STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!I honestly don't even know where to start. This was the worst experience I have ever had. I was optimistic. Went in for a coverup and despite my immediate feeling of the place being a bit run down ad unprofessional, I liked the owner and the kid, Fley?, that did my tattoo. It started with him making suggestions and I went with what he said he was good at which was a rose with not too many leaves and told me it would be extra for the color which was already overpriced but I said why not. I want this to be great. He started and his hands were heavy making it a very painful process. Understandably, it was the side of my groin area but the first one that he was attempting to cover up was there and did not feel nearly as bad. This is where thing turned from bad to worst. He was not at all experience and had a hard time following the layout he did in ink. He struggled to match with the photo he himself had selected and said he was good at. Strike two!! Then he used an open marker ( not disinfected) to draw new lines to follow!!! I couldn't take much more after over 2 hours sitting there while he tried to figure it out and the owner going back and forth looking at it unpleasantly and giving him tips to improve it. I was told it would only take an hour!!!! At the point where my body was in pain and near tears, I told him to do whatever it took to make it look good in less time. He spent another 30 minutes just scraping at my skin!!!!! Leaving a pile of paper towels alongside the needles covered in blood and ink!!Now, 4 days later, I'm still in pain, up can't sleep, called out of work tomorrow to try to go to the doctor as it seems infected!! And I'm sure that whole sharpie marker on my skin is partly to blame!!! That is not sanitary!!!!!!!!!!!!! And completely irresponsible and I'm sure there are rules against that!! To make matters even worse, the ink bled out!!! The same ink I had to pay more for!!!! The saddest part is through all this, the old tattoo is still visible!!!!!!! He tried to cover up a tattoo with black lined with red ink!! Another tattoo artist who looked at the tattoo said that was the most basic mistake that should not have even happened had he known what he was doing!!!!!!! The only color he should have used was black. To charge me more he suggested the red not knowing it would not cover it up! Which makes sense since now reading these reviews that he is an apprentice. CHEAP INK!!! UNPROFESSIONAL ATMOSPHERE AND UNEXPERIENCED "ARTIST" FOR LACK OF A BETTER WORD.I am now stuck with a crappy tattoo, pain, money wasted and more needed to fix the mess. Not to mention whatever DISEASE or ailments can come from the use of the used sharpie on my open "wound"!!!!!!!! As I'm sure I was not the first or last person that was used on!!! IT IS UNETHICAL!!!! Very professional and talented team, super easy to find, drive to, and park. Got my ears re-pierced here. I've let them grow shut a couple of times because I couldn't wear earrings in the Army. Also, professional piercing is far more sanitary and better done than those places in shopping malls. Fely did an awesome job and I barely felt anything. He made sure to show me the sanitary needles sealed in their packages. He used a fresh needle on each ear. Definitely recommend this establishment.Read Less

I've had my tattoo for about a week now. The place was super shady. When you walk in.. it's almost like walking into a crack house. Then, like 1 minute later, this chick comes down stairs and just stares at us with her hands in her pockets. It seemed super weird but I loved her artwork. My mother and I finally went upstairs to check her stuff out and everything seemed legit. She drew out what I wanted perfectly, but the pride was insane. 110$ for a tattoo that's not even bigg...er than a quarter. After I decided to get it, she did not wrap it. She gave me a packet of A and D ointment and said put this on. THATS IT. When I left, my arm was completely red around my tattoo, not normal redness, (I have 2 other tattoos, so I know what it's supposed to look like.) I left it alone but a week later, my skin looked like it was opening. No puss or anything; just seemed like the skin was rejecting the ink. I went to the doctor and I find out my tattoo is infected. Five days after getting my tattoo it faded and my best friend got the same tattoo the same day and her tattoo completely didn't take. Gas nothing to do with her skin cause she got another tattoo at another shop three days later and it came out great. When we asked to get ours touched up Vanh said she can't touch it up. I went to Vanh for a medium-sized piece on my left forearm. Within two weeks, most of the ink bled out. I returned a month later to have it fixed. She explained that she normally charges to fix her work, but she didn't charge me. The second time, only about 15 percent of the ink bled out within weeks. I had tattoos before that one and since. Actually, I now have two full sleeve tattoos (from different artists) and didn't have the same problem with the others. They required only a little touching up. I hate to leave a negative review but her work is awful!  The experienced artist who did my sleeves told me that she either didn't go deep enough or used bad ink.Furthermore, on my first visit, she was not there at the agreed time. If your an artist looking for an apprenticeship "DON'T" come to this studio. She's got a bad reputation for taking people money and never seeing it again. I was a student and was told my money non-refundable after showing her I have proof of payments with her signature on a typed up form saying I made a deposit toward my apprenticeship. I informed her of calling the DPOR because all she tells me is that I withdrawn myself from the apprenticeship which isn't true when I made ...it clear that I didn't want to continue to work with her any longer. I also informed her about the forms in need for the DPOR to start the apprenticeship but she dodged the question and tells me I need to make the hours before filling out any forms. Sounds like B.S. To me. I've spoken to many other EX - students who warned me about coming here but unfortunately I went in to see what this studio was about. It's clear to me this business of her is slowly going down. There's no real artist behind this tattoo studio and her coworker is not even near a real artist. She draws up most of the stencil for him and he proceeded doing the tatto with her work but unable to do it himself. That's not a tattoo artist without being an artist. Those on my back was done by Rob 2 ton tattoo that open hart and hunnington in Florida oh yeah to much of a drug addict to even know who Cary Hart is lol really hard to believe that one was married to PInk. Waiting on you 1 hour and 15 minutes to open. Alot of artist in Tn be seriously pissed about what all you had to say on my tattoos! !!. I do not agree nor disagree with previous posters...maybe different generation or mindset. If I want top notch customer service I will go to Nordstrom's or old school Macy's...however; if I want ART inked on my BODY for the rest of my LIFE, I go to an ARTIST. I choose Vanh! I am very particular and researched and shopped my projects at eight different studios. I chose Vanh! I looked for an Artist who does tattoos versus a tattoo person who does some art. You may choose different. I you want an off the display wall pre-made tattoo you very well maybe better suited going elsewhere. If you want ART go to Vanh. It really is forever...so choose wisely!!! BTW, I felt I received great customer service but I recognize that it may be time and person dependent. I plan on many future ART pieces from Vanh. Read Less

I had a bad experience here. Tried to get a heart that was an outline with a peace sign filled in...seemed like it should have been easy...but the artist, Fely did not fill the heart in evenly. He would not return my call or answer my email of complaint. Still, over after one month, trying to get owner to correct the work done by Fely. Having a hard time to get this resolved. Frustrated! The only thing I can say about Vanh's is that they are liars and refuse to take responsibility for their mistakes. Apparently, Vanh doesn't believe in customer service. Brought my daughter here for a nose piercing on Saturday. Two hours after getting it pierced it fell out. By that time the shop was closed and we had to wait until Monday to go in. They refused to do anything to make it right, instead blaming us for not following aftercare instructions, when in fact we were given no aftercare instructions other than to be told to clean it with salt water after I asked about it. The closest thing we got to aftercare instructions was when the guy who did the piercing ran down the stairs after us as we were leaving and asked if we had any questions. When we went back, he flat out lied, telling the owner that he had given us instructions. The owner was no better and just kept insisting that EVERYONE is given aftercare instructions, waving around a sheet of paper we never got. Basically she called both my daughter and me liars. The only thing she offered was 30 percent off an already inflated price and was rude to boot. I understand that mistakes are made, but it was made worse by the shabby treatment we got when we returned. It's bad enough that they didn't give us aftercare instructions, but there is no excuse for lying about it. They ruined my daughter's birthday.
