I never gotten a tattoo here before however I went on black Friday for a quote because they were having a "deal" and it was definitely over priced. I went back to speak to someone else about a quote a couple of weeks later and they are supposed to be open at ten. It was 10:05 and the doors were still locked. I came in after I put the wrong type of piercing in my lip and could not get it out (my big mistake) and needed help getting it off because the ring was cutting my swollen lip. I had expected the piercing to end up having to be closed but their piercer was very quick and efficient. He was able to see me right away after preparing his station and quickly assessed my issue, he was informative and didn't beat around the bush. He was very quick and I was pleasantly surprised and very relieved when he was able to fix my problem. I only had to pay $15 for labor which I didn't care about, I just wanted the darn ring out. I would recommend them to anyone getting piercings and the artwork of the tattooists there is very quirky and high quality. They like to go out of their way to make you comfortable. Read Less

I am extraordinarily disappointed in this business. I came to visit my best friend here from South Carolina and we had planned to get tattoos together. When we were scheduling the appointment, we were given options for two days; Monday July 3rd or Tuesday July 4th as the 5th was the day I'd be leaving. We eventually scheduled for 12:00 on Monday the 3rd and put down a 50% deposit for each tattoo; amounting to $120. We called that morning (after trying to call several times th...e day before) to see if there was later availability that day because something had come up. We were then told by the woman up front with the undercut that we were down for Monday the 10th. Obviously this wasn't going to work simply because I wasn't going to be here, nor did I know when I'd be able to come back to Virginia. Since initially we were told that July 4th was an option, and we didn't want to waste our deposit, we tried to schedule for then. What seemed like a very last minute decision, she told us they decided to close for the day, and left us with no other options, no advice on what to do, and to put it frank just plain awful customer service. Especially since she mis-scheduled us in the first place and she did absolutely nothing to help resolve the issue when we asked for our deposit back as we obviously had no need to go here anymore. And actually, when we politely explained to her our situation, and asked for a refund or to speak to the owner/manager, she rolled her eyes at us. Needless to say I am extremely disappointed, angry, and we are now out $120 that will never be used. I'm glad I don't live here because I would never support this business after this very poor customer service experience. However, I'm sure the artists here are very talented, but it's a shame how we were treated. And for the record, we have a copy of the receipt for $120, scheduled for Monday the 3rd. Awesome little building (sketchy location) but the guy who pierced me was a total jerk (I believe his name was Matt). Not to mention, my piercings are extremely uneven. The guy made it clear that he didn't want to be there, especially when he made a comment on how he's only there to make his rent payment so I need to hurry because he didn't want to be there all day. Everything was extremely rushed which is probably why the piercing aren't even or at the same angle. If you want piercings, go somewhere else. I started a leg sleeve here about a month or so ago. My tattoo artist is Matte and he is GREAT. His work is beautiful and his lines are super clean. He always takes his time and makes sure that everything is perfect and you're happy. He always makes me feel welcomed and really listens to my thoughts and ideas. So yes I took my almost 11 year old to Schöndra to get her ears pierced inside a tattoo shop-haters going to hate. However-this Master Piercer is FREAKING AMAZING!! My daughter was in the chair for-ever as she debated whether or not she was going to go through with it. I could have throttled my kid towards the end but Schöndra kept her at ease-let my daughter be in control and told her she had all day to do this. After multiple tries/hits/tears she walked out of there with two pierced ears. I never felt rushed-she joked around with my daughter and yet told her how it would be. After the third phone call I was able to make a piercing appointment. Lots of unanswered questions about what age I could get piercings done for my two daughters. I took off work early and prepared my 3 year old to get her ears pierced. They called me an hour before the appointment to let me know they were unable to get a hold of the piercer. The only place I could find a piercer on hand to do my piercing in the area!!! Called multiple locations on a Thursday afternoon to have a piercing done and nobody had a piercer on hand working. I went and got some ink here and the team was awesome as hell, from the time I walked in to the time that I left! Dave was my artist and did a phenomenal job restoring an older tattoo, and adding a new one on the other arm, all for a dynamite price. Experience wise, I felt comfortable there. I got my very first tattoo here and it was amazing. Brian did my tattoo he did an EXCELLENT job on it. The healing process with smooth i didnt have any problems with it at all. I know this review should be for the studio itself and all that good stuff but lets be sincere, we are no longer in the 60's and 70's where we were limited to the tattoo artists near naval bases and resort-cities boardwalks, tattoo parlors are a dime-a-dozen now a days and the differential is nothing more than the artist's skills ALONG with customer service. This will define your experience. Nothing more, nothing less. Asepsis is not what sets you apart.
