room. he came in, said hello, dotted where the piercing was and let me okay it. it was very quick and pretty painless. three weeks later I accidentally ripped out the nose screw and couldn't get it back in so I went in and the guy ...at the front was the only one there (same guy) so he tried out a few hoops but he couldn't find the hole on the inside either...offered to wait for Reo to get there but I had to go so I just had him put the nose screw back in...I bought a nose ring there for just $10 and he said if I come back in 30 days (for it to heal) he'll put the hoop in free of charge (it's normally $5 for them to put it in which isn't bad at all!!!) Okay so.... I went in and talked to his wife (I think) and showed her the image that I wanted and explained everything, no big deal. Her daughter was running around and we played together, again no big deal. But when I got into the tattoo room he picks up the tattoo stencil and it's way off to the image but it still looked good, so I went with it. He didn't talk to me the ENTIRE TIME. Not a single word, and my boyfriend was there. He seemed very out of it and unfriendly. He h...ad no idea that my tattoo was supposed to be black (I got a black horse) It was supposed to be a freisan. I showed him and his wife many images of how the hair was supposed to be curly and they are very beautiful and majestic. When he finished, the eye was in the wrong spot. He left some open lines where they were supposed to connect. he shaded outside of the outline. the whole thing is just scary looking. It looks like a demon. He is also extremely heavy handed. Also my boyfriend got tattooed from him. His tattoo is a large dragon, he charged $750!!! and the ink has faded immensely. It looks really bad and we have only had the tattoos for about a year now. actually less. Don't go here. There are much better places. I won't even go back for a touch up. My husband and I were in a few days ago and both got tattooed by REO, he did an awesome JOB!!! I would recommend to anyone.  I did not read the reviews before going but after being there and reading them, my answer.. you can't please everyone.  Most tattoo artist have attitude's but at the end of the day all that matters is the work they do and Reo is awesome.  My husband and myself have more than one tattoo and were very impressed with Reo and will be seeing him for more work!!!! I do NOT recommend this place for anything, my first time in there around 2012, I wanted to get a price quote on a tattoo. I came in and there was a child at the counter who was about 9 years old and a man sitting in the seating area watching tv, im thinking maybe perhaps the child would get an adult for a customer but no, he did not. Im thinking the man watching tv is waiting his turn to get tattooed, but no, he is the tattoo artist. I was in there a good 15 min looking at the pictures on the wall before he got off his big ass to see if I needed help. I felt as though I was disturbing him during his tv time, he was not friendly at all. Fast forward a year, I made the mistake of going in to get a simple ear piercing. The woman who did it was nice enough and did an okay job, but gave no kind of after care instructions, I had to ask her if there was anything I should do to clean it and she told me to just keep it in for a week or so and to clean it with peroxide, all wrong! Went to get my nose pierced a few weeks after my birthday on a split second decision . I excitedly and nervously walked in and told the lady at the desk what I wanted she consulted Reo and told me he would be ready soon, which was true . After that I was expecting to be asked for an ID card and go through some semi extensive paperwork as I did with my navel piercing ( pierced in a different state ) but she didn't ask for anything ...I was very disappointed with the lack of nose rings they had to choose from as I was specific on the size I wanted . To the important part, he marked my nose and DIDNT EVEN LET ME SEE before he grabbed my nostril with some force and shoved the needle through .I went home and when I looked at the placement it was HORRIBLE , it was entirely too close too the edge of my nose . I went back to get it re-done 2 days later and he re-pierced it with this huge gold nose ring to my dismay but free of charge . He didn't even disinfect the area before piercing it. As I was leaving I expected to be handed something to clean my new piercing with but when I inquired the lady told me they didn't carry any and to just use rubbing alcohol . It later got infected . Went there and had a pretty large tattoo, even though the price wasn't horrible I paid for it with the quality of the tattoo.It was my first tattoo so I didn't understand what having a "heavy hand" can do until my father went there a few days after me. he said REO was one of the worst tattoo artists he's been to. my dad has 8 tattoos from a few different artists. my tattoo ended up bleeding out of the lines from him having such a heavy hand in a bout 6 different places. I also have scaring and I've had my tattoo for over a year now and it doesn't look horrible but I notice it and don't love it.I didn't realize how bad of a tattoo artist he was until I went to a different shop all the way in Fairfax to get my recent tattoo and my tattoo artist asked me where I got it and right when I said Dumfries VA he said "please tell me it wasn't Reo" he didn't have nice words to say about him! bottom line, the prices aren't bad but if you're looking for a good tattoo artist and someone without a heavy hand GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! you will have this on your body for the rest of your life.. pay the extra money!!! UGH ! The WORST tattoo artist ever ! I have 5 tattoos and went into this craphole to get my sixth with my friend and I will NEVER go back !!! This was her first tattoo and he didn't even explain the process or what she should expect I had to tell her. I remember my first tattoo the tattoo artist who worked with me (and has done my tattoos since) told me everything he was doing and making jokes trying to calm my nerves. He was super chill and my first experience was awesome. But this guy here is so rude. Didn't bother to have a conversion at all the entire time he was tattooing no breaks in between or asking how she's doing. Just horrible. Took my daughter to get her belly button pierced. Overall appearance was ok, but seemed a little unconcerned about our business. Very nonchalant almost unproffesional. Its a tattoo shop, I get that, I dont expect lavishness but a genuine interest in the service they are performing would have been appreciated. Me and my boyfriend went here on a whim to get lips tattooed $60/each, #3 for me. Reo himself did them and they look great!! Reo is a funny guy who looks to be very family oriented (pics everywhere). The studio is nice and clean with tattoo ideas adorning the walls and galleries of flip-throughs. If I'm ever out there again and need a tatt on a whim I may stop by there. One iffy is that he keeps a TV in the tattoo area which is a bit distracting. Read Less

I have 2 tattoos from Reo and the 1st is a dragon on my lower back. Its been 5 years and the color is all black and running into itself. Its like spreading to where the dragons foot now is 1 with its tail. Also the tattoo is almost completly raised and fading. When I called to inquire about this the lady told me "if its stretch marks we can't cover them". She didn't even let me get thru telling her it was "fading" The second tattoo is on my back shoulder and full color.
